I was having lunch with about10 other ladies yesterday. There were reservations made for our group, however, there was only one server available. She did her best and she was very kind and gracious. However, there should've been extra help. I ordered a bloody Maria, and the server didn't know what that was. We told her it was a bloody Mary, but with tequila instead of vodka. She came back a little bit later and told me that they couldn't make the drink because they didn't have any bloody Mary mix. I turned around and it looked like there was two jugs of on the counter, but she said no they were out. So I chose a raspberry margarita. There was hardly any peach flavor in the drink, but the lady next to me took it back for me and got more raspberry syrup. My sister-in-law and I shared a plate of fajitas Texanas. We asked for an extra plate, but we had to ask twice. Again, though I don't blame the server because she was very, very busy. I did find the fajitas greasy. The bacon wrapped shrimp was delicious as was the beef and chicken in the fajita combo dish. The restaurant itself was decorated really nicely with beautiful cart and painted chairs in the Mexican style. All in all, it was a fun lunch with a bunch of ladies. read more

Incredibly well crafted dishes with authentic flavors. The interior is ornate with hand painted chairs and tables. Try to find two identical chairs, haven't found them yet. Solid and tasty Mexican typical for Colorado. This restaurant compares to Fiesta Jalisco as far as the taste and quality of the food. Jalisco's salsa is better. The salsa here was runny but flavorful. The Carne Asada was very flavorful though chewy. They did it right by giving me a grilled jalapeño instead of two grilled scallions. The tortillas tasted ok but were not homemade. The chicken in the Palmitas burrito in had a unique flavor to it but both the chicken and the green sauce were on the runny side. One thing very notable was the rice. The rice was very well flavored and not gooey. I very rarely eat Spanish rice but theirs was an exception. The beans were standard. It was solid. Good but not drop dead fantastic. Maybe 3 1/2 stars, but I'd round up, instead of down. The service was very friendly. Hands-down Guadalajara is still the best Mexican food in the Springs. read more

This is a mixed experience. When I was eating keto, I git their fajita bowl and it was so good. Maybe the best carne asada I've had in Colorado. The spicy green salsa they give with chips is absolutely amazeballs. This most recent experience. Blah!! Salsa still excellent. Ordered a grande burrito (supposed to have steak. paid the extra $3 to make it wet (Chile sauce). It didn't have any but that was an honest mistake, no stars docked. The burrito was gross!! I love eating at this place. It's my favorite Mexican spot in the springs. Their chips and queso is so good. I love their avocado crema sauce that comes with the chips. There honestly hasn't been a time I've been here that I've been disappointed. We come about twice a month and try something new almost every time. We were in the neighborhood since I stopped at Eyeglass World. My other half noticed this place when we were going to turn back to eat somewhere else. I haven't had Mexican since we left Phoenix so why not? I ordered 2 cheese enchiladas with rice and black beans. We were served chips and salsa . The salsa is chunky but mild. The food: I wanted to like it and I was hungry. The enchiladas were bland. The sauce was more tomato sauce,no heat at all,no spice. The rice was bland but I did taste cumin, a plus, but still not great. The black beans, I thought would be safe since refried tend to have meat or fat in them. These had bacon fat(?) ,definitely not vegetarian. My guy was able to the rice, he's still suffering from his teeth being pulled,so he was happy. Even he remarked not the best , but he's been dying for Mexican food for months and now he knows he can eat rice I think I have to agree, if you're Gringo, this place is ok. Just not my cup of tea. I have been wanting to try this place for quite sometime. We went in the early evening, and when we drove up, we were a bit discourage because the place was pretty empty. I ordered a ceviche appetizer and a combo fajita plate and my wife got an enchillada plate. I must say, this place was one of the better mexican spots in the city. The chips and salsa was a average, but the fajitas and ceviche were very good. The thing that put them over the top was the quality of hand made corn tortillas. Pretty impressed with this place. Fast service, and good food. The atmosphere was very laid back, there are TVs here which is a bonus if you like sports. We love coming here whenever we visit Colorado Springs! To start, the home made chips and choice of 2 salsas is amazing!!!! Your order comes pretty quick. Bait and switch. Does not take their own coupons. Total scam. Food took so long to come out. Horrible customer service. I would give negative stars if I could. I like to support mom and pop places. I got the 7 seas soup which was good but my wife got this dish served in Mexican grinding bowl with shrimp, chicken & steak with a salsa verde/cheese sauce inside. Really really good. My daughter got the fried whole Tilapia which she really liked. The one item that put it over the top was the fresh homemade corn tortillas. I even got a dozen to take home. I tasted the steak in my wife's dish checking to see if it was some tough cheap meat that many Mexican restaurants use. This was very tender & tasted great. So I've tried this place out twice. They have a good Groupon to entice you to come in. The location is off of north carefree in a strip mall. It is a stand alone building. The food is not bad. I've tried a couple of meals and you get quality every time. The house margarita is awesome. Good price and I think I will just get a pitcher next time. On Tuesdays they have a taco night with great deals. I have yet to try that out but I will. The only problems I have is the wait staff. It feels like that only have one waitress working the whole building. Which they are fast but it can take a bit for you to see them for your order or to update drinks. We have come to this location 3 times trying to eat menudo and each time they e been out! Maybe we should try to come a little earlier, but we stayed and ate. Both my husband and I had dishes the cake with rice and beans on the side. The rice was hard, not fully cooked and the beans were "sour" or "tart" to taste. My daughter and I had lunch here after church on Sunday. We decided to give this place a try since we had a coupon: buy one lunch, get one free. It was 12:15 in the afternoon and we were looking forward to having lunch together. I brought the coupon to our waitress's attention, because, you know. . . some restaurants want to use coupons to lure you in to their restaurant, but they don't actually want to give you the advertised discount. I wanted my waitress to know, prior to ordering, that we had a coupon we'd like to use. But when I showed her my coupon, she just pushed it back toward me and told me to just hang on to it until it was time to pay. We were there at 12:15 for lunch. My daughter and I each ordered a burrito for lunch and she had a coke and I had a margarita. Ha! Sure enough, this turned out to be "one of those places." When it was time to pay, a different girl told me, "I'm sorry: this coupon is for "lunch" and you ordered "dinners." I'm confused. I looked at the menu and didn't see any distinction between "lunch" and "dinner" burritos. But I guess we didn't order the right burritos for the lunch coupon. Even though it was 12:15 in the afternoon. And 1:30 before we finally got out of there! . . . because the service was LOUSY. The food was mediocre: a lot of rice and beans, you know. Not much else. The margarita was good though. Even though it was served in a glass with a big chip out of it at the bottom. Clean atmosphere was the best part of visiting here, unfortunately when you expect to have clean drinking glasses forget it. I do prefer my red lipstick on a woman not the glass I am drinking from..... Onto the food.... I tried to ask what's good on the menu from the server and got a response stating if your white it will be good. So after ordering a somewhat safe order of a steak chimichanga I decided I really didn't care to pay as much as I did for Kraft Velveeta with some pepper chopped up in it with instant cooked rice and very watered down and bland refried beans. I think I have had better food from Taco Bell and that's terrible to say. Other food tried was tortilla soup, well it's a soup a little salty and much different than any tortilla soup I have ever seen, it also had a flavor that I couldn't identify and that kinda disturbs me. The steak bowl was also another tasting, don't worry if you like instant rice you will get plenty of that....mush....poorly executed with little flavor. So later in the meal we asked our server thinking what would he pick. When you get a response of well...... You really think man not even the help will really appreciate the good something is wrong. I won't be returning to risk drinking/eating from dirty dishes and won't pay for cheap food that is put together poorly. Was hopeful for a New Mexican place that may meet my standard, the hunt will continue but I can't recommend this place. Find better food else where. read more
