They are a neighborhood restaurant. A restaurant that doesn't deserve to call itself a restaurant. If you like chewing belt leather and enjoy the experience then this is the place for you. But I deserve better and more so when I am paying. It was money "well spent" for a flavorless experience. I like Mexican food. I regularly eat Mexican food. I know how real Mexican food should taste like. This was no Mexican food for two reasons - it was neither Mexican and more importantly it was not even food for human consumption. It was not food fit even for a goat. Have you ever heard of using a little salt to taste? Or did the salt mines run out of salt as we approach the end times? We ordered steak burritos and Enchiladas Suizas that came highly recommended from the gentleman at the counter. Steak burrito: No spice, flavorless goo of refried beans, rice and "steak". The steak was overcooked, dry, and had a faint smell that usually happens when cooked meat has been sitting in the freezer for a couple of days. For me it was an adventure for flavor and taste and the more I dug in looking for the flavor the more it was evident that the cook did not even have the basic idea of cooking; forget cooking for a restaurant. He will even fail cooking using an Easy Bake oven. That's how clueless he is. He is not even fit to cook in a famine ravaged country. He is that bad! But this is all my opinion based on my experience. Enchiladas Suizas: Slightly better relative to the burrito but then don't get your hopes up. When you are comparing crap, who cares which crap is better! Smelly, dry, flavorless chicken. I suspect that the incompetent cook thought that by some magic the sauce would infuse itself into the meat. But the cook ain't no David Copperfield and magic did not happen. The corn tortilla did not have much filling, it was a soggy mess and the chili pepper sauce had no hint of any chili. The rice was under-cooked. And the whole experience of eating that mess even on a hungry stomach was very painful. Would I ever go back? Yes........ when pigs fly. The Mexican restaurant that was there before was far better than this and still they went out of business. They could have been bad in business but they sure as hell knew how to cook. If I could a give negative rating, I would. This was, bar none, the worst restaurant experience in my life in any country. read more

Really friendly staff and amazing food. The first time I went I requested jalapeños in my burrito he offered that they could grill or leave them fresh. I'm really impressed he offered to go the extra step of grilling them, and makes you realize they are more about the food then just getting your order. This in my opinion one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been. I travel all over the country but this place is fresh, they work with you if you have different needs as for I'm a vegetarian. One of the best authentic Mexican places in town! I really love their Al Pastor tacos. Obviously they're known for their enchiladas but I highly recommend being adventurous on the menu! I crave their soup.... Especially when the owner makes the chicken tortilla soup. The alambres are good too. My boyfriend always gets the fish tacos - he loves them so much he won't order anything else! Super friendly wait staff. I'm gluten free and they're able to accommodate me with plenty of gluten free options. They even fry my tortilla chips separately. Prices are hard to beat anywhere else. We moved to the Twin Cities in the summer of 2016, and I have been on the search for a great Mexican restaurant. Las Enchiladas gets high marks for fresh salsas and enchiladas. Their mole and verde sauces had incredible depth of flavor. We had a trio of salsas, each with their own unique flavor and some nice heat. I had an amazing time at Las Enchiladas. My mother and I went on Sunday to Las Enchiladas around three P.M. which was happy hour, despite this the restaurant was practically empty. When you enter the restaurant you are able to seat yourself. At the front of the restaurant, there is a medium-sized wet bar with margarita glasses hanging from the ceiling. After ordering drinks, we ordered some chips and guacamole with some mild salsa on the side. Each chip was lightly salted and had an audible crunch to them with each bite. The guacamole on the side was garnished with pico de gallo and shredded mozzarella cheese. I ordered the American Style Steak Tacos and my mom had the Bistec a la Mexicana with flour tortillas on the side. Each plate looked like mini pieces of artwork which belonged in an art gallery. The array of colors displayed in my tacos looked like a little bouquet of flowers. When picking up my tacos, the light fluffy tortilla wrapped the thinly sliced steak, lettuce, and pico de gallo like a little baby wrapped in a soft blanket. The Bistec a La Mexicana was a vibrant masterpiece. The thinly sliced ribeye steak was lightly covered in a nice tomato paste sauce mixed with other spices. For dessert, we had the churros. For the filling there was the option of strawberry, caramel, or plain; we picked the caramel filling. Each churro was coated in a nice layer of regular white sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon. On the side was a little bowl of vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup drizzled lightly on top. The plate of churros radiated a nice warm feeling as I reached for them. Taken aback by the extreme sweetness, I couldn't help grabbing another this time dipping it into the vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup. As I dipped the churro into the ice cream the heat started to cause the ice cream to melt and coated the churro in a nice thin layer of creamy ice cream and swirls of chocolate. read more

Huge portions, hottest salsa I have ever had and fast service. It is a very small restaurant and the staff is very friendly. The menu has a better selection than most restaurants. I have had the Alambres (plate faijtas) and the steak Burrito (both were ginormous). You wont leave hungry. read more

Great authentic Mexican food. Created and made with care and pure ingredients. Prices are great considering you are getting quality made from scratch authentic Mexican food with local ingredients. I've purchased multiple things off the menu with no dissapintment. I highly recommend this restaurant for eat in or take out. Sounds like they are getting their liquor license soon and are gonna start creating some unique margaritas on top of a normal drink selection. AMAZING!!! I had never tried real authentic Mexican food until I came to Las Enchiladas and wow I am so glad i came here!!! ever since my first time coming here Ive been hooked! THE BEST CHICKEN QUESADILLA IVE EVER HAD I mean seriously!! The next day I was craving other one!! They use Tinga (juicy seasoned shredded chicken) in a lot of their dishes (i got it in my quesadilla) and it is sooo good, Ive never tasted anything so juicy and perfectly seasoned, not hot but you can make it spicy if you'd like! You get a bang for you buck here! Big portions of food for cheap prices, my burrito was almost bigger than the plate! and food comes out quick! The menu has so many different options including vegetarian versions of their dishes. OH!! the salsa!!! You have to try their salsa! bursting with flavor, i love the mild salsa and roasted salsa. Not to mention the queso: hot and creamy, the perfect start to a meal. they also have the most amazing HOMEMADE Flan(caramel flavored milk cake)!!! The workers are all very nice and treat everyone like they are family! It is a family restaurant so the brothers sometimes work at the same time and I always get a kick out of their little laughs and how they tease each other, so funny! When I went for my first time I had Brandon as my server, he looked around my age and he was super friendly and thoroughly answered all of my questions about the menu even though I had a bunch of them ;) very polite nice man!! The cook, Edgar, will often come out and greet new people which was really nice and refreshing to me as a new customer! The place isn't really big but there is a patio too, its very welcoming with music and personable service. We were in Farmington for our daughter's volleyball game and relied on Yelp to give us a good place for lunch. This was EXCELLENT and lived up to its rave reviews! We started with the queso dip based on another review and it was different than the traditional that we have in other Mexican restaurants - delicious and you could tell it was homemade. I had the tacos al pastor American style with flour tortilla and lettuce/cheese. Wow. Great choice - the meat was charred a bit just the way I like it and the tortilla (also fresh made) was grilled so it had a bit of crunch. Husband had Tinga chicken tacos Mexican style with cilantro/lime on corn tortillas and loved his as well. We weren't going to get a dessert until Edgar (our super friendly waiter) mentioned churros. It took a while but we realized it was because they were frying to order and wanted to switch out the oil since it was a sweet dish. They REALLY care about their quality!!! It was filled with this amazing caramel cream that I've never experienced before. You know what else? They actually comped it for taking a while - no need, it was totally appreciated that they wanted it to be fresh - such a nice gesture. Can't wait to go back! read more
