We have been coming to the hotel at Estero Beach for 20 years, and always enjoy visiting Las Terrazas Restaurant. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting, and the service is great. We love it here. On this trip we ate here three times for dinner. For the three dinners my husband ordered chicken fajitas, pasta tetrazzini with chicken and mushrooms, and the beef steak a la tampiqueña, medium rare. All were excellent, but we especially enjoyed the beef steak (skirt steak, I believe). It was cooked perfectly and had a delicious enchilada with it, along with guacamole, beans, vegetables and fresh warm tortillas. My three dinners included the beef steak tampiqueña (which I ordered because my husband's was so wonderful the night before), beef fajitas, and grilled chicken. I must mention that the chicken and the beef were grilled over a mesquite fire, which made them extra special. For dessert we had vanilla ice cream, a pecan tart, and a small slice of cheesecake. All were very tasty and presented beautifully. While the food and ambiance were lovely, our favorite thing was how warm, friendly and attentive our wait staff was on this trip. Sebastian, Karla and Nicole were excellent! They helped us choose wine, lit a cozy fire for us, and checked in frequently to make sure we had absolutely everything we needed. All three servers had a fantastic sense of humor and were happy to translate as needed, since our Spanish is quite limited. It is a pleasure to dine where the servers are so personable. As we left the restaurant each evening to stroll back to our hotel room, we were delighted by the glowing patio lights and well manicured gardens as we looked across the bay at the sunset and twinkling lights in the distance. We will be back again and again. Thank you for making us feel special. Tom and Karen

This place is wonderful! We came for breakfast. I ordered Oatmeal and a cappuccino, my husband got a ham omelet with bacon, I posted pics of their food but forgot what it was called. The view here is everything! The service is good. I love how clean this place is. My only complaint is that they don't serve café Leche. You definitely need to come visit here.

Chilaquiles & Scrambled eggs. Best ones ever!

The food in this restaurant is so good, Chilaquiles were my Favorite, but the omelette was good too, the staff is so nice and on top of everything. Can't wait to go back!

Las Terrazas Restaurant is located at Estero Beach Hotel Resort, you don't have to stay at the Hotel to dine at the restaurant. In face I've never stayed at this Hotel but have been to this Restaurant several times, all for Breakfast, this visit was more an evening and enjoy the views. As I said I've been here before several times but for some reason have not reviewed them, from the several Breakfast visits the food was average to good, prices are not bad, I'd say this Restaurant is more about relaxing and enjoying the ocean view, at least that's my take and reason we're here this evening. Drinks, Dessert and enjoy the Ocean View..... Tamarindo Margarita https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/las-terrazas-ensenada?select=jKMJaKYjxobJ7EWbE8sJsg The wife's drink, she gave it two thumbs up! 5-Stars Chocolate Coulant aka Moulton Chocolate Cake https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/las-terrazas-ensenada?select=awsuTtjSKtAq3yKu7kQnnw I'm not sure they understand the idea of "Moulton" as all the chocolate filling was spread on top and around plate, not inside https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/las-terrazas-ensenada?select=gGYBwZD-Vw5oy9VZlgmQ4Q as it should. With all that said was it any good? YES, moist cake, good flavor not too sweet. 4-Stars House Flan https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/las-terrazas-ensenada?select=do7DAg-_52_Pi_v_Op9s4g Your basic flan done very well https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/las-terrazas-ensenada?select=XFKnEuqpFpckO_B-Z8R8yQ smooth, creamy and caramel was nice. 5-Stars

My assessment is based on a two visit 1st day I came to have lunch, 2nd day I had breakfast First day there was a little hiccup with the service provided but to the credit the establishment, the second day when I arrived the management actually came up to me an apologized which I thought was quite commendable. The service on the 2nd day was excellent and always the food was great and the view is always wonderful. Highly recommend the Taco trio delicious

Food 4 Views 5 Service 3 (average, not exceptional) Cleanliness 5 Atmosphere 5 Prices 3 (you pay for the view) I had a nice lunch with friends at this resort restaurant. It was just warm enough we were able to sit on the terrace outside and enjoy the incredible views of the inlet, though I wished I had brought a jacket. The breezes come off the cold waters of the Pacific Ocean. The restaurant is right at the waters edge. Estero beach means Inlet Beach. From our vantage point we could watch the sea lions, pelicans, anhingas and other wildlife as well as the beauty of the inlet with the waves of the Pacific nearby. The views are incredible. The food is very good, but you can find really good food, even better food, and other places in Ensenada in my opinion. The advantage of this restaurant is the classiness of the resort, and the location on the water which gives you the views. I was impressed with the cleanliness, the immaculate landscaping, the quality of furnishings and decorations, as well as the secure parking and tranquil resort atmosphere. Sometimes it's nice to get away from the bustle and noise of the city, especially during Baja 1000 week. We had the shrimp ceviche for an appetizer which was quite good. I ordered the arrachera steak. They did not ask me how I wanted it cooked, and it arrived a little less done then what I prefer, but still was very good. The size of the portions were not overly generous. Perhaps they want to make sure you have room for dessert. :-) Cuts of meat were served on a cutting board rather than on plates. I am not personally a fan of that presentation because what is porous and one never knows how well they are sterilized in between customers. There are also dining rooms indoors which looked quite nice, this will be a great place for a date night. They also looked well capable of handling large groups. For the price paid and for the food received I would've been just as happy someplace else, but it was really nice to see the beautiful inlet.

rating this place a 1 because i cant put 0 stars*****would not recommend this place to anybody as there is a thief among the staff. my parents renewed there 20 year wedding anniversary at this location .. we had to take the celebration into our own hands and find several different coordinators (had to fly out twice to meet photographer, baker,dj,florist, decorator) as the wedding planners on site were unresponsive and basically didn't deal with you unless you were in there face , while celebrating with our family staff went into wedding coordinator office(where bridal party got ready) to steal my mothers brand new iphone as well as money. we were told we can have deink tickets at reception in which luis lobo sent us and told us we can use, when presenting them to staff they refused as a way to charge $1500 bar tab (mind you we docked from carnival cruise line) only there 3-4 hrs overall just a huge slap in the face , my parents planned there wedding for 6 months & all we got from this place was a beautiful location everything else was done by family. the fact that they can just steal say they have no cameras and be unresponsive is a huge let down!! find my iphone was located sent that to the management and no response. smh

Photo of where my phone ended up

It's unfortunate that you have to literally hold onto your belongings and wallet because their is a thief among the restaurant staff. We celebrated our 20th wedding recently in April 2022. Our items were held in the wedding coordinators office. Which I might add is part of the restaurant. An employee went into the office and stole $400 and the brides cell phone. 2nd Red Flag- Luis Lobo gave us tickets to give to our guests for drinks. The staff refused the tickets. It their way of running up a 1500 plus bar tab. Beware if you're having a. Wedding here. I literally called and texted Luis Lobo and also the owner Gerardo Novelo, the Senator and you guessed it NO REPLY! It's so so sad. I literally gave them the address of where the phone was located and I have yet to hear back. The food was great but be-careful. In speaking to others, I have come to find out that I'm one of many.

We have been here a couple times this week during our visit and everything I have tried is great! The clam chowder was very special in a bread bowl and the tortilla soup had great spice! The bluefin tuna sashimi was perfect. The three guys in our party caught halibut and we asked the chef to create a unique platter. He did not disappoint! It included breaded and fried, guajillo pan seared and garlic butter halibut pan seared. Absolutely gorgeous! Thank you chef Fidencío!!!

Food - 3*, views - 5*, average if four. There are tons of places with great food in Ensenada that compete hard with each other, but at Las Terrazas because of their location there's no need in competition, and I guess lack of competition doesn't affect food quality in a good way. But there's nothing wrong about it, if you agree to pay for views, you may scarify your food experience sometimes.

Good restaurant located at the Estero Beach Resort. I felt their dinner menu is "Americanized"a bit, but it was surprisingly good. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating on a nice day can't be beat, as it overlooks the bahia and the ocean. Awesome views! Since it was a nice warm day, we started with a Tecate "Michelada style". Those are always great when the weather is nice. First off ordered the chicken tortilla soup, and it was a bit unique in that they bring you the bowl with all the tortilla strips, cheese, avocado and sour cream without the soup. Then the waiter pours the piping hot soup from a pot into your bowl. Never seen my soup brought out that way, but it was kind of cool. The soup tasted different (tasted tomato based) from the stuff I'm used to, but it was still great. My group all had the NY Steak dinner, and it was delicious. It came with a side of veggies and grilled corn on the cob. It was quite filling. We did have breakfast the following week I was here, and they did have a Sunday breakfast buffet that was definitely on the Mexican side. They had a crepe and omelet station, chilaquiles, cafe de olla and chicharones en salsa. While we ended up getting a small eggs/bacon breakfast, I will be trying the Sunday brunch the next time I am here. Our waiter provided awesome service, was very friendly and attentive. Our waters were always filled. Really enjoyed dinner here, and if you are staying at Estero Beach you should try it out. Plates range from $8-25 US Dollars. You can also use your credit card, so hopefully you have one that doesn't have foreign exchange fees.

The last time my friends attempted to eat here, the restaurant was full and it will take at least a 30 minute wait to get seated. Today, the 21st of November was our lucky day as we were craving the freshest ceviche Ensenada has to offer and experiencce the five star rating Muelle 3 was known for. Our party of 4 chose to sit outside to eat lunch on this cool, cloudy Friday afternoon and be exposed to the sights and sounds of this busy commercial and fishing port. Within minutes of getting settled, our free appetizer - Tortilla Espanola and a plate full of lemon & lime slices with an oyster shell-full of sea salt and chili powder occupied the center of our table. Then came the Ceviche de la casa. A winner in my book of ceviches! Plus a coaster-sized, fresh off the pan tortilla chips gave it a unique serving style. We had to order another bowl of tortillas because eating ceviche without it just won't be the same. The Calamar frito were perefectly breaded, without excess flour and grease in every bite. Another winner! Last but not the least is the Pasta de Mar with the clams of different sizes and pre-cut scallops in the their shell. Muy Delicioso! More hungry patrons started arriving and we still got prompt service. I will make it a point to grab a satisfying seafood dish or two here the next time I visit Ensenada whether by car or by cruise ship.

This time, I wasn't taking any chances. I called exactly 10 days out (their max window) to lock in a reservation. We arrived early and were seated right away. Our server was super friendly and honest, too. When he saw us ordering the mixed sashimi and the ceviche, he gently suggested we get a half order instead, since we had a lot of other dishes coming. We agreed... and were shocked by how big the half portion was! Our son said, "I've never seen a restaurant talk us out of ordering more food." Respect. Honest people, great vibes. As for the food: * Mixed sashimi (yellowtail & octopus): 3/5 * Ceviche: 5/5 * Fried calamari: 4/5 * Prawns with pasta: 5/5 * Three fish risotto: 6/5 (still dreaming about it) Drinks included a michelada, margarita, and a couple beers. All that for under $120. Total win. Amazing meal at a chill spot with people who treat you right. Highly recommend and it will be a must stop for our future visit.
