We had a wonderful dining experience at Sol Agave today. This place is so so good. Carima, the lovely hostess sat us at a nice table in the outdoor patio area. Bruno was our amazing server assisted by Milton and Eliezer. All three of them were stellar in the customer service, professionalism and kindness. We started with margaritas which were so good and yes, the chips, salsa and bean dip were delicious as well. My wife ordered the Chili Colorado and I have the premium steak fajitas. The food is amazing. The manager Benjamin stopped by and introduced himself and wanted to check on customer satisfaction as well. Amazing service here at Sol Agave. Came with a very big lunch party, so 20 of us. Just one waiter. This is my first time here, so very impressed with the non traditional decor, it was very modern and it's quite large inside. We all ordered drinks and food same time. Drinks came first! The food took 40 minutes, so thinking it had to be good! And it was! Very fresh and clean tasting. Chips are served with salsa and refried beans super delicious! The only thing I didn't like was that the ceilings are high and not sound protected so it's very noisy and echoes. We found Sol Agave on Yelp and decided to visit on a Saturday night. It was absolutely worth the trip! The restaurant is very spacious and beautifully decorated. We arrived around 7:00 p.m. and were seated on the patio right away without any wait. The food was amazing! The Our Famous Carnitas ($29) was absolutely delicious, served with tender braised pork, rice, beans, guacamole, salsa cruda, and tortillas. It's now my favorite dish at the restaurant! The braised pork was cooked perfectly, flavorful, juicy, and incredibly tender. We also ordered the Tacos De Hongo ($39), which were excellent as well. The prime outside skirt steak was perfectly cooked and paired wonderfully with the portobello mushrooms and grilled onions. Thanks to our server for recommending these two dishes, I might have ordered something completely different otherwise! For dessert, we had the Butter Cake ($16), and it was outstanding. So far, it's the best butter cake I've ever had. The service was excellent! Our server was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations truly made our dining experience even better. The prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food and service. Sol Agave was an amazing experience. When you enter, the ambiance is intimate and rich with detail throughout. My girlfriend and I were seated and received our chips and salsa promptly. As the evening went on, I was pleased with my delicious Blackberry Margarita. It was well made and didn't leave me feeling like it was too weak, like many other restaurants. Finally, my steak enchiladas with mole sauce was out of this world. It was still piping hot, the cheese pull was mouthwatering, and the jumbo shrimp and rice on the side were delectable additions. The attire we came in was smart casual. And I think this spot would be a great date spot. It's good for groups too. We had 6 in our group. They do have happy hour everyday and if I recall, it's from 3-6? Sorry bad memory. But really the food we ordered and shared was super satisfying! Soy Agave is a great spot for a special occasion. The food is consistently good, the atmosphere is beautiful, and it's definitely more of a destination restaurant than an everyday dinner spot. My only issue came during my most recent visit. I completely understand that gratuity is automatically included once you reach a certain party size, and I have no problem with that. However, our group consisted mostly of kids, and one of the adults wanted to order a kids meal because they weren't very hungry. The request was denied by our server. As someone who manages a restaurant myself, I understand the reasoning behind the policy. That said, I also believe there are situations where a little flexibility can go a long way in creating a great guest experience. It wasn't a huge issue, but it did leave us feeling like the restaurant was prioritizing policy over hospitality. Overall, the food and ambiance were excellent, and I'd still recommend Soy Agave for a nice night out. I just hope there can be a little more discretion in situations like this moving forward. read more

I decided to give this restaurant another try and am so glad I did. Not only was the food delicious (Mar y Tierra, Shrimp Taquitos, and FREE chips, beans, and salsa) but the service was stellar. I took my childhood friend here for her birthday and it was an amazing experience. Jorge (I think that was his name) was OUTSTANDING. He was friendly, kind, and patient. He was always there when we needed him. He even overheard me wishing my friend a happy birthday and came over and sang with his coworkers and brought a piece of cake. We showed up on Valentine's Day. They were slammed and we didn't see any open tables. The host of the staff did an amazing job taking us last minute and seating us within five minutes. I was pleasantly surprised because we just dropped in and out of nowhere. The food took a little while to come out, but we were complaining because we showed up on Valentines night without reservations. They were very accommodating and apologetic, really great service. I ordered the mahi-mahi tacos and I have to say I appreciate that the menu will tell you if it's gluten-free and vegetarian which is great for me so I knew exactly what I was getting. The fish was cooked so well, it was not overcooked the mango slices in there just added such a great combination of flavor. I also ordered a version, jalapeño pineapple, margarita, and that was divine My husband got the steak that came with the avocado jalapeño soup, which it's a cold soup that you have after which I think is a great palette cleanser and he loved it.
