This place is small, and the vibe is very casual, but don't let that fool you since people really turn up here during the happy hour. We came in on a Friday for the happy hour, and it was a lot of fun. They have good drink specials for the happy hour and the food was great. I ordered the cecina quesadilla, and it was very yummy and filling. The rest of the group ordered main dishes, and everyone seemed to enjoy their food. The service was awesome! Our server was friendly and attentive, and they brought us shots since we were celebrating 2 birthdays. I would recommend it if you're looking for a fun casual Mexican spot.

We are becoming regulars as their food is always fresh and delicious. I enjoy my brunch steak and omelette, and cannot have enough of the tricolor pasta, which is new on their menu. What we love about this place is their staff - so friendly with a warm smile, and make it special in this neighborhood.

A local Mexican restaurant in Harlem and one to visit if you are around!! The prices , the service , and the FOOD!! Amazing! The bistec a la mexicana was my favorite dish , full of flavor , tender meat and a yellow rice cooked to perfection. The torta was a staple and also a must try. The mole was good as well but if there's anything you should try is the bistec a la mexicana! Definitely will be back !

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What a wonderful, welcoming, cosy and comfortable, happy Mexican hideaway in Spanish Harlem![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Flavorful food with a flair, fresh ingredients and generous portions, delicious margaritas, [[HIGHLIGHT]]pleasant conversational yet festive ambience and truly kind, heart-centered service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And yes, that's the only way I can truly describe it. Every server I've had and including/especially the hardworking sweet manager himself (who never seems to have a day off!) are truly wonderfully genuine people and amazing servers who treat each patron like a house guest and are just SO darn nice. Complete GEMS. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Visiting here is such a relief after a long work day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And they offer amazing happy hour specials daily. Relax, enjoy, rejuvenate, feast and tip these beautiful souls well!

Local spot in the neighborhood and had happy hour on a Sunday. The drinks were tasty and strong and we only had two each. The service was attentive and made sure we were okay, as we outside. The inside seems quiet with a and and tv screens with sports on. We would definitely consider trying food the next time we walk by

Great lunch spot. Honestly there are lots of times I'm looking to find a local spot over a chain. The chain is great but smaller mom and pops offer something a little different. This place is a great alternative to a chain Mexican place. I will say the seasoning on the chicken which yes can be messed up was on point here I appreciate that. I the portion was perfect for lunch and I requested no sour cream and I got exactly what I asked for which I also appreciate. Definitely ordering here again!

Excerpts service, the waiter was so kind and helpful! He knew the menu like the back of his hand and was patient with me. The burrito bowl was so delicious, I couldn't wait long enough to take a picture. It was the perfect size as I finished it in one sitting. Everything comes separated and you can mix it up how you like. My boyfriend ate the nachos and he said they were alright. He waited to eat them later on.

Complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa is flavorful and definitely spicy.

This restaurant is a must if you are in Harlem. We ended up here after our usual spots insisted on outdoor dining on a very cold day. In retrospect, I'm very glad this happened. Panteras Negras is amazing. The server was accommodating and informative. The food is delicious and authentic. Chips and salsa- one of the best salsas I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. Enchiladas con salsa verde- As a vegetarian, I inquired about veggies- they added peppers and tomatoes. For the cheese, you have a choice between oaxaca and queso fresco. Oaxaca is the superior version of mozzarella, thus my choice. The green sauce is very spicy, however tasty. Rice and beans- Yellow rice is tasty, not salty. Beans were fresh and enjoyable. Horchata - At last, an horchata not relying on sugar. Hearty and great to combat the spicy sauces. Tres Leches- I thought I didn't have space for dessert, Panteras proved me wrong. Thick cake with its own flavor, enhanced with the milks around it. Needless to say, I'll be back. Thank you so much Panteras Negras !!!

Think vintage wallpaper, little knick-knacks, and warm lighting. It's got character. It was a hearty portion - super fresh and flavorful, and honestly more than I could finish (not a complaint!). I also ordered a Diet Pepsi with grenadine; they don't carry Diet Coke, which I almost docked a point for, but the mix was unexpectedly delicious. Highly recommend it. My date ordered the hanger steak and said it was absolutely amazing. Only hiccup: his first glass of wine he got came out hot... like, microwave-level warm. Fortunately, the server brought a new (cold) one and the rest of the meal was smooth sailing. Service was friendly, the vibe was homey and relaxed, and the food was solid across the board. Would definitely come back, especially for that salad and another round of grenadine magic.

It's $25 for unlimited drinks plus food by the way. Which is sad is a deal these days. Anyway, their happy hour is solid enough for a Monday and was meeting up with a friend I hadn't seen in over a year. Place is actually very cute. There are no tvs which I appreciate and the paneling of the walls and decor with all the flowers is quite tasteful. Happy hour deals 4-7pm Mon-Fri & all night Thursday apparently: Aperol Spritz $8, Hugo Spritz $9, Paloma $10, Mules $9, Draft Beers (except Guinness) $7, House Wine $9. As well as 2 Appetizer Bites for $19.95. Not the best but not the worst. I'm normally not a Spritz kind of gal. I think watering down prosecco or wine is heinous. But it was a Monday and I didn't exactly feel like powering down into happy hour so Aperol Spritz it was which switched to a Modelo later. It was the perfect drink situation on a god awful hot as hell day. We also ordered the fish tacos and what initially were the curry fries but they brought out the Greek fries. I wasn't mad about it. Honestly was torn between the two and I don't send food back unless something really bad happened. But it was essentially a side of Caesar salad dressing with feta cheese and generous amount of herbs on a very sparse and frugal amount of crispy standard cut fries. Now I know why it's a 2 for $20 deal. The tacos were 3 in an order which I guess is typical. They weren't bad but nothing stood out to me. I'd come for the drinks or try something else on the menu.
