We stopped by in a bit of a rush to grab dinner and were told there was already a wait for both indoor seating and the bar. Since we only had about 25 minutes, we decided to order takeout and eat at the outdoor tables instead. After we placed our order, Cat went above and beyond by letting us know that seats had just opened up at the bar and graciously accommodated us inside. That level of customer service was truly appreciated and made our experience even better. Obi took our takeout order and was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful throughout the process. The sushi was fresh, delicious, and exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back!

Our favorite local sushi place! It's always busy, so if you plan on going highly recommended to make a reservation. We love that you can custom all the rolls. Most of the time we'll do rice less rolls and they add extra crab for an up charge. They have so many different rolls to choose from and the sushi always tastes fresh. All the staff there a super friendly and attentive. They don't have 3rd party deliver, so we always call in and pick up weekly.

Sushi is always a good idea, and I loved my time here at Muse! Plan ahead- the wait was long on a Saturday night, but so worth it. The space and set up of the restaurant feels very communal and lively, the service is great too. We sat at the bar area so the sushi chef personally took our orders and handed us everything, felt more intimate and special. Tried the ocean zest and oaks flavor rolls- both were very yummy but I liked the oaks flavor more. It uses real crab which felt gourmet compared to your usual imitation crab. It had a good amount of tobiko on top and the sushi rice was just perfect. The ocean zest roll was unique to say the least- I'm not sure if lemon slices and cilantro on my sushi is something I would reorder, but I'm glad I tried and the fish inside was great! We also tried the unagi nigiri and the eel slice was nice and fat and flavorful, can't go wrong with this one. I'm never usually in this part of Orange County, but I would definitely make the trip again to revisit Muse and try more of their menu. Maybe I'd go earlier in the day to avoid the wait though.

North end of the Center at Rancho Niguel shopping center. End cap facing Greenfield Drive close to the 73 toll road. Full service sitdown restaurant. Fast and extremely friendly service in a casual atmosphere! I tried edamame, miso soup, snapper, to die for roll, blue fin tuna, needlefish, and the kicker roll. Everything was super fresh and amazing! Be sure to check out the specials on the white board before deciding what to order.

I'm giving five stars to Use Sushi in Laguna Niguel! I had seen the great reviews and couldn't wait to try it, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The restaurant was packed, which is always a great sign for a sushi spot. The prices were very reasonable, and the sushi was truly top-notch. We ordered the Ocean Crunch roll, which was incredible, and the spicy tuna was excellent as well. Honestly, we enjoyed everything we tried. The employees were friendly, attentive, and very responsive. We will definitely be making this our new go-to local sushi spot!

Soooo amazing definitely coming back here!! The fish was so yummy and the ambiance was perfect. I needed a place like this close by

Great selection of rolls from traditional to eclectic, vegetarian to rare seafood. I have never experienced such a fast turnaround time for getting quality sushi between the minute that we ordered to 10 minutes when the first three rolls that we ordered were at our table. The ambiance was also a standout with the high ceilings and kitchen in the corner and although it was very busy and crowded, it never felt too loud to think. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars was the over eagerness of the staff to get us to leave even though there were multiple tables open that those waiting could've been seated at. We weren't even given the option to consider dessert - however having been in restaurant business I respect the move as you also want to give servers a break as well.

    Halibut sushi

OMG!! New favorite sushi restaurant!!! I literally never want to go anywhere else! I had the halibut sushi with yuzu, blue fin sushi with fresh wasabi, and tai sushi with yuzu and green onions (red snapper flown in from Japan). This restaurant blows everyone else out of the water. It's SO FRESH and the flavors are amazing!!! I'm extremely picky when it comes to sushi, so when my husband said once I go here I'll never want to go anywhere else, I didn't believe him. After trying for myself, I never want to go anywhere else! My previous go-to spots were Bluefin in Newport Coast and Sugar Fish in CdM. I'm literally writing this review while sitting at the sushi bar because it's THAT GOOD! Good prices too, but most important is the quality of the sushi! They also have great service and a great atmosphere! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!! A MUST GO!

Stumbled upon Muse Sushi House after a trip to Nordstrom rack! Not usually in this area but we saw it across the plaza and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was packed and lively but that did not stop the team from greeting each group that came in or checking on each table regularly. We sat at the sushi bar and had a great experience. Even though we were in the corner, the sushi chef and wait staff were always there to help, refill, or take additional orders. We ordered a chirashi bowl, kicker roll, unagi hand roll, ocean zest roll, fresh wasabi and some beer. The fish was so fresh and tasty! The rolls were a great size and had the perfect fish to rice ratio. Was overwhelmed by the amount of options, which is a good problem to have but now I have to come back to try more! Hoping to try out their unagi bowl and lunch special next time. There is plenty of parking in the plaza and you can join the waitlist from Yelp. Great spot with delicious food and friendly service!

Excellent value for their lunch special $15 or $20 for a sushi or sashimi or hand roll (3) set with miso soup and salad. Hoping they don't raise the price on this lunch special because it's a good value and I'm happy to support this family owned business . Fish quality was good and service friendly . Ambiance is modern with an upscale design .

I don't remember that I ever had sushi that bad! Sushi were not rolled properly and rice and fish quality was not good

Just came back for dinner tonight, 3 weeks later, and wanted to update the review. It was a long wait (30+ mins) but it was worth it at the end. We had a great dinner. We both ordered the same thing again, the salmon teriyaki bowl. Delicious! Very simple bowl with just rice, cucumber, tomato slices, and a nice piece of salmon. They do not serve it with any other items like most places but it was simply delicious. Updated to 5-star from 4-star last visit. ********************** We were going to pick up some Mexican food next door for dinner but they were closed and the door is locked right at 6:00 pm when we arrived. We decided to try Muse Sushi instead. My husband doesn't eat sushi or raw fish of any kind so we hardly ever go to sushi restaurants . The place was totally full for a Sunday evening. People were even sitting on a bench inside waiting and standing outside. We thought, hmm this is a good sign. We both had the same thing, the chicken teriyaki bowl, and some rolls. Yeah, boring, I know. . . But we would rather be safe. The chicken bowls were good, and it was nice that they use white meat instead of dark meat. The tempura rolls however was just okay. Hardly any tempura and mostly avocado. Service was good. We had Apple as our server and she was great. Attentive and pleasant. The other employees were also polite. Adding to our list of restaurants to return. I want to try out several menu items so we'll be back with my daughter soon. She loves sushi!

Best sushi in OC!!!! So I'm a foodie if it's not obvious so I was walking outside and ran into my neighbor one day and he told me this was the best spot ever for sushi so I decided to try it! And ommggggg I'm wishing knew about it sooner it's soooooo gooodd!!!! The fish is so fresh melts in your mouth and just unreal!!! I will be coming here from now on whenever I'm craving sushi! Also you can make reservations on Yelp which make it really convenient. Service was also amazing! Can't wait to come back.

My mellow yellow roll. This is all that came with my order. Looks so yummy

And it starts at ten bucks. That's a ridiculous bargain. In a white tablecloth Italian restaurant, the same cheese wheel theater could easily run north of thirty dollars, probably delivered by someone wearing an apron cleaner than your kitchen towels. You can add chicken and other toppings, but I went with the three flavor pasta trio, served on a wooden plank. It's visually impressive, filling, and compared with most quick-service food these days, a genuinely respectable value. There is, however, one important thing to understand before walking through the door, everything begins with Alfredo. Pesto, tomato, and the other flavors are added afterward, but the creamy cheese sauce is the foundation. If Alfredo isn't your thing, this probably isn't your place. My wife is firmly in that camp, so she ordered a salad. That's where the operation started to wobble. The lettuce was wilted, and the green goddess dressing had an odd, unpleasant flavor. We also ordered pita bread, which appeared to have been removed from a plastic bag, cut into pieces, and dropped onto a plate without heat, seasoning, or much thought. It was cold, slightly stale, and depressing. The frustrating part is that both problems are easy to fix. Toast the pita. Brush it with olive oil. Add a little salt and herbs. Treat the salad like someone might actually be excited to eat it. The pasta trio, though? Solid. Rich, satisfying, and an excellent deal. Judging by the packed dining room on a Friday night, plenty of other people have reached the same conclusion. Zesty Olive has the Alfredo pasta experience down. Add one genuinely good olive oil based pasta for people who don't want the cream and cheese, and bring the salads and sides up to the same standard as the main attraction. Do that, and they may have a real winner.

The Food: Always fresh and delicious. I usually use a coupon, which helps, but even without one, the quality is consistent. Every time I've come in, the team has been incredibly helpful and friendly. Great service goes a long way! I'm not a big fan of the self-service digital kiosks. It feels a bit impersonal and less intuitive than just talking to someone. For such a large restaurant, it feels surprisingly empty. It's quite cold inside, and the seating is--to put it bluntly--brutal. The chairs have zero cushion and are extremely uncomfortable for sitting longer than five minutes. The bathrooms were not well-maintained during my visits, which is disappointing for a newer location. It feels a little overpriced for a "fast-casual" meal, especially if you don't have a discount. I'll definitely keep coming back because the food is great and the staff is wonderful, but I'll probably stick to takeout. A few small changes--like more comfortable seating, a warmer interior, and better upkeep--would make this a much better place to actually sit down and eat. **Pro-tip:** Keep an eye out for coupons in the app to make the price point feel more reasonable!

I prefer the human experience but those who like to order their food though a computer tablet can too. Service: 5 stars. The cashier was a nice guy. I asked him how it worked at "Sweetgreen" and he walked me through it with patience. I tossed around the idea of a steak bowl or a chicken bowl and after reading the descriptions, I decided to build my own bowl. The computer tablets let me touch the pictures to select what went into my bowl: Chicken, Sweet potatoes, Quina, Olive oil, that sort of thing. A slice of bread came with it. Value: 4 Stars. This is tricky. Let's face it. The place is expensive. In and Out hamburger is across the street. They have a burger for like $6. "Why did I write it is tricky?" you ask. Unexpectedly, I found the bowl filling. Another place, for the same money, would leave me full, if not stuffed. This place, "Sweetgreen," leaves me satisfied after half a bowl. It took the other half home. I guess eating nutritious food kills the appetite. So, my 'Build your own bowl' cost me $15 but I could have split it or eaten it later. Which I did. Quality: 5 Stars. First bite, I knew the food was fresh. A few more bites and I felt satisfied. A few more and I felt like I was forcing myself to eat. If I was going to eat healthy and out, and only one meal a day, it would be this. 4.5 stars overall.

I'd driven past it plenty of times on the way to the dog groomer and never once felt compelled to stop. Friday night changed that. We were hungry, but not sit-down-for-two-hours hungry. We wanted something better than fast food, but not some overproduced evening of cocktails and self-importance. We wanted food worth getting out of the car for. Rangeen hit that mark beautifully. Getting my wife on board took some work. She's not a curry person. But a few online photos of fresh, vibrant salads were enough to win her over. Inside, the place still showed traces of whatever came before it, a blank quick-serve menu screen hanging awkwardly over the counter, like a relic from another life. But this was table service, and a perfectly comfortable one at that. There were maybe eight or nine tables, and one lone server holding down the front of house. Casual, older, thin, moving with purpose. She greeted us warmly, dropped menus, answered the phone, checked back often, kept the table tidy, and somehow managed to make the whole room feel cared for without a hint of drama. I went for the spicy mango chicken. My wife chose a healthy-looking salad with grilled sweet potatoes, nuts, and all the things I generally avoid unless someone smarter than me orders them first. We added naan, because not ordering naan would have been foolish. The food took a few minutes longer than the impatient part of your brain might expect. But then it arrived, and suddenly none of that mattered. My dish was excellent: nicely seasoned bite-sized pieces of chicken, rice, a fresh side salad, and a spicy sauce that pulled the whole thing together with real intention. And the plating, that was the surprise. This wasn't tossed on a plate like an afterthought from the spot next to the grocery store. It looked like someone actually gave a damn. And that, really, is what stays with you. Not just that the food was good, but that care had gone into it. The ingredients may not have been expensive, I say that as someone who owns restaurants and knows roughly what things cost, but value isn't about raw food cost. It's about what arrives at the table, how it's presented, and whether anybody in the building seems to care if you enjoy it. At $19, this was a steal. For about the price of a drive-thru burger meal, I got something thoughtful, well executed, and satisfying enough to remind me why local places like this matter. And to the party of four next to us who only left a five-dollar tip: do better.
