Steak margarita & fajitas
Rico M.

I ordered the beef and shrimp plate, beef was blend, shrimp well seasoned. My family shared the fajitas, chips were fresh and salsa had no spiciness, not even mild. The queso with chorizo deep was delicious. For drink I had the Horchata. Second time we eat there when I visit family.

The decor of the tables was amazing, we had kittens on our table, but they were all super cool. I loved it. The service was pretty good, just a bit slow, but not overly so. The margaritas were good. The cheese dip said it had jalapeños in it, but it wasn't spicy--still really good though. The salsa was yummy as well; I loved that it was chunky. My sister got the beef nachos and really enjoyed them, especially because there was a lot of cheese. I got the vegetarian fajitas, and they were super flavorful. I loved that they gave four tortillas along with plenty of rice and beans. We will definitely go back when visiting that area.

After an awful 3 Hour drive from the east coast of Florida, having a tequila drink definitely improved my mood. Met up with some friends and this was where the meet up ended up. We sat at the bar and since it was in the middle of the day in the middle of the week, we ordered off the lunch menu. I ordered the taco salad with steak and shrimp. This was my first meal of the day and I definitely needed to overload on protein. Unfortunately, I should've ordered the dinner version of this because the lunch version was so small. I was still hungry and started eating the taco bowl. My drink of choice was tequila and soda with added jalapeños. I like a little kick with my drink, and he definitely made us a beautiful drink with bits and pieces of the jalapeño consuming the glass. That's the way my drink should always look. The service was pretty slow considering we're sitting at the bar. It could be my frustration of that god-awful drive or the fact that I had nothing to eat yet, but I definitely thought the service was slow. Overall, this is your typical decorative Mexican restaurants with their typical food options. Would I go back, absolutely. How do you say no to tacos and tequila? You don't because that would just be insane.

We were on the road, and wanted Mexican so we googled this place and it had good reviews. We started off with margaritas and they brought chips and salsa - was complimentary, because we were ordering food. We also ordered the queso dip - was delicious and table side guacamole. Our server was so nice, very sweet, with a great smile. All of our food came out very quickly and was delicious. My husband got the grilled chicken burrito lunch special- and cleaned his plate! The restaurant was clean and very open... all of the chairs were wood- carved with brightly painted Mexican images... it was a fun, bright atmosphere.

Popular Tex-Mex Restaurant offering a great atmosphere and responsive service that ultimately fails to serve great food. Chimichangas, aka fried burritos, is a celebration of opposing textures and flavors and unfortunately they fall short here. My chimichanga wasn't crispy next to rice that wasn't fresh. However, I recommend the jalapeño cheese sauce on the side as it gives the dish almost passable contrasting flavor. Taquitos were bland, hard, and somehow still not crispy. Perhaps they were over-prepared before cooking. And, there wasn't enough meat even on the overly small serving size. All wasn't bad as the salsa was fresh and the chips were ok. Unfortunately we didn't leave well enough alone.

Stopped at Las Margaritas while passing through Ocala we only had tacos, and they were simple, authentic, and packed with flavor. Loved the warm atmosphere and colorful decorations it felt festive and welcoming music is on point. Friendly, efficient staff made it an easy, satisfying stop. Highly recommend if you're driving through and want great Mexican tacos or anything in their menu.

So I went to this establishment for what was advertised as an Oyster festival. Needless to say…read morewhen I arrived at 6pm I was told the festival sold out at 2pm that day even though the event was advertised as being from 11-9pm. so I decided to sit at the bar and have a drink. First I was in line behind someone being help at the register on the other end of the bar. The waitress helped the gentleman and then left the register as if she was handling some other things behind the bar, never returning to take my order, even passing by me several times. Taking orders around the bar. Then A young couple walked up behind me and were helped by the gentleman behind the bar, I assumed he had been helping them before because they were discussing how much alcohol was in a particular beer and weather or not the underage young women could legal drink it based on the alcohol , Now I'm still standing there, yet no one asked to take my order or if I needed anything! Two people finish eating and left so I took one of the seats at the end of the bar beside where I was standing . I watched while the lady lady bartender finished her shift and left and another bartender took her place, upon staring her shift she went straight to help the large group of gentleman at the bar with drinks, so I told myself maybe they have been waiting just as long as I have , yet when she finished with their drinks she walked right past me sitting there with a menu in hand! The final straw was seeing the gentleman with the beard come and take orders from two groups of people standing right beside me , where I previously was and he never attempted to take my order! I won't even mention me looking up and catching a a gentleman staring at me, like literally hard staring at me!! I don't like to make assumptions however I can only assume I was not a welcome sight in this establishment due to me being a black woman!!! I'm in Ocala for a travel assignment and I can say experiencing something like I did at this place yesterday tells me all I need to know about this area! To all my brown people stay clear of this establishment I've included pictures so there is no confusion about the individuals!

I love the vibe, what a great place to meet friends and hang out. The huge hall also offers food while the brewery is the center point with the bar wrapping all the way around the tabs in the center. There's a beautiful outdoor deck with a view of a lake. The only drawback for me was that I love to enjoy my tasty craft beer, and it was hard to dodge the cigarette smoke. Even though the patio is huge, it is covered so the smoke gets trapped. One smoker polluted the entire patio. It was a beautiful day, but we had to go inside. As a non-smoker I do wish the patio was smoke-free.

We heard about the Flying Boat Tap Room from a neighbor who recommended it for their pizzas. Not…read morereally conveniently located from us, we decided to head out here after stopping by a nursery in the same general area. It was a late lunch so the place wasn't all that busy...perhaps a total of 5 diners including us. We sat down and waited a minute or so before a server came by with menus and to take our drink orders. My wife asked her if they served Coke Zero. They don't, so my wife just ordered water with a lemon wedge and I ordered the same. The menu is quite varied, especially for "bar food" with various pizza options. After carefully reading the menu, my wife ordered the White Pi (roasted garlic ricotta, mozzarella, feta, and rosemary/garlic butter drizzle) and I ordered Ol Betsy (house carne asada, avocado, crispy onions, white rice drizzled with chimichurri sauce). My wife's pizza was served before my dish and I had to wait a minute or two before mine was served. I think well managed kitchens should be able to get dishes out at the same time. My wife liked her pizza. She liked the wood-fired char around the edges and the appropriate chew of the crust. She also liked the garlicky flavor and the fresh feta. My dish was quite good! The carne asada was so tender and the crispy onions with the slightly vinegary chimichurri sauce was an inspired combo...adding the creamy avocado further elevated the dish. Lunch for two came out to just under $38 with tip. We'll be back!

Was just finishing up a stroll through the large local Market of Marion and wanted a place to sit…read moreand enjoy a beverage and a meal with friends and family. We found this spot when I searched for Shrimp Po Boy lunch and it looked very interesting. We drove over which was only about 8 minutes away from the market so very convenient to the market. Lots of parking so it was pretty easy to find a spot despite it being very busy. 28 beers on tap! So you can definitely find something you will enjoy if you're a fan of beer. The menu is large with lots of options and reminds me of a higher class of bar food. We started with a larger soft fresh baked pretzel that was plenty to share with our group of 3, it came with a really good beer cheese and some honey mustard dipping sauce. Really liked the pretzel and the dipping sauces found myself eating and dipping as I sipped on my chocolate coffee stout in a fun 10oz glass that made it very refreshing. We ordered our entrees as the music started back up and while the music was good it was so loud we could no longer have a conversation at our table without shouting so it would have been great if the volume was a bit lower since this was Sunday lunch not Friday night beers. The food arrived in stages as it is served as it became ready from the kitchen. First out was the blackened fish tacos my mom ordered. She said they were good but not spectacular, she ate just the fish out of one and took the rest home. Next out was our friend's bang bang shrimp and they looked amazing. The presentation was very nice and he offered one of them for me to try. Very crunchy batter and delicious sauce however it overwhelmed the shrimp and you could not taste them, which depending on how much you like shrimp could be a good thing or not. Next out was my shrimp po boy and why it looked good the ratio of shrimp to bread was way off. 3 maybe four whole shrimp to a huge bun. The shrimp were the same style as the bang bang shrimp just a different sauce. While the sandwich was good I basically took a few bites to get the whole experience and then just ate the few small bits of shrimp and left the bun. Maybe if I had not eaten the pretzel I would have liked all the bread as it did taste good but definitely not enough shrimp for its size. The chickpea salad was definitely the star of the entree as it had so much flavor and was amazing. Service was great and they were very attentive and offered samples of the beers if we wanted to try them. Highly recommended for beers and snacks but not sure I would recommend the seafood. I would like to go back and try the pizza and a few more beers!

It was pretty busy during that time and you can tell this is a popular spot among locals in the area. They have both indoor and outdoor patio seating, but we opted for inside since it was such a hot day and our son was with us. We ordered some yuca for my son to nibble on and we started off with some of their signature cocktails. My husband got their Origen classic Peruvian sour and I went with the Tropical Passion which is a passion fruit version of the classic. Both drinks were beautiful. I love the frothiness this cocktail gets from the egg white and it was very refreshing. I was craving ceviche and I was happy to see that they have a whole ceviche bar menu with different selections to choose from. They all sounded amazing, but I decided to go with the servers recommendation and got the mixed Aji Amarillo Ceviche which contains fish, shrimp, octopus, and calamari in aji amarillo tiger milk, with onion, cilantro, sweet potato and peruvian corn. It was a huge serving and more than enough for me to eat as my meal (since I was not planning on sharing, haha). The tiger milk was perfection which is one the main things I love about Peruvian ceviche. All the seafood was tender and fresh - even the calamari rings which I am particular about. My husband got their signature Fettuccine Huancaina which is lomo saltado (steak) served over fettuccine with huancaina sauce and pecorino cheese. It was delicious and he loved every bite. Sadly, we were too stuffed for dessert but those also sounded amazing. Next time! The staff was so friendly and accommodating -- we'll definitely be back.

It has this beautiful bohemian, modern ambiance that you don't usually see in Spanish restaurants, which tend to lean more traditional. This felt fresh, stylish, and still super authentic. On top of that, everything else checked out; easy parking, clean private bathrooms, and amazing service that tied the whole experience together. Highly, highly recommend.
