Kids meal: tamale rice & beans

White washed Mexican food. Horrible service every time I come (2 out of the 3 times I've came). Dirty and ghetto looking inside.

This was my first time trying this cute little place in Catoosa before a concert at the Hard Rock Casino. It's just right down the street. Service was quick and well done for a group of 6. It's your standard Mexican fare, but I enjoyed my meal. I appreciate the complimentary chips, salsa, AND queso. That is a nice touch.

Great food and attentive service. They're located just off historic Route 66, and the restaurant has that cozy family restaurant feel. The prices are reasonable and the food quality/quantity is quite good! This was my first visit to Catoosa, so my first visit to this restaurant, but I'm sure I will be back!

Date of check in 1/24/23 Not a lot has changed at Las Parrillas since the last visit. Great OkieMex food and service.

    Carne asada plate

Delicious!! Upon the recommendation of our friends we gave this place a shot. And wow, we were not disappointed. The food was authentically Mexican. The carne asada was tender and very well seasoned. The refried bean were smooth and tasty. The portions are plentiful and the staff polite. Definitely worth the visit!

Waitress spilled hot queso on me

Ordered salsa, the lady told me they were too busy to get me salsa. She then brought Hot Queso instead and it was very hot temperature. She spilled it all over my lap & i said what the heck. The lady says "you need to calm down, it's not that big of deal". I then said I'm not paying for this id like to leave. She got the manager and he says I've already ordered my food and if i leave without paying they will have to call the cops. Fighting back tears i stood in line and paid and left. This will be the LAST time i EVER eat here. I do NOT recommend it to anyone the way they treat you is absolutely ridiculous! My husband says we should talk to a lawyer about this experience, it literally burned my legs.

    Enchiladas Locas.

The food is excellent. The Jamaica is fresh. I had the Enchiladas Locas. I wanted to cry. It's outstanding. Grilled chicken and chorizo in a cheese sauce over cheese enchiladas. Magnificent! Come in, you will not be disappointed!

The queso and salsa that come with the chips.

I was impressed. Service was friendly, fast, and efficient. I tried the Mexican Enchiladas (with…read moreshredded chicken). I loved the sauce--kind of a more tomatoey mole. I thought the refried beans were above average! I ordered a "regular" margarita but got a giant one. :) It was OK. Pretty typical. Chips and salsa were good. Definitely going back to try other items. The street tacos looked really amazing.

We got seated and offered menus while we placed drink orders and got a bowl of queso to go with the chips and salsa. The salsa is a little underpowered in my opinion, lacking a lot of flavor. The chips were a little thick and harder to chew up.... not bad, just not light and airy... but the tradeoff is no wimpy chip, so they're not going to break off in your dip. The queso was of the thinner variety with a lighter, less robust flavor than some others. It stayed thin and workable throughout the meal, which is a definite plus over the ones that harden to concrete before you get halfway through. Son had the beef quesadilla with ground beef and he said it was very good, one of the better ones he's had. The small bite I took confirmed that. I had the mexican enchiladas (that's actually the name of the dish, not any type of description), going with beef, chicken and cheese. The dish came with the usual beans and rice, both of which were really good. I place a little bit of emphasis on those, because if a place can't execute the simple sides well, there's not a lot of hope for the entrees. The enchiladas were all good. The cheese one was thick and creamy. I would have preferred some diced onions in there, but that's just me. The chicken one was well flavored, full of shredded chicken (fajita chicken is an option), and the beef one had plenty of seasoned ground beef. Of the three, the beef was my least favorite, I think because it was a textural thing. I still demolished all three of them, so no complaints at all. Sides of guac were fresh and well flavored. Service was good, especially considering the full house, with more at the door. Prices were very reasonable in my opinon. My entree and the queso were just north of $20 before tip. I would definitely go back, especially to try the fajitas, which looked really good at another table.
