I passed by it a few times on my way to and from other places, unsure about whether it was genuinely its own standalone restaurant or one of those glorified grab-and-go spots inside of a convenience store. Eventually, one day, it popped up on DoorDash and I perused the menu, placed an order, and went to pick it up. I'm happy I took a chance on Ay Chihuahua, because it's a gem. Friendly service, a cute interior, ridiculously good prices (you can get a full breakfast for under $12!) and solid food that doesn't skimp on the spice come together to create a worthwhile addition to this underrated corner of suburban Chicago.
