The ambiance was beautiful. The food was delicious. I loved my quesorita. My husband got seafood enchiladas and was disappointed with the portion size. Where we struggled was the service. We walked in and were waiting at the host stand. The hostess came up, didn't say anything and just stared at me. I asked for a table and she complained. I honestly felt like I was putting her out. Not a great start. Our server was friendly but delivered our order and didn't come back until he brought us the check. He didn't check on us, ask if we needed anything or refill our chips (which we did want).

I've been there quite a lot before but when I went last night I thought I would do an actual review. The food is great, I got the Portobello Mushroom Fajitas and they were spectacular! They have one of the best horchatas as well. The service was great, the people were nice and they got everything we wanted and got to us quick. The ambience, although loud, is for certain given how busy the place gets and how big it is. Obviously, it gets busy because it's good!

Monthly lunch meeting. First time here and it's quaint. I love the decor. The colorful lanterns and stars over the lobby; the bubble gum machine which looks like a gas pump; the fountain with flowers and the many rooms to dine in. Friendly greeter who showed me the way and informed to be careful of the step. I always need that being a clumsy person. The portions are large. If you have a large group they ask that you have one bill if possible so we split into groups. Also a 20% service fee added to the tab. Which was fine. Unfortunately the service did not meet the 20% higher price. Waters were not topped up on my end of the table. And a late comer waited as she wanted to order dessert only as she was late. But the server didn't come by and finally she walked up to find someone to take her order. I left before her food came so who knows what happened. I ate the grilled fish tacos. They were meh. One taco barely had any fish in it. The flavor was lackluster and I added salsa to it. Since the server never came to check on us I didn't get any hot sauce which might have made the tacos better. The chips and salsa were fine. Nothing stood out. For me the drive was not worth it as my dish lacked seasoning. It was cute and I would come again if the group wanted to. But I would not have high expectations. Parking was easy to find and in the women's restroom they were playing a Spanish language session which was unexpected. Interesting and unique.

Went here for dinner, super clean and quiet. Are waiter was so kind and help us out. The food was really good and came quick. The only thing was the alcoholic drinks were not strong at all. But overall very good place!

I've heard a lot about this place over the years & finally had the chance to try it today for lunch. Walked in with a group - 4 of us for lunch & we're seated right away in a booth. The booth was a little tight but we made it work and looked over the menu. Chips & salsa were brought out immediately the salsa was good & the chips were cold but good . We Started with some queso dip that was good & luckily the queso was hot. I ordered the pollo rellenos with the green chili on the side not smothered. Othered ordered chimichangas & fish tacos. Food came out rather quickly & we dug in. That's when I noticed my food wasn't hot is was kinda warm. Others noticed the same. The rice & beans were bland (luckily I carry a salt packet) so we salted our food- no salt & pepper shakers on the table. Then I tried my pollo rellenos & the tortilla was raw under the initial layer (on both of them!), so I sent them back & just ordered rice & beans. My friends who had chimichangas enjoyed their chimi's well enough (said they were mostly tortilla & bland meat) my friend who had the fish tacos said they were supposed to be blackened & were very under seasoned. Food was paid for, appropriate tips were left but I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

Passing this place a while back, I knew I had to try it. Finally, months later, I've found my way to Jose O'sheas. The dining rooms remind me of Casa Bonita with all of the different themes and decor. It's so fun and cool! The staff were friendly and I loved the attentive service. Carnitas Chile Verde. A massive portion for only $13 and so good. The carnitas were tender and the special sauce was to die for. Absolutely delicious and a must try on the menu. I'll definitely be back!

I went searching for a non chain bar or restaurant to support and was shocked to see that Lakewood CO of all places had a local distillery and just had to try it. It honestly exceeded my expectations as I originally planned on coming in for one drink but left after trying 3 because it was so good. My first drink was the Coffee, God and Cigarettes. This drink offered a well-balanced blend of bitter and sweet notes, both light and flavorful. The tobacco finish is present but not overpowering, making for a very enjoyable overall experience. The 2nd drink I got was the old fashioned.... Which was made with both whiskey and rum in it which left me a bit nervous to actually order it. But don't let the rum fool you, this is a classic-tasting delicious Old Fashioned. Ironically, the rum has more traditional whiskey character than their white whiskey (which tastes like scotch). If you like Old Fashioneds, you'll find this version delicious. I finished with the Serrano Cucumber Gimlet. It features a fresh cucumber essence and a well-balanced, subtle heat. A unique and excellent twist on the classic. All the in house spirits were great, Cameron the bartender on shift was able to answer any and all questions I had, the drinks were great and the atmosphere was wonderful. I'd definitely recommend giving this Lakewood distillery a shot

Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and kindly answered our questions about various dishes. Food came out fast, and several staff members passed by to ask us how everything was tasting. I started off with a strawberry lemonade and it was incredibly refreshing on a hot day. The charcuterie was delicious and we enjoyed every bit of it. Fruits were sweet and the pickled vegetables were especially good. Grilled cheese and tomato soup were very good, although I've had better elsewhere - Beechers in Seattle and tomato soup in Iceland, but I know that's not a fair comparison. For dessert, we ordered bread pudding, it was yummy and the perfect end to our meal. The ambience was nice and not too loud inside. Wish I was local, so I can dine here more often. Our server was great, good energy, and made multiple recommendations on the menu, including what may have recently changed, or been updated, on the menu. He highly recommended the strawberry margarita, noted that it wasn't sweet, and that they make all of their syrups, flavoring etc. in house, and this was a standout newer addition. He was right - it was delicious, refreshing for a hot summer day, and best of all, not overly sweet. For dinner, I had the filet, which came with a generous portion of super creamy, delicious mashed potatoes, asparagus, and the most wonderfully flavorful au jus. My steak was perfectly cooked the way I like it (medium rare). The dessert, a 'creme brûlée' was not at all your typical creme brûlée, and honestly, for me, fell a bit flat. I think it was made with some type of goat cheese, didn't have the lovely custardy/smooth consistency, volume, or depth. The fresh fruit on top was nice, but I only had a bite or so of this dessert we shared. Maybe call it something else, or alternatively, make sure when people order it they know it's non-traditional creme brûlée. Otherwise, wonderful meal, with great friends and we will absolutely be back!
