Bien amables! I went to check out their great happy hour deal and the service was amazing. They were quick to resolve. I will definitely go back. Also, their passion fruit syrup is not too sweet, not too sour.

From the moment I walked the service was great. The entire staff was pleasant and friendly. Very welcoming. The ambiance and decor were beautiful and quaint. Now their food was delicious and great portions. I will definitely make this a place to come back and eat again.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood. If my partner and I decide to spontaneously go out for dinner instead of cooking we always go here. Everything on the menu is great. The octopus is my personal favorite. The service is great too. Everyone is friendly. I've seen servers assist customers with mobility issues by helping them to and from the restroom. There is a garden to sit in when the weather is nice.

Stopped in because I saw the sign for Taco Tuesday special. Here's how the experience went. I sat down and asked what are the options for the tacos. The lady pointed to the top half which included chicken, al pastor, beef, vegetarian. I asked if I could mix and and she said No. Okay, then I got a little basket of chips maybe less than 10. It wasn't bad but nothing special. I was waiting for my food for a bit and then I asked for a refill on the chips. She said no that's a side. Ok. Then my food finally came which was the al pastor. It was good but slightly charred and burned. I would have been upset if I paid full price for that which was over $15 for 3. Ooh and then the bill came and I felt shame as the lady stood there with the minimum at 18%. Long story short. They are too strict. It just wasn't a pleasant experience and I will likely not come back.

Im very happy with any restaurant that has a separate vegan and vegetarian menu page. Makes it so much easier for us to order! The vegetarian tacos are delicious, and if you come on a Tuesday it's 3 for $12! Happy hour is 4-7pm, Tuesdays through Fridays, for $4 draft, $5 beer bottles, $9 margaritas/sangrias. Excellent service, seating indoors and in the back outdoor patio.

Elote corn (street corn), guacamole and tortilla chips, shrimp tacos and chicken & mole tacos

Two Sundays ago, we placed a takeout order from this restaurant through Yelp and picked it up from the restaurant. We ordered Elote corn (street corn), guacamole which included freshly fried tortilla chips, shrimp tacos, and chicken and mole tacos. The chicken and mole tacos also had sweet plantain pieces in it which was different. The food was really good. Service - placing the order through Yelp and picking it up at the restaurant was fine. When we got to the restaurant, one of the staff asked us our order number/ name and then handed us our food. Ambiance - I briefly checked out the restaurant and it was nice. They had indoor and outdoor seating. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because I felt like the process we paid for the food through Yelp was a bit high. I wonder if it would have been different if we placed the order directly at the restaurant or dined there. However, I'm looking forward to trying their other dishes next time we are in that area. I recommend all to check out this spot if you are craving Mexican cuisine.

3.5 I stopped by for an early lunch.....ok....ok....I stopped by for an early cocktail. I arrived shortly after they opened. I originally went in for a quick mojito. After the first one I decided on a second. The mojito themselves were smooth and refreshing. At first I thought they were weak but by the end of the second one I decided it was best to order lunch cause I was feeling "nice". I went with the Birria tacos. The tacos came with a side of beans. The tacos were actually pretty good. Safe to compare to the quality of the birria trucks. The beans tasted as if they were fresh out of a Goya can. For a filling lunch a two cocktails it was pretty cheap. Before tip my lunch was $38. For that price and the clean and cozy decor you could not ask for more.

Chimichangas
Margaret L.

Came here for a weekend lunch with my husband. The ambiance and decor is super cute in here, and I really liked their outdoor setup. I ordered a pork burrito and my husband had the chimichangas- both were excellent! We each also had a margarita that was nicely balanced and not too sweet. We ordered chips and salsa and they didn't arrive until after our entrees were dropped off which was kind of strange. They also charged us for hot sauce which I also found weird. Otherwise, we had a great experience and will return.

Food barely edible. Nothing like real Mexican food. Ingredients did not seem fresh or tasty. Exorbitant prices, terrible food. Beware.

Do they have reservations?

If you want to sit outside on their patio, then yes. otherwise, maybe.... depends on what time you go and how busy... Weekends are crazy and I avoid them..... their music is so loud indoors that I can not talk with my friends. So I ONLY go when I…

Is there music? If so what type?

There was music when I was last there. They were playing top 40 pop music.

Cinco de Mayo landed on my radar when a bunch of us at work were looking for a place to grab some…read morelunch. We had our usual list of spots in Midtown East, but this time we wanted something a little different. We ultimately landed on Mexican, however even then there were several spots to chose from. One of my colleagues found CdM, and since we had nothing to lose we decided to check it out. In terms of physical space at CdM, there is very little; this is actually a walk-up spot hence it is solely a takeout restaurant. The menu is pretty straightforward - lots of Mexican staples with a good variety to choose from. The burrito bowl looked good so I decided to go with that - I was given choice of protein (I chose pastor) and types of beans (I chose black). The bowl was really good - all the ingredients tasted fresh and they were generous with the portion. They added sour cream to the top of the bowl and it came with a side of salsa verde which I thought was a nice touch. We also ordered some bags of tortilla chips to share - these were my favorite kind as they were semi-thick and super crunchy. Overall, I had a solid experience at Cinco de Mayo. It definitely hit the Mexican craving spot and I would have no qualms returning for another meal.

Also got guacamole and chips as a side - which was on the smaller side given the price. All in all it's a good lunch option in the city!

I had this place bookmarked for a while. Finally came for my birthday dinner. It was a rainy…read moreevening and I was hoping there'd be umbrella sleeves offered. I didn't see any but saw buckets for umbrellas. I opted not to leave it there since I didn't wanna forget or risk someone taking it. I took it upstairs with me. My friend had arrived and was seated. Apparently, they do offer sleeves because she got one. But the 3 people who were at the hostess booth failed to offer me one. The beautiful ambiance will get your attention immediately. It is a stunning space. The tableware was gorgeous as well. We waited for our last friend to arrive who was almost half an hour late before ordering (we thought she'd arrive sooner). Our server, Matias was gracious about it the whole time. What we ordered: Drinks: Passionfruit Margaritas & Mojito - we were happy with them. Tlayudas, Guacamole y Salsas - this was really good and a great option for the table to share. The homemade chips alone were excellent. Liked all the different dips. Guac could've used some cilantro and more acid/spice. Tán Ceviche - I loved this. Super fresh and great flavor. Could use a touch of acid. My entree was the Shrimp & Crab Enchiladas - This was pretty good. The sauce could've used some spice and some acid to cut through the richness. My friend ordered the Yellow Corn Soup as part of her meal and she did not like it. She said it was too sweet which I thought was strange. I tried a spoonful and I agreed with her. It needed a savory note and again, acid would've done wonders. Also, the crab was a bit fishy in this. She enjoyed her tamal though. I tried a touch of the sauce and it was delish. My other friend had the Quesabirria which she was also happy with. To sum up: Ambiance: 5/5 The space is undoubtedly gorgeous. Food: 4/5 Beautiful presentation on everything but each dish lacks an element or two to make it a home run. Staff: Wait staff 5/5. Downstairs staff (greeters/hostess) 4/5. Needs to be more on point like offering customers sleeves for umbrellas or pointing out the buckets to put them in. At some point through our entrees a group of 3 women were doing a 10-minute photo shoot by the stairway where our table was. Absolutely inappropriate behavior and a manager should've stopped it. Camera flashes all up in our faces while we're eating wasn't cool. Overall, still a great elevated Mexican cuisine option. The slight tweaks would make this a 5 star place for me. I'd return to try more things.

What a GORGEOUS space. Whoever interior decorated this restaurant deserves their tens because it is…read morea spectacle. I had only seen daytime pics, but being there in the evening is a treat. If you are someone who is looking at an aesthetic place, this is a top contender. Unfortunately, I would say this place is better looking than the food is good. The food was fine, appetizers were all fresh but lacked any real depth in flavor. I wasn't too thrilled with the bone marrow I had either (but the tortillas come in the cutest basket). Personally, if it wasn't for the drinks and the space, I cant say this place is worth it - you're not coming here for the food. Another little complaint I have is the women's restroom on the second floor - right by the door is a floor to ceiling mirror which I understand was included to make the space seem bigger, but my friends and I agreed that it is a little misleading - I kept wanting to walk into it thinking there was more space there and not wall. I would recommend maybe putting a decal on it to clearly show its mirror.
