Purchased the Clear & Brilliance prior to the Covid-Shutdown. Just finished my second treatment with RN, Melissa. Which of whom took the overall experience to the next level. The treatment itself promotes skin turnover to bring a radiant glow to the surface. Your face will be red afterwards best resembles a slight facial sunburn. Make sure you do not have an event planned for at least 2 week depending on the sensitivity of your skin. With only 2 treatments it's hard to tell if the effects are long-term. However, I plan on purchasing another package to give it a course of a year. read more

I did not decide to move forward and it's only been less than an hour and I received this invoice saying I owe $664 for "Revanesse" injectables!!! That's absolutely INSANE. I called a location in my area and was told I was probably mistakenly charged. How could they charge the wrong client for services that expensive? It seems fishy to me like someone was trying to get over and confuse me and hope I mistakenly pay thinking my consultation was not free? Or just get a free service and have the charge go into my collections! I don't know. I purchased full body laser hair removal and Botox. I have only been for two sessions, but so far the staff has been wonderful and the process doesn't seem to be as painful as I've heard! My favorite nurses are Vanessa and Natalie. What I love most about these two is that they take their time, are professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. I didn't feel rushed, embarrassed, or stupid, while asking about the process and other treatments. I wish clients were able to pick their nurse for their visits, but I've been lucky with them so far! I had such a horrible experience with this company. Please take your money and get your overpriced laser hair removal somewhere else. I went for a consultation pre-COVID and was contacted for payment and scheduling as this office was reopening. They wanted to take my information online which I was not comfortable doing so we scheduled a phone call. When I called there was only one person in the office answering 8 phones. I couldn't get any words in before she had to place me on hold several times during our conversation. During my consultant I made it known to the customer service rep that I was a nurse. When she tried to call for my payment information I reminded her I was a nurse and was working night shifts so I was hard to reach during the day. When we finally connected she took my payment no questions asked and tried to schedule me within the next hour. I've received laser hair removal before this so it's well known you just shave 24-hrs prior to treatment. I reminded her of this so she scheduled me the next day. The customer service representatives should know more about the treatment that they're selling. As soon as I came into the office no one was at the front desk. A FEDEx man almost gave me a package because no one was around to accept it. Once someone finally came to the front desk she asked me the routine COVID screening questions and checked my temperature which was normal. When asked if I had exposure to anyone with confirmed COVID-19 I answered "yes I am a nurse" to which the front desk attendant freaked out and stated "this has never happened before" and ran to the back to consult with her manager. After about 5 minutes she comes out and says "we can't treat you because this office can't afford to lose any more money or close because of you". She told me to wait around while she called her regional manager however I was not going to waste any more of my time in this office. After she reached out to her regional manager I was contacted by the front desk attendant again -- not the manager of the Bucktown Location, not a nurse who does the treatments or even the regional manager themselves. The front desk attendant had the nerve to ask me to stop working with COVID-19 patients, quarantine for 10 days, obtain a COVID-19 swab, and get a doctors note of clearance for LASER HAIR removal. I don't realize how ridiculous they realize this sounds. I had oral surgery two weeks before this appointment and my oral surgeon didn't make me go through any of these just to perform surgery in my mouth where my secretions are -- which is the most contagious when it comes to COVID. I'm not sure if the LaserAway staff has proper PPE because any medical professional should know that as long as everyone is washing their hands and wearing appropriate PPE than the risk of contractibility is very low. For a place that has a lot of nurses it seems like they are not very educated on this. After I was turned away I was provided several false promises by again -- the front desk attendant, no one in a managerial role. I was informed that I would be contacted by a customer service representative and they would "take care of me". Did I mention that when I referred my friend -- yes another nurse to which I was offered $100 credit towards my services and 10 U of Botox which I did not receive. I heard from someone at corporate almost a week after this happened, and I still have not received my refund. I haven't even heard from the customer service representative who helped me in the first place. I paid over $2000 for services that I was not able to receive yet on top of that they promised I would be "taken care of". How can a company take care of you if they don't give you the services that you paid for in full in the first place? They were so quick to take my money but weren't even thinking to screen me over the phone. I am so distraught and hurt from my experience here at Bucktown Laser Away. At a time where several company's are finally recognizing nurses for their courage and hard work during a global pandemic they completely will discriminate anyone that enters my profession. I can't believe she had the nerve to ask me to stop working with the COVID patients. Particularly at a time where our nation is experiencing a shortage of critical care nurses like myself. I have never felt so humiliated and heartbroken by a service experience in my life. I just hope that they have made the changes that this never happens to anyone again. read more

Second time they wanted to treat an area that did not need treatment and blamed the person with whom I spoke for a misunderstanding. Third time was the same as the second time AND the treatment area was even smaller. Worse experience I've had honestly. I suggest you find another place for laser hair removal.
