I've been going to Irene for IPL treatment and for laser hair removal. It's been a fantastic experience and I've gotten excellent results. I've gone to another place for IPL and had almost no noticeable results. I did one treatment on my face, chest and stomach and all my cherry angiomas, tons of brown spots from sun damage and aging. I did a full laser hair removal service (multi-session) and in the end I still have lots of hair and am patchy everywhere. I thought maybe it was just how it is with laser but I've seen the results on people far hairier than me with the same number of sessions and they look smooth. So I'm disappointed, I don't think I'd send a friend there for that service. Beyond that, the facilities are nice and seem clean. The staff was nice. I'll say my tech wasn't as professional as I would have liked (telling me about her personal problems) which I guess, is fine but just erodes at the professional feeling you have going to a place. Warning to trans folks: do not use Enfuse if you intend on pursuing reimbursement from your insurance for gender affirming care! They refuse to help with this process. I don't think it's fair for Enfuse to advertise themselves as trans friendly and then not help trans people use their insurance benefits. The Enfuse team is great! I first met the owner Patti when I went in for a consultation to reduce surgical scars from orthopedic and other surgeries. As a middle aged-dude, I'd never been to a med spa before and honestly was a little nervous, but the whole team put me at ease from the second I walked in. It's also a really nice, relaxing space, and feels very private too. When I called they got me in the next day for a consult. There was zero pressure to buy services, Patti clearly explained the treatments, what to expect, and pricing which I found to be very reasonable (with discounts for multiple sessions). I initially ended up booking surgical scar reduction via the pico resolve laser (which worked amazingly well, highly recommend), morpheus8 treatments (which also really made a huge difference in tightening skin and improving surgical scars), and laser hair removal (which I'd had at my dermatologists office before with minimal results... but Patti's laser worked amazingly well and it was cheaper than the dermatologists so now I'm seeing Enfuse for that too). I've worked with 2 different providers at Enfuse (Patti and Chris) and they are both so cool and friendly to just talk to while getting the treatments - totally put me at ease. You can tell they truly care about you as a patient and always point you in a helpful direction, whether it be toward a new and innovative treatment (Patti is on top of the newest and best!), or in some cases, even telling you why a specific treatment doesn't make sense for you to do. I literally waited WEEKS to have microblading here by Irene. I completely changed my schedule to be here in a day she could provide service. I get here and some woman I do not know and did not book with comes to do my microblading!!!! Ummmm, no! This is NOT who I booked with. The whole experience was awful, extremely inconsiderate, uncomfortable and completely avoidable. Patti just continued to talk over me so when I tried to speak I was 'yelling' ummm, no I tried to ask to speak and she just kept on going! Trying to convince me the two staff women 'have the same certifications so it shouldn't matter'. It matter to me. Just like choosing the best doctor, hairdresser, car repair person etc. I bet they all have the same licensure too! BUT we all know who we want and have booked with! So clearly was trying to blame me for their error. Nobody tried to get me in with the correct person, rebook me with the correct person.....nope, just 'oops' Go somewhere where you actually get the correct person to put permanent make-up on your face! If it's something simple where staff can be interchangeable then it's probably fine. Just don't count on getting who you book with. Clearly that isn't important to them even if it's permanent make-up!! Scary that 'someone' wouldn't think people are particular about that! On your face!!! This place is Amazing! I just got my eyebrows micro-bladed with Irene and she did a phenomena job on both the shape and execution. I came in initially for a complimentary consultation regarding my eyebrows. They have always been shaped like caterpillars and I was ready for a change. I came to Enfuse about five minutes early and was greeted by a very welcoming man, who had me fill out very basic paper work. I would say overall I waited about 10-15 minutes before Irene took me downstairs. The whole spa is very clean and modern. Right from the start Irene was very friendly and she listened to what I desired for my brows. After a quick examination of my brows she began to draw on a shape that we both felt was perfect! Since I loved the shape she asked if I wanted to go ahead and get them done, it was the most spontaneous decision I've ever made; and truth be told I'm glad I decided to get it done right then and there! As far as the pain it did hurt, but it was tolerable. I believed she went over my brows at least three times (each) and the process only lasted a little over an hour. It cost me about $450, but I believe that includes the first touch up, which I have scheduled for mid August. if you're considering getting micro-blading done I highly suggest stopping by and giving "Enfuse" a visit! My experience at Enfuse raised the bar for what trans competent care can be. Enfuse is THE BEST. I had a neograft FUE hair transplant at Enfuse. I called their office -- even though I live out of state -- because I knew trans friends Chicago went to them for laser, and I had seen a couple of drag performers I follow get hair transplants there. I originally didn't want to travel for surgery, but I was having a hard time with hair transplant surgeons in my home city. I'm so glad I called Enfuse. Kevin immediately was a darling and answered all of my questions and offered me a free consultation. I knew I was in good hands. I had the consultation within a week. One of the best things at this stage was that Kevin was clear about money!!! I sent him some pics of my hairline and he drafted up a diagram of the regions we could transplant hairs to, how many grafts would be needed for each potential result, and the cost. I paid half the cost to hold the date and the other half day of procedure. Soon after my consult I met with Dr Gilleon, who prescribes the meds for the procedure. She was very kind and thoughtful. Even with holding the date, there was so much flexibility -- if we needed to reschedule, I could do that with no fees. Enfuse makes a concerted effort NOT to overbook their schedule with procedures so that every client can receive attentive and quality care. In the weeks and days before and after the procedure Kevin was available by text, email, and call to check in, answer my questions, and keep me grounded. Especially with covid there's a lot to balance. The procedure is not too intense but there are some specific before-care and after-care things to keep in mind and it was helpful to have reminders from Kevin, or be able to ask him why he recommends certain things. The procedure day was a little scary but the staff at Enfuse made it as smooth as possible. It was a long day -- 8 hours with a lunch break, just a lot of local lidocaine and anti-anxiety meds. The procedure was done by Maria and Sonia, who are both very skilled and experienced in this procedure, in addition to being lovely women. During the easier parts of the procedure I had fun just talking and laughing with them. Maria was the one who drew my hairline with surgical marker in the morning and she worked with me patiently until I was completely happy with the shape and symmetry. I didn't feel rushed at all which was important to me. They both have INCREDIBLE tact as medical professionals. They work quickly and efficiently but I always felt comfortable asking to get up for a break, asking for water, etc. I've been healing really well. I'm a little more than one week out. I have utmost faith that I will continue to heal well, but it also reassures me that I can come back anytime for a free revision if needed. I feel like enfuse really wants me to have the best results and doesn't just want my money, and for that I am so thankful. After doing some heavy research on microblading for over a year now, I finally decided take the leap of faith. I went in to get 3D Microblading done with Irene Medina. She was super sweet! She went over the procedure and asked me to show her pictures of what I wanted my eyebrows to look like. I specified that I wanted to keep them as natural looking as possible and a bit thicker, since my natural brows are quite sparse and thin. She definitely delivered on the thickness! I was a bit shocked at how dark they looked in person. Irene reassured me that the pigment will fade 20-40% after two weeks. While visiting Chicago I decided to finally look into getting my thin/over-plucked eyebrows micro-bladed. I've been hesitant because I didn't want something heavy and unnatural looking because I'm not a makeup person. Let me tell you, I wish I had done this a loooong time ago. I cannot believe how much of a difference it had in my appearance. I'm not trying to toot my own horn, but I feel way sexier/more sultry actually having full/shapely brows. I keep checking myself out in the mirror lol. I have lots of tattoos, and they numb the entire site before anyway, so the procedure was a breeze. Irene is amazing and so talented. I was expecting the use of stencils and going through a bunch of goofy looks before picking the right template for my face, but she actually custom designs them on your face to be geometrically perfect and proportioned. I was so stoked, that I decided to get a few other things done and came back another day for Laser tattoo and hair removal with Patti. I explained to her that I'd had about 6 very expensive sessions of laser hair removal at two different places in Miami years ago, and was very discouraged because it was not lasting. She was so knowledgeable about all the different types of machines/lasers and explained how they work, and why certain ones will never achieve permanent results. Another huge difference what how thorough she was in covering the entire area I was having done. My past experiences were very rushed, and I was made to feel like I was getting the bare minimum for my money so they could keep me coming back.
