A solid place for that after work Marg or quick weekday dinner. Las Fuentes checks a lot of boxes for a restaurant that is pretty much exactly what you would expect. You come for the large marg and end up ordering a full dinner. I judge a Mexican restaurant quite a bit on their chips and dip, with it being free and bottomless being at the top of the list. This place clears that bar. Although the chips felt more store bought than those thin home-made ones. The weather is finally getting nicer and we were able to sit outside, which is highly recommended. The service was great and quick. Our food was very well prepared and my carne asada exceptionally seasoned. Portion sizes are exactly what you'd want. Overall a great experience with not much to complain about! read more

Food was presented beautifully, art on a (small) plate. Chicken enchilada lunch special $9+ was subpar. Temperature of food was not hot, even though plates were hot to the touch. Tough tortillas were next to impossible to cut through and although Chicken was the only filling, it is not seasoned and is also quite tough to chew. Chips follow the Tough and bland script salsa has no bite at all but jarred hot sauces are on table for customers to use. Service is excellent. Couldn't ask for a better waiter on our visit. Can't say we would come again for the food. read more

Food was way overpriced and just mediocre. $7 for a tiny dish of guac and $16 for the fresh guac. Almost $19 for a fajita quesadilla. My wife had a house lime margarita which was bland. Salsa was just ok. Service was excellent. Her name was Alejandra. Unfortunately we will not be back. read more

My family ordered take out last Saturday evening and was very disappointed. I ordered the Chimichanga Las Fuentes that was $21 and I expected it to be worth $21. When I got home I was shocked. I've included the picture of my chimichanga on a "bed of peppers, mushrooms, and onions". I didn't receive the Mexican salad that it was supposed to come with either. My wife's food was good and the portion was decent. It was also only $12! There is definitely room to grow for this place, especially with some of their current prices. The service was fine although I didn't experience much of it seeing as I had a take out order. There's too many Mexican food restaurants that are superior to this one so I probably won't be back. read more

First time visiting this restaurant and was quite disappointed. We were charged more than what was listed in the menu. The food was o.k. at best - quite bland. Prove off soft drinks $3.50. The waitress, Maria, was not at all attentive. After taking the order, the food was delivered by "robot". Not once did the waitress check on us nor offer to fill our drinks. There are too many better Mexican restaurants in our area. We won't return. read more

We tried to come here before during dinner time on a Friday and the wait wS so long we didn't wait. This time we come at 9pm for a late dinner and got seated right away. This place feels a bit different than a typical Mexican restaurant. The plating is more sophisticated. Flavor can be more intense. read more

Drink menu has no prices, Server was rude & called me buddy so I left immediately. The demeanor of the server & audacity to refer to me as "buddy" I will not ever go to this location again. The restaurant looked dirty so I asked to be seated outside. Was even worse, cigarettes and food left out for who knows how long. 2/10 only bc the chips and salsa were a 6/10. Don't reccomend wasting your time lol. read more

This review is based on ordering from Las Fuentes with the DoorDash Delivery Service. If I was going to give Las Fuentes a review solely based on how good the food was, I would give 5 stars. After I factor in the fact that the Fajita for 2, 1 Meat is priced at $28 but we only got what looks to be 1 of their Fajita for 1, 1 Meat b/c there was only 3 flour tortillas & the amount of meat & other fixing for the Fajitas & the sides looked more like the amount for what would be for 1 person not 2 as it said. Also I order 2 of their Limonada Mineral drinks but we didn't get those at all. Frankly IMO Las Fuentes is over priced for the amount of food you get. I wouldn't tell anyone I know to go try them out, I would send them to La Pachanga in Arnold, Mo if they wanted Mexican food their prices are more in line with the amount of food you get & La Pachanga's food is better. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars & not 2 is b/c DoorDash refunded me $31.45 of the total of just over $67 which was the amount charged for dinner for 3 adults. read more

Went there today and the server over charged me for my meal. There was 3 extra meals added to my order and when I asked about the bill the waiter seemed awfully suspicious like he knew it was overcharged. Could have just been a mistake but the service was also very slow and they are understaffed so I will not be coming back. read more

Good food, but terribly over priced for the area since they closed & reopened after the fire. $15 for a plate of carne asada tacos is ok, if you're upscale & located somewhere a little more posh, but it's not upscale & it's here in Arnold...no. Just no. They even start charging for chips & salsa after the first basket. Which is whatever, but other places don't have to do that. I'm just saying. I recommend a place called Las Brias In Pevely. Menu is huge and has photos of everything, and the same tacos, but with more sides & sauces are $5 cheaper. Plus you get all the chips and dip your heart desires. DO NOT OPT FOR THE FRESH GUACAMOLE. They just over charge you for a buffet of fresh ingredients, but you are essentially making your own guacamole. It's not mixed at all, which might be fun for some, but someone like my husband or sister would have no clue what to do to make their guacamole tasty. Stupid idea. I get it, but its no good. Some ideas are just better left uncreated. read more

The cheese dip to start out with is to die for. Lunch specials ate constantly changing and are always good. Tatiana was an attentive waitress, before, during and after the meal. This is always a pleasant place to dine with quick, great, reasonably priced food. read more

Stopped in for lunch while shopping and found very friendly service and good food. I ordered bean burritos and rice and it was good but lacking s little flavor. First time at this place and will never be back.I wouldn't even feed this food my dog. My waitresses made me take my buring hot plate out of her hands. My girlfriend got a taco salad and it was literally shredded lettuce and canned chicken. Our server had an attitude and was snobby. read more

I ate here twice with my wife over the past couple of weeks. This place is just like most of the other Mexican restaurants you've visited. A combination number one consists of two enchiladas and a taco, just like at El Maguey, El Paisano, etc. So, you pretty much know what to expect from these type of restaurants. The decor of this place is pretty decent, but the food on the other hand, is not. I got the same thing (Combo #1) both times I came here. The first time it was just average. Nothing spectacular, just average. It took the server a long while to greet our table, which always bugs me when the restaurant isn't busy. The chips were pretty good, while the salsa was just ok. I left here the first time thinking I might give it another shot if and when the time came. Well, that next time came last Friday when my wife wanted Mexican food. I can sum up our second visit here in one word: awful. From the moment we sat down, service was very poor. I believe we saw our waiter a grand total of 3 times. Once to take our order, once to bring our drinks, and again when we had to hunt him down to get the check. Others brought us our food and a refill. Our waiter never even came over to ask how our dinner was. It's probably a good thing he didn't, because the food was flat out bad. The same combo#1 I got was bland as can be. Rice and enchiladas had no flavor. The tortilla for the enchilada seemed undercooked and tasted funny. I just stopped eatinf it. The only thing that was decent was the hard shell taco. But seriously, how hard is it to mess up a taco with ground beef and cheese? I could make this at my house, and I'm not exactly Gordon Ramsay. All in all, the poor service and mediocre food ruined it for me. Sorry Las Fuentes, I won't be back. read more

I received a birthday coupon for this place, buy one entree for $8.95 and receive one free . My wife was in a class so I took my two girls. I asked if they could count their two meals as one entree. The waitress asked the manager and they said no so I simply ordered an entree for them to split. When the waitress took my card for payment she came back and said that the coupon also requires a purchase of an adult size beverage. Apparently the sodas my two girls had were not adult size. I told the waitress just forget the coupon and I will never be back again. She profusely apologized and I told her it was not her fault it was just ignorant management. read more

Thank you for reopening! We missed the authenticity of the Mexican food during the fire recovery! The staff are excellent and attentive, the margaritas are amazing and the chimichanga is over the top cheesy and filling. The restaurant and bathrooms were really clean but food was bland. Chips were stale. Sent them back to get new basket and they were stale also. Salsa is not good. Waiter was nice and working hard but the language barrier was tough. My friend ordered a small margarita and I an extra large. They were both the same size. When you order beef it is hamburger. Don't think they'll see me again. Great Mexican restaurants everywhere. read more

Mexican food is one type of food I could eat the rest of my life. I've been to my share of mexican restaurants, and while it won't beat the authentic food we got while in the country of Mexico, this restaurant was pretty good. The atmosphere was nice. You can tell a lot of people visit here as it was a Wednesday night and it was crowded. We were seated right away and our waitress came and took our drink orders immediately while we were given chips and salsa. My husband ordered the fried tacos and I got the flautas with chicken. Muy bueno!! Mine was topped with the white cheese, which is to die for and there's enough to dip your chips into if you didn't order the cheese as an appetizer. We both were stuffed upon finishing and the waitress gave us drinks to go without us having to ask, which was nice. read more

Had the carnitas michoacanas. They marinate it dos eques & orange juice. This was to die for!!!! The meat melted in my mouth & they were large pieces. Also split a beef chalupa it had great seasoning on the meat & was very full of meat & toppings. The chimichanga las fuentas was good the grilled onion & mushroom with the cheese sauce was awesome. Highly recommending all 3 of these dishes read more

I would give the service here a negative star rating. We were seated quickly and our drink order was taken. That doesn't sound too bad, but we then waited for a good 15 minutes to only have another server ask if we would like something to drink. We told them and then waited another 5 minutes or so for them to come with the drinks. I would expect this if they were busy, but there were only a few people in the restaurant. The food on the other had was amazing!!! The chips were fresh and the tacos were delicious. If you don't mind dealing with ultra slow service, then the payoff for the amazing food is worth it. Update: We went back for a second time and the experience was totally different. The service was quick and the food was still again amazing. So glad that a friend Tortillaria in the CWE but this saves us trip to the city when we are looking for good authentic Mexican. If everything stays consistent I would be happy to give this a 5 star!! read more

Been going here for 4+ years... and it's our favorite place to eat! They always give Plenty to eat. I love the Alambre plate, my fiancé love the Burrito Grande. They have nightly drink specials and I Love their margaritas... We've taken many friends and now they're taking their friends! Try it... It may become your new favorite place too! read more

I understand busy, having been in food service most of my life, but they need to get it together. Like I said, the food's always delicious, and I love it. Taco salads are my go to, but chimicangas and enchiladas are fantastic all the time. Give it a try, but bring your own water. Just in case.

I got the create your own combo with a cheese quesadilla and two enchiladas. The quesadilla was no frills, literally what I could make at home. We also got the Mexican street corn, which was good but came out cold. The service was slow and getting our food was also slow. I felt like we got forgotten about quite a bit because we were in the corner. The best part about the whole thing was the robot that carried the food to our table, that was unique!
