    Welcome!

Hit up a Saturday lunch with a friend! This was the perfect spot! Great atmosphere, staff was attentive but gave us space to chat and the food was on point! It's not cheap but to me the value is there. The street tacos were amazing especially the shrimp. Excellent variety of tequila including my favorite Fortelleza.

Soy Agave is a great spot for a special occasion. The food is consistently good, the atmosphere is beautiful, and it's definitely more of a destination restaurant than an everyday dinner spot. My only issue came during my most recent visit. I completely understand that gratuity is automatically included once you reach a certain party size, and I have no problem with that. However, our group consisted mostly of kids, and one of the adults wanted to order a kids meal because they weren't very hungry. The request was denied by our server. As someone who manages a restaurant myself, I understand the reasoning behind the policy. That said, I also believe there are situations where a little flexibility can go a long way in creating a great guest experience. It wasn't a huge issue, but it did leave us feeling like the restaurant was prioritizing policy over hospitality. Overall, the food and ambiance were excellent, and I'd still recommend Soy Agave for a nice night out. I just hope there can be a little more discretion in situations like this moving forward.

Coming in feels like I stepped into a wonderful tapas spot. I was visiting friends when I came to hear about this spot. The establishment is gorgeous and elegant. The attire we came in was smart casual. And I think this spot would be a great date spot. It's good for groups too. We had 6 in our group. They do have happy hour everyday and if I recall, it's from 3-6? Sorry bad memory. But really the food we ordered and shared was super satisfying! I had ordered the calamari and their new item quesabirria tacos. It comes with 3 tacos. I share the calamari. It hit the spot I got super full. The chips and salsa and beans hit the spot too. I didn't catch our servers name but she was super attentive to our water cups and orders. Everyone get was kind and welcoming.

First time at Sol Agave. Father's Day weekend not too busy. Waited about 15-20 min to be seated without reservation(Great!)). Server seemed nice, once he took our order he was looking at other guest receipts not paying attention to getting our order. We waited about 40-45 min to get our order. He came in 2x to double check how we wanted our steak/ lamb. Not sure if 40 min is the normal wait time. Server and manager did apologize for the wait time. We showed up on Valentine's Day. They were slammed and we didn't see any open tables. The host of the staff did an amazing job taking us last minute and seating us within five minutes. I was pleasantly surprised because we just dropped in and out of nowhere. The food took a little while to come out, but we were complaining because we showed up on Valentines night without reservations. They were very accommodating and apologetic, really great service. They even sent me home with a.Tres Leches cake. We always have a good experience when we visit.

Just like their other location in San Clemente, this Sol Agave was amazing! I had made a reservation for dinner but they really weren't that busy at all and parking is super easy to find. The service was pleasant and efficient, and the ambiance was romantic with dim and modern lighting. Our food was very delicious. I highly recommend the lobster enchiladas and chile Colorado. Their sauce on both was savory and flavorful.

Love this spot so much! Cesar was our waiter and let me tell you he was absolutely the best we have had there. He was so attentive and kind and was always making sure we were okay. He really took care of us!! We will definitely ask for him when we dine there again. Thank you Cesar for going above and beyond! Cesar made us feel like home and so comfortable not rushed. And the fluffy carajillo was the best I have ever had! And there white rice!!

I'm sad I've waited so long to try this place it's been highly recommended forever and I've been too lazy I guess. But it was so good I'll definitely be back. The place was packed but the wait was minimal. Ambiance is nice with new decor and plenty of seating. Service was outstanding as we had multiple baskets of chips delivered and our drinks were always full. Our meals were absolutely delicious! The seafood enchiladas had plenty of seafood with thick and tasty tortillas making it the perfect combo. Add the rice and excellent garnish and it was one of my favorite meals. I tried my wife's mole as well and that was so tasty with some good kick. Overall this is one of my new favorite places and now ranks atop my list. Do not sleep on this place, go now.

SJC: very loud in this beautiful restaurant on a packed Friday night so we opted to eat on the patio. Impeccable service five stars for hostess and servers. Jalapeño Soup which was bright & delicious with just enough heat but wayyyy too much salt. Three of us agreed and let them know that maybe someone was heavy-handed with the salt. Or is it just a salty soup? Grilled salad with New York Steak: steak was cooked perfectly with great seasoning, just wish the salad had more essence of the grill. Needed more love from the kitchen. Salmon salad with pepita cilantro dressing was good with tender and lightly seasoned salmon. Very good. Chili Renellos two ways - one cheese and one Carnitas. Very good, excellent flavor and nicely presented. Love the black beans and the Vera Cruz rice. House margaritas were delicious and of course the chips and salsa with those frijoles they bring are amazing. Best chips, salsa, frijole dip combo at any Mexican restaurant. Again, stellar service on a crowded night. 5/16/25

First off, the service was impeccable. The bathrooms were beautiful and immaculate. We were quickly seated and the waiter accommodated my daughter's request for strawberry lemonade even though it wasn't on the menu. I loved the fact that the chips came with a little bean dip with cotija. Everything we ate was really tasty. The fries and black beans were excellent. The only thing I didn't care for was the Al Pastor as it was very greasy. Too greasy to eat. However, everything else was so yummy and the staff was so kind that I had to give 5 stars.

First, there's the sophisticated bar, which is smoke-free and the perfect spot for high-end spirits and amazing cocktails (The Gov'ner Old Fashioned is a must-try!). The staff are welcoming, friendly, and always smiling! They've started adding some events to the schedule, like Whistlepig/Cigar tastings, Cajun Boil, Macallan tastings, and wine tastings. They're also introducing a late-night happy hour with food and live music, which is a great way to enjoy a sophisticated drink when most restaurants have closed in the area. The second part of the lounge is the two cigar lounges: the day lounge and the VIP lounge, which has lockers. Both lounges have high-end luxury seating and lots of screens for all your favorite sports. The staff keeps the lounges clean with friendly service. At the back, there's a walk-in humidor that's well-stocked with a great selection, including Davidoff, Padron, Opus X, Fuentes, My Father, Foundation, and Placencia, just to name a few. The Winston House stick blended by Placencia is an incredible stick for an exceptional price! Both lounges have a bunch of friendly regulars, so it's always easy to find conversation, or you can just relax and enjoy the moment! This place is a hidden gem that I consider to be the best cigar lounge in SoCal!

The place is clean, fresh feeling, cool brick aesthetic, and it has spacious booths. The restrooms are also clean, big, and one has a baby changing table. Drinks - there are 3 mocktails to choose from. The one that was most refreshing had boba in it. It was hard to get the boba though as the straw provided was too thin for boba. Food - I ordered the salmon Benedict. I found the side it came with kind of odd: cauliflower, carrots, zucchini, and potatoes. I would have been content with only potatoes. The veggies are a mindful addition but it's not a brunch item for me. Still... I ate them. They were cooked perfectly. The star of the plate: the salmon Benedict. Sauce, egg, and salmon all paired together made for a delicious bite each time. The bread these items sat on... I wasn't a huge fan of it. It brought the flavor down. To wrap up the meal, our server added sparkle to our experience with a kind gesture of a birthday treat. Their ice cream dessert is something I'd order and pay for because it was that good. It had caramel and some type of crumble that pulled it all together nicely. The dessert and service were good enough for me to want to go back and try something else.
