I love this market. Delicious food and dining area. They have an area that sells drinks, desserts and smoothies. They have a well stocked carnicería and bakery. A lot of different grocery items but today I want to compliment the panadería. They have fresh delicious Mexican bread throughout the day. The bread is soft, little sweet and very good. The best thing is it is very affordable and not high priced like some panaderías. I usually go all the way to Union City but stopped because it seems post covid they have ridiculously raised their prices. The bread I got at Monańas today would cost me close to 30.00 for the same amount. Montańas bread is a better quality.

With the Hubby for brunch. I got the Carne Guisada Salvadoreana plate.

Near from our home and the spot is soo yummy! Clean and is also a market! You cant complain on how convenient this place is. They have a dessert/snack bar too. The place is spacious. You can smell the delicious food throughout the store. Great marketing without trying hard. LoL

Los Montanas is a Mexican superstore with various stations for hot foods, juice station, bakery, produce, meat, and tortilla station...with a jewelry kiosk up front. Ordered from their hot food section offering burritos, tacos, plates, grilled chicken and fried whole basa. Food ordered: :: Soft tacos - fish, steak and shrimp. All were ok with fish being my least favorite and it's was breaded with panko and fried. Topped with shredded iceberg lettuce and thousand island-like sauce and diced tomatoes. Meh :: Chile verde plate - dish of pork, tomatillo and jalapeños with rice, beans and tortilla - friend said this was good and flavorful :: Pina Aqua Fresca - fresh and not overly sweet from sugar :: Guacamole and Chips - guacamole was yummy and not too acidic. Chips are thick and not my fave. Overall, food items 3 stars. - Salsa extra charge. Seating available for dine-in. Plenty of Mexican stores in the area so not rushing back. Service basic and almost impatient. Not the friendliest checker (Maria) and will speak solely in Spanish. I'm not fluent but can understand and speak to order and respond. Thank goodness for 4 years of classes in high school! Store clean and organized so extra star! I would return to get grocery items, meats, juice and prepared guac and skip the hot foods section. Plenty of lot parking

I got a milkshake it was tasty. Love that it's brand new live down the street will be coming back very clean staff is friendly and professional. Tamels are a plus l. Jus how it should be.

This is one of the best merchandised Hispanic Markets that I have ever been to. This market reminds me of the grocer that I would go to with my grandmother. It was called Petrini's in the Central Corridor of SF. However, I was able to choose a clown cupcake every time we went (every day). This bakery reminded me of just that. I am kind of cheating on Berkeley Bowl because I went to the meat counter at this market and made a bomb as cheesesteak. I am hooked.

Las montañas sold a fruit cake with mildew to a family member. She is an old lady and did not inspect it closely as no one should! You expect food that is being sold to be in good condition and to be edible. Pretty upsetting because this is a 30$ pastry for that price it is very disappointing that it wasn't taken off the shelf and sold in that condition. You can see the strawberry with mildew. There was no way we were gonna eat even part of it. You can see that the peaches are going bad too because some changed in color. Once again someone elderly going to buy food they wouldn't noticed. At another time my aunt bought tamales and they were uncooked. Be careful buying food from here!

This is a decent Mexican grocery store/market. Meets all of your basic needs if you are shopping for mexican related items. If you need a broader array of options this store is not for you. Store is clean and well organized They sell ready made food, tacos, arroz, frijoles, pollo, caldos ect and they have a little food court to sit down and eat your food as well. Parking is easy to find I noticed some items here are priced higher in comparison to other stores

I can't wait for this to be up and running.

This is a fully stocked Mexican market with fresh meats and vegetables. They make their own tortillas on site as well as tostadas and potato chips. There is a separate section for just fresh made and purchase cheeses, sour cream, and salsa. This store overall is very well stocked, clean, and the staff is friendly. It gives the feel of commonly found markets in southern California, where there is a cafeteria style Taqueria along with various other options for ready-made and made to order foods. There is a section where you can get smoothies, fresh made juices and other Mexican snacks. Last time I was there they are making fresh pupusa's on site in a griddle that you can see in front of the registers at the taqueria. The prices are competitive with other major chains and local markets. I hope we see more of these stores throughout this side of the East Bay as it originates from Concord.

I came here Saturday midday and I was so amazed by everything that I came back today, Monday! Las Montañas is a popular chain in the northern part of the east bay and I'm glad they're expanding. Everything is way better priced than other Mercados/carnicerías in the área. When you walk in, to the left, there is a little section of premade biónicos, yogurts, fresas con crema, salsa , crema, etc. In this area you will see premade foods and somewhat of a restaurant style menu. They have everything from pupusas, quesibirrias, flautas, etc. they also have family meal deals like 2lbs of carnitas with rice and beans, tortillas, and salsa for $45 or grilled chicken etc. What we tried: Carnitas - 9/10 needed a little salt but still good for a grocery store. Sopes - 9/10 these are HUGE. They really packed on the meat, cheese, beans and lettuce on them. Still not much salt. Burrito de al pastor - we got it super and it was very good. To the right of the restaurant is seating and an Ice cream parlor! They sell milkshakes, ice cream, biónicos, elotes, tostilocos and everything a Mexican ice cream store has. In the middle sections you will find isles of grocery's and fresh fruit/veggies. Everything was very clean and organized. The have a carnicería that is separate from they're dairy which I loved because you avoid a packed butcher section. Once you whip around the corner from all the grocery finds, there is a nice tortillería and bakery. The bakery is really nice. They had all sorts of bread from different LATAM countries. They also had premade cakes and other goodies for sale. Checkout was pretty fast on both days as there were enough cashiers. Upon exit to the right, there is going to be a grilled/BBQ chicken joint that hasn't opened but I'm assuming it will be part of the grocery chain. All in all this might just be my go-to market now!

Stopped by on a Monday evening after dinner. The store wasn't too busy this day and we remembered to take our grocery bags. Upon entering, the store was clean and well stocked. The entrance takes you through the produce sections. The veggies were standard veggies like bok choy, cabbages, root veggies etc. There were some things I was looking for that didn't have labels, just "general produce." No biggie, I know how to use my phone to scan images. The produce section also has a freezer section with frozen dumplings, buns, and other stuff. The selection was amazing. The meat department had plenty of options from poultry to beef to seafood. They also had frozen meat and poultry in ice chests. I did come for loose leaf teas and found just what I needed. Everything is really great quality and they have different jujube options. I also loved their frozen ice cream and sweets. We got the viral ice creams to try and they also had tanghulu but only the hawthorn ones. We get to the register and the cashiers were really nice. Overall the experience is great!

The variety is impressive--they offer a huge selection of fresh Asian produce along with a wide range of authentic products you don't always find elsewhere. I was absolutely blown away from the different variety of tofu they carry, and also so many different noodles. For me it's a trip (since I live in the bay area), but absolutely worth it!

So I decide to stop in and find out if it's good enough to share with my friends on Yelp. Let me tell you something, you must visit it and buy yourself some Afghani treats ok! I took a bunch of pictures so hopefully they will help you. The place opened 2 weeks ago. It has a great selection of teas, sweet treats, and dry fruits - as we from India like to say( almonds, apricots, raisins and pistachios, etc). They have fresh afghan bread, they have a meat section ! And did I mention the sweet treats! I bought a Sesame paste dessert with rose petals (Tahin Halva) and oh my, what a time to be alive! Haven't had a sesame paste halva in decades! Easy accessibility from Mission Blvd and lots of parking. Go check out this place and elevate your life with some products from the east.
