I would highly recommend Alo Asian Kitchen. The food was really amazing. It's also very close by and not far at all, so it's easy to come back. The service was friendly and the food came out looking really good. I also really like that they have MSG FREE, which is perfect for me since I was looking for that. The garlic noodles were my favorite. They had a strong garlic flavor and tasted really good. The vermicelli rice noodles were also very good and came with egg rolls, salad, and a sweet sauce that worked really well together. The egg rolls were a nice appetizer, crispy and tasty. The man and woman working here were very welcoming and kind throughout our visit. The restaurant is small and cozy and they've got a big tv playing sports. My husband ordered the pho and I ordered lemongrass filet bún. We got the fried rice and eggrolls for our kids. We all enjoyed our food. The eggrolls were some of the best I've had! I wish I could 2.5 because the best part was the fast delivery. My daughter and I hardly order any take out but when we do we are always up for trying new restaurants. We were so excited because of the rave reviews. My daughter's love language is fried rice, I could eternally feed her beautiful face with it all day, long everyday and she'd be happy. Unfortunately, she had one bite and spit it out. My daughter is 17 so I questioned it, yup inedible. Pretty sure we got the end of the bowl for the night, the taste was lovely but the lack of anything in it and how it was one big mound of rice was an unappealing. Love at first bite!! I loved loved loved every single items I ordered via DoorDash last night. Parking was free and plenty to choose from. Order was ready upon arrival. Service was no fuss no nonsense no wait no frustration. Super friendly and efficient!! The restaurant itself inside is well lit and extremely bright. Almost too bright where I would have trouble feeling relaxed while eating. The food itself was perfect. The grilled pork spring rolls were extremely filling and super fresh. Honestly, just devouring the two rolls completely got me overstuffed. The peanut sauce was perfect too. Not too thick or too sweet. Just right. Same with the egg rolls. Extremely crunchy but very flavorful. Next time I wouldn't mind ordering the platter. The popcorn chicken was a bit too garlicky for my taste and it used white meat. Not exactly my favorite though it still had good flavors. I don't think I would get them again. The fried rice was ok. I thought it was hot and fresh but probably won't be reordering. It was great visiting this place for the first time. I ordered the house special crispy noodle because I wanted to compare it to the Chinese dish, house special chow mein. Everything was freshly made, and it didn't feel super heavy to eat which I liked. The choice of meat tasted good, I just think I personally prefer to eat it with thin slices of beef instead with more sauce. The peach lemonade tea was really good. It was very refreshing. The employees were super nice and friendly. They'll help you get anything you need. I went in the afternoon so it was quieter to enjoy my food. Great food, great service, and great ambiance. Alo Asian Kitchen has been my go-to place for comfort food for years. I especially love dining there in the late afternoon, around 4-5pm, when the ambiance possesses a calm, sun-warmed ease, and unpressed by time. Their Pho and Grilled Pork Rice are my favorite dishes. I have seen many other delicious dishes being served, but I cannot bring myself to order anything else. The Grilled Pork would have been fantastic had it come with broken rice, but even as it is, the flavorful, juicy, and tender pork is more than enough to satisfy. I've moved far away and can no longer visit them twice a month, but I'll definitely seize any opportunity to taste that Grilled Pork again! This is a hidden gem. When you walk in, it looks like a little dessert and gelato cafe, but then they hand you a menu filled with delicious Asian and Vietnamese appetizers and entrees. We started with some crunchy garlic popcorn chicken and some crunchy garlic French fries. Both were terrific. The fries were crisp and hot. The chicken was bursting with garlic flavor. I was coming off of a procedure and wanted some soup so we drove over to Alo for some pho for me and garlic noodles for him. He actually ordered the Garlic noodles with Filet mignon. I had the rare filet pho. They have a 5% off Yelp check-in deal at the moment so we utilized that as well. There was no one in there when we arrived around noon on a Monday but two other customers showed up while we were eating. The service was okay. The food was good. The pho broth was nice and savory. The beef was tender. My husband devoured his meal. I had a couple of bites before he inhaled it. It was also good. My only complaint is they give you just one napkin per person, which they bring to you when you order. There are no napkin dispensers on the tables and no utensil containers like you would see in other Asian restaurants. It was nice to try and note that there are other options for pho in South County. Great vermicelli here! Delicious pork! It's hard to find food that is less than $20 for dining in, but this place, you can get some food delicious Vermicelli for less than $20 (even if you dine in). Amazing! The dish came with a lot of toppings, meat, and noodles, so portion size was great! The place serves desserts, like ice cream and macaroons as well. There is an industrial sized fan in the middle back of the indoor dining area which when turned on, can get very windy. We actually moved seats to avoid its draft. The table after us asked them to turn it off because it was uncomfortable. They sell boba, ceramic decorations, gelato, coffee, tea, smoothies, milkshakes and food. For food, they have pho, vermicelli, rice, sandwiches, etc. We opted for the beef stew with bread ($18.95) and chicken vermicelli with an egg roll. The chicken came as a patty so you need to cut up the chicken yourself. There was not enough nuoc mam ratio to the vermicelli so it was a bit dry. The beef stew was good, a bit too salty.
