I ordered five (5) tacos: 2 shredded chicken, 1 carnitas, 1 shredded beef, 1 egg and potato. Got my tacos but couldn't find any salsa in the bag. Ran back in and asked them "where's the salsa?" Answer: no salsa! Wow, never heard of a Mexican restaurant not providing salsa with tacos order? Seriously? The tacos are good; however. All the meats are tender. Shredded chicken is actually a bit weird as tacos came with some kind of red sauce. I thought it was a mistake at first. But it tasted good so, okay, fine then. Food is inexpensive, salsa is not! It's $2.50 for a small serving (as pictured) that you would usually get for free at other restaurants.

This place used to be great back in the day. Haven't been in years. Brother asked me to pick up two pints of salsa for SB party. Two pints of tomato water 24 dollars with tax. Nothing in it but liquid. Disappointed and disgusted. Lesson learned.

I'm not going to lie. Most of the time I come to Las Golondrinas for a bag of their tortilla chips. They're just that good. They don't need salsa or anything. Just right outta the bag. I especially like getting them during the holidays when they dye them green and red. Nice little festive touch. But beyond that, their food here is just delicious. They taste homemade and are packed with flavor. From their breakfast burritos to their chicken burritos, they've just never done me wrong. This particular location is small and somewhat tucked away which helps keeps it less crowded than other locations. It definitely has a 'locals only' feel to it as the customers all walk in knowing exactly what they want as if they come here on a regular basis. That only helps prove that this place is no joke.

Staff: They were nice but no name tags to acknowledge anyone in particular. Quality/Quantity : We got 2 orders of taquitos, 2 hard tacos, carne asada burrito, chips, and 2 Mexican sodas. The food was good but the salsa was amazing. I got the hot one. Portions are okay to me. Value: Fair as everything I listed above was $38. However, they didn't give free chips and salsa. To me if I am buying Mexican food from a restaurant that should automatically be included for free. Overall: I thought it was good and would return.

The mini bean and cheese burritos are the best. They have guacamole in different sizes available for purchase.

I'll it was dinner rush hour the salsa bar had many people waiting as if you have people eating there with families it takes for ever to fill the tiny travel cups as there were not individuals. The customers and I were cracking jokes about having to be the provider for the family and having to bring all the things requested home. Anyhow good food always great, this time I asked for two water cups as the lemon wedges wound not fit in the tiny containers as well as the hot peppers due to size and I have five people asking for this stuff. I had also to get radishes and pico de gallo. Remember I had two small water cups of everything in it. I went to go get my food to go and had this guy working there humiliate and yell at me that the cups were not for taking shit home and they were only for water. I tried to explain that it's five peoples orders there and that we spend 80-150 every weeks and it's five of us. He didn't stop he started yelling at me in front of everyone again as the other guy working up front laughed and gave me the worst look of disgust. This behavior had to stop .if you provide bags for lemons that fit great prob solved or bags for peppers but to fit give peoples stuff all in two small water cups is only a little bit of each thing not a cup full of any one thing. I told him tjat he had no right to speak to me like that and if the owner was there . He gave me my food and it was missing own double carne asada bowl. He caught it before I left and gave them to me with attitude no apology and then there was another guy that cam and did the same thing. Be ware here if you a a large family and get an order to go they expect you to stand there and block all the other customer for 15 mins while you load and fight to fit things in the tiny containers. Not reasonable of you are the one waiting for them to move. Now if you wanna change for lemons or salsa then do it but if I order for give people and we eat there at least once a week every week figure it out don't abuse your customers this way . It was literally verbal abuse and this is the second time the last time the guy with longer hair was arguing with my mom that's they don't make the tortillas more toasty or little more cooked . It was an argument that was not true as we have come here and we have always had them like that. So what did we get tostadas! We never asked for tostadas and I'm bilingual and speak fluent Spanish so this was not a language barrier thing. So sad I had to be treated like an abuser when all I was doing was trying to clear out of the bar fast to let others in at a timely manner and also fit the stuff I for five people. If you are the owner or manager please reach out I'd love to discuss this super abusive experience with you. If this is such a horrible things provide containers that fit your items and if it s cost that the issue for 7 slices of lemons for 5 people , half cup of radishes and pico de gallo and peppers than charge for it but it really wasn't a lot it's just that they see the cup full and it was all sides . Anyhow if it's cost just charge for it do t treat your customers like trash. There is no gain from that abuse . I left went in my car and was crying. My husband was asking what happened to me. Please reach out this is not ok

We arrived around 7:00 p.m. and were seated on the patio right away without any wait. The food was amazing! The Our Famous Carnitas ($29) was absolutely delicious, served with tender braised pork, rice, beans, guacamole, salsa cruda, and tortillas. It's now my favorite dish at the restaurant! The braised pork was cooked perfectly, flavorful, juicy, and incredibly tender. We also ordered the Tacos De Hongo ($39), which were excellent as well. The prime outside skirt steak was perfectly cooked and paired wonderfully with the portobello mushrooms and grilled onions. Thanks to our server for recommending these two dishes, I might have ordered something completely different otherwise! For dessert, we had the Butter Cake ($16), and it was outstanding. So far, it's the best butter cake I've ever had. The service was excellent! Our server was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations truly made our dining experience even better. The prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food and service. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience at Sol Agave in San Juan Capistrano. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes, and I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends!

I completely understand that gratuity is automatically included once you reach a certain party size, and I have no problem with that. However, our group consisted mostly of kids, and one of the adults wanted to order a kids meal because they weren't very hungry. The request was denied by our server. As someone who manages a restaurant myself, I understand the reasoning behind the policy. That said, I also believe there are situations where a little flexibility can go a long way in creating a great guest experience. It wasn't a huge issue, but it did leave us feeling like the restaurant was prioritizing policy over hospitality. Overall, the food and ambiance were excellent, and I'd still recommend Soy Agave for a nice night out. I just hope there can be a little more discretion in situations like this moving forward.
