As usual the restaurant is festive, lively & busier than ever with friendly & fast service. The Pulpo Asado was grilled perfectly & tender. The Guacamole was creamy, chunky & tasty, with the optional to order it mild, medium or spicy, & the chips were warm & crispy. If it's your Birthday you'll get a free tequila shot, a sparkler in your dessert & an upbeat Birthday song. Feel free to clap & sing as well!

Love the tacos! They had some gluten-free options too. Also, the staff was pretty up on celiac and gluten-free options and we're very willing to go talk to the kitchen if they had questions. Basically, I felt comfortable here. Also, everyone really enjoyed their food and we will be back. Cool vibe too.

Steak and eggs. There is a scoop of guacamole adorning the plate.

While the lunch menu was off the table for the labor day holiday, the brunch menu was a great way to end the last big holiday of the summer. The steak and eggs were great. I got my egg scrambled and they were light fluffy and seemed buttery. Whenever I order steak and eggs, my concern is with how the eggs are going to be. These were surprisingly delectable! The staff was very attentive and the place is pretty. The steak was perfect.

My partner and I went to Rancho Tequileria after a night out drinking and we made reservations although it wasnt too crowded. The restaurant was well kept and also had nice dim lighting. We immediately were greeted and directed to our seats. The waiting staff were attentive and fast and we immediately were able to order our food. The drinks were so delicious and the tacos were even better. I would definitely go back to this place, the night there was a great end of our day.

    Molcajete. Solid dish for sharing.

Short review: Order the Tablones Verdes. Outstanding. The Puebla style mole poblano is also solid. Tampiqueña, guacamole, and molcajete were fine choices also. The prices are high but hey it's the Upper West Side and most of the dishes are meant for sharing. This is a solid Mexican restaurant with another location in Hell's Kitchen. I went here with one of my groups with the host haven't eaten here several times. I had the La De Oro with Cuervo Gold Tequila, Blood Orange, Fresh Lime Juice & Agave Nectar ($15) to drink which was a tasty cocktail. Good amount of blood orange with a good hit of tequila. Service is friendly. They have a secret hot sauce which is tasty also. We first got some chips which had a good fry. Soon after, a good size portion of guacamole arrived (it better be for $15.95.) The avocado was fresh and it was tasty though I have preferred the spices at other spots. The following then arrived afterwards- Tablones Verdes- Braised Short Ribs, Green Tomatillo Cilantro Sauce, Pickle Onions, Served in a Volcanic Stone, Rice Casserole, Corn Tortillas. $32.95 This was my favorite dish of the night and was essentially a take on costillas de res en salsa verde. It was fall off the bone tender and the sauce had a great depth of flavor. Fun presentation as well. Traditional Mole de Puebla- Pan-seared Chicken In Our Exquisite Home made Puebla- Style Mole Sauce, Corn Epazote, Rice Casserole, Platanos Maduros & Corn Tortillas. $26.95 Solid mole with not too much sweetness. The corn epazote on the side was a bit different with a bit of sweetness and the texture reminded me a bit of risotto oddly (I can't exactly tell if I liked or disliked it.) I would have preferred a stronger fry on the maduro but I think this is partially since I am used to and prefer heavily the Caribbean style of maduros. Molcajete de Rancho- Mexican Volcanic Stone, Grilled Skirt Steak, Shrimp, Chicken, Mexican Sausage, Fried Cheese, Cactus, Grilled Jalapeno, Salsa Ranchera, Rice Casserole, Corn Tortillas, Black Beans. $35.95. Big portion as expected for the price and it was a fun presentation. Mix of meats were solid though as per the tampiqueña below, the steak could have been a bit more tender. Sauce was nice. Alright dish and good for a group do try a lot of their meats there. Tampiqueña- Tequila Lime and Rosemary Marinated Grilled Skirt Steak, Cheese Enchilada, Cambray Onion, Guacamole, Mexican Rice & Black Beans. $32.95 Steak could have been a bit more tender but it had good flavor. The mini cheese enchilada was a nice touch with the sauce and the presentation was nice. Alright. Mexican food here was solid with good presentations. Prices are a bit high but it's this area. If anything else was as good as the short ribs, I'd probably give them a 5 but the average 4 stars is accurate.

This is another restaurant my sister took me who lives in Manhattan when I said "I want some good Mexican food" The staff was super friendly and approachable she explained the menu and everything very kindly and patiently. She recommended me enchiladas and since I haven't had one in years why not!! My partner ordered chicken tacos which was amazing too, enchiladas were good, I tried some of my sisters fajita too it was yum. Everyone was friendly and the atmosphere was nice, it was freezing cold outside but the outdoor area looked pretty, family said it's really nice sitting outside during summer too.

Just happened to come across this place and decided to give it a try. They have outside seating with cute decor. Some sign on the outside to welcome you with specials and lunch specials. The inside is very cute. The service was friendly. The lunch special had around 4-5 choices for 12.99 and it comes with a choice of soup or salad. The food was tasty and filling.

It's expensive for what feels like a local Mexican place but the food is really excellent and the Margaritas (also expensive) are delicious!

A quick internet search led me to this tiny little takeaway window. There were a few people waiting around for their orders, but the service was quick, and super friendly. The birria was amazing, super tender, perfect seasoning and came with two sauces for dipping. Unbelievably flavourful, and an impressive serving size. Great value for the money. Truly authentic Mexican street food. I'll be back.

We had our usual list of spots in Midtown East, but this time we wanted something a little different. We ultimately landed on Mexican, however even then there were several spots to chose from. One of my colleagues found CdM, and since we had nothing to lose we decided to check it out. In terms of physical space at CdM, there is very little; this is actually a walk-up spot hence it is solely a takeout restaurant. The menu is pretty straightforward - lots of Mexican staples with a good variety to choose from. The burrito bowl looked good so I decided to go with that - I was given choice of protein (I chose pastor) and types of beans (I chose black). The bowl was really good - all the ingredients tasted fresh and they were generous with the portion. They added sour cream to the top of the bowl and it came with a side of salsa verde which I thought was a nice touch. We also ordered some bags of tortilla chips to share - these were my favorite kind as they were semi-thick and super crunchy. Overall, I had a solid experience at Cinco de Mayo. It definitely hit the Mexican craving spot and I would have no qualms returning for another meal.

I didn't see any but saw buckets for umbrellas. I opted not to leave it there since I didn't wanna forget or risk someone taking it. I took it upstairs with me. My friend had arrived and was seated. Apparently, they do offer sleeves because she got one. But the 3 people who were at the hostess booth failed to offer me one. The beautiful ambiance will get your attention immediately. It is a stunning space. The tableware was gorgeous as well. We waited for our last friend to arrive who was almost half an hour late before ordering (we thought she'd arrive sooner). Our server, Matias was gracious about it the whole time. What we ordered: Drinks: Passionfruit Margaritas & Mojito - we were happy with them. Tlayudas, Guacamole y Salsas - this was really good and a great option for the table to share. The homemade chips alone were excellent. Liked all the different dips. Guac could've used some cilantro and more acid/spice. Tán Ceviche - I loved this. Super fresh and great flavor. Could use a touch of acid. My entree was the Shrimp & Crab Enchiladas - This was pretty good. The sauce could've used some spice and some acid to cut through the richness. My friend ordered the Yellow Corn Soup as part of her meal and she did not like it. She said it was too sweet which I thought was strange. I tried a spoonful and I agreed with her. It needed a savory note and again, acid would've done wonders. Also, the crab was a bit fishy in this. She enjoyed her tamal though. I tried a touch of the sauce and it was delish. My other friend had the Quesabirria which she was also happy with. To sum up: Ambiance: 5/5 The space is undoubtedly gorgeous. Food: 4/5 Beautiful presentation on everything but each dish lacks an element or two to make it a home run. Staff: Wait staff 5/5. Downstairs staff (greeters/hostess) 4/5. Needs to be more on point like offering customers sleeves for umbrellas or pointing out the buckets to put them in. At some point through our entrees a group of 3 women were doing a 10-minute photo shoot by the stairway where our table was. Absolutely inappropriate behavior and a manager should've stopped it. Camera flashes all up in our faces while we're eating wasn't cool. Overall, still a great elevated Mexican cuisine option. The slight tweaks would make this a 5 star place for me. I'd return to try more things.

If you are someone who is looking at an aesthetic place, this is a top contender. Unfortunately, I would say this place is better looking than the food is good. The food was fine, appetizers were all fresh but lacked any real depth in flavor. I wasn't too thrilled with the bone marrow I had either (but the tortillas come in the cutest basket). Personally, if it wasn't for the drinks and the space, I cant say this place is worth it - you're not coming here for the food. Another little complaint I have is the women's restroom on the second floor - right by the door is a floor to ceiling mirror which I understand was included to make the space seem bigger, but my friends and I agreed that it is a little misleading - I kept wanting to walk into it thinking there was more space there and not wall. I would recommend maybe putting a decal on it to clearly show its mirror.

Decent size Mexican restaurant with some seating in the front and a handful of tables in the back dining room. We started with chips and guac. The guac is large so I understand the price. It was very good. No complaints. The chips could have used more salt though which is always a concern. You'd think Mexican spots would have a tortilla chip down by now. I ordered a steak quesadilla. The steak was tender and had pretty good flavor. I just wish there was more. Especially considering the price. Certainly not a bad quesadilla but the value wasn't quite there. Still, a fine option if you want Mexican food and you are in the area. I'd say the 3.5 rating is pretty spot on.
