I had IPL with Jena and am very happy with the results. Not only is Jena the sweetest, but it was the best outcome I have ever had from a beauty service. For years I tried to fade some sun spots using topical treatments. I have no idea how much I spent on potions over the years. I tried a prescription 4% hydroquinone, Azaleic acid, various peels, exfoliant cleansers, a tranexamic acid cream and Arbutin to name a few things I tried. I should have saved all that money because after wasting 4 years of unsuccessful tries, IPL with Jena removed the sunspots in only two treatments. I visited the Wicker Park location with a Groupon I bought for 3 sessions of laser hair removal. I was recommended to see Amy from my friend who have been going for awhile. Amy was amazing! She was quick and efficient. I loved how she asked exactly which areas I wanted to target on my neck and chin area. She also asked during the entire process if I felt the zapping or felt uncomfortable. I was done within 10-15 mins. She even explained that the machine was new and how she would use it on my face. Definitely recommend coming here for any hair removal procedures. The location was clean and loved how the decor was so inviting. I visited the river north location in October for laser hair removal and was left with irreversible burns and pigmentation issues. My tattoo was also lasered on which caused it to explode on the side permanently damaging the tattoo. I have had hair removal several time over several years and have never experienced any side effect. When I notified the medspa Mila from the Lincoln park location had me come in to evaluate my injuries. I was told to come to the Lincoln park location with a "different" laser and sent home with a cream to help treat my second degree burns. No one followed up with me after to see if I was healing or to offer a refund on my pack. After the burns didn't go away for 2 months I decided I needed a refund because I would no longer be able to treat my legs as they are permanently discolored. After almost 3 months, I was able to receive my refund for my service but was never offered anything else to help remedy my hypopigmentation that covers my legs. Please stay away from this medspa. Here is the last response I got from Mila at river north regarding my damage. Hello Jessica! Those areas should start to resume producing melanin again in 3-6 months. I am not sure about the tattoo. I've been doing fillers for at least 30 years and have tried a lot of different places from small, very expensive med spas to Michigan Avenue. Jessica is one of the best and very much a perfectionist. I was very impressed on my first appointment and will continue to see her for Botox and other fillers. I'M VERY FUSSY. I don't trust just anyone to work on my face so if I'm happy with her work I'm sure you will be too. Also reasonably priced. read more

Very unprofessional. They overbooked me and changed date on me. Then take credit card in advance, if they make a mistake and overbooked they are OK with it. But if you contact them even the day before service to let them know you habe been called into work, they try to charge you $100. I suggest giving them ahead of time a fake credit card number as I did. Because places that do this are a complete scam. No one deserves to charge people for emergencies and no service rendered. Botox takes 20 mins top. Thos place needs to get over themselves thinking they can charge people for things outbof their control when they have to reschedule. But they certainly didn't find anything wrong with making a mistake on their part and rescheduling when they overbooked. Ridiculous. ​ read more

I went to the river north location to get lip filler and I had a great experience! I had Jennie doing my injections and she was super friendly and comforting, and made sure to ask what I wanted. After 9 laser removal sessions I still love this place! Both Mila and Kelly were amazing, made me feel comfortable, and work super efficiently while still being thorough. I have had much reduced hair growth and maybe would do a touch up but am happy for now. Definitely check out the Groupon if you haven't been and then buy additional packages of 3 for discounts (vs buying sessions individually). Really happy with the results and am thinking of doing laser hair removal on other areas as well after such a great experience. They are super accommodating too if you ever need to reschedule etc and you can text them which is great. Oh, and each session gets progressively less painful because your follicles shrink and hair growth slows. So stick with it even if the first time is tough! read more

Innovative med spa: Jessica and Kelly are two amazing professionals and truly love what they do. I did lip fillers (Juvederm) with Jessica and will never regret it. I was quite hesitant at first because I didn't want my lips to look very un natural but Jessica explained to me the full process and we started step by step. In my first session I saw the results instantly and fell in love, very natural and my upper lip grew perfectly and she even made it more formed. After that I continued my sessions and have a total of 3 sessions with her. The photo attached on this review was my last session shot. As of today I'm in love with my lips, this made me feel more confident and now I can use more lipsticks without it fading instantly after I eat . Now Kelly is also spectacular, I went with her to do Laser on my legs back in February and she also explains to you the full process and makes sure you can tolerate the pain level and heat of the laser before continuing the treatment. Some spots of my legs currently don't grow hair and it does take a while to grow. I will be going back to her for my second session hopefully when all this Covid hits to an end. I got a Groupon for the IPL photo-facial at the Ashland location. Scheduling was easy and the staff was extremely friendly. After consulting with Kelly we determined I was likely looking for the skin resurfacing treatment for signs of aging. I just had my 42nd birthday and started noticing the lines in my forehead and frown lines between my eye brows. I was so happy with the results of this treatment. I purchased three of them for $1200 for optimum results which was $200 off for bundling. I will be receiving the IPL that I purchased the Groupon for in my next appointment which I felt should be used since I do have under eye discoloration. I purchased my husband and IPL treatment as well for the dark circles under his eyes. Be aware that each location has different lasers. The location on North Ashland with Kelly does under eye IPL treatments while the other in River North does not. After just one of the skin resurfacing treatments my complexion looked amazing. The wrinkles were diminished and acne scars almost gone. Definitely recommend this medspa and I can't wait to see the results from the IPL and final skin resurfacing treatments. read more

This was my first experience getting a micro needling treatment. Although I tolerate pain very well, I was still a bit nervous, as Ive heard mixed reviews. Shay was fantastic. Took her a bit to open up (which was probably more me calming down haha), but she took her time during the procedure and was very thorough about what was occurring and specific expectations. I've struggled with skin issues and scarring since pregnancy almost 19 years ago. Jessica at Innovative MedSpa has saved my skin and self esteem. I visited Innovative Medspa Lincoln Park for the first time yesterday. I had microneedling with PRP from Mila and a botox flip from Brooke. Both experiences were exceptional. There is already a dramatic difference in my skin from the microneedling - every one of my girl friends are asking me where I went and what I had done. My fine lines have disappeared completely and the texture of my skin is that of a newborn baby. I've been going to their office for primary care for years and was intrigued when they opened the medspa (as a total newbie to any medspa treatments). I'd been thinking about a few corrective treatments for awhile, so decided to give it a go and was so glad I did! Jessica is extremely patient (especially for someone who is terrified of needles) and has a friendly yet knowledgeable demeanor that immediately put me at ease. I had lip fillers in December 2018 with Jessica. This was y third time having the injections done and my first time with Jessica. I had great results and NO bruising and minimal swelling which is vastly different to my previous experiences. Jessica had a confident and effective technique when administering the injections and it meant less trauma on my lips which for me i such a huge deal given my bruising and swelling tendencies. Jessica was almost amazing as the day before my treatment was scheduled I had a cold sore and Jessica touched base with me about the best treatment for this and gave me a prescription to take an anti viral after my injections with her to decrease the chance of causing a coldsore. I came here for help after a botched filler procedure with a different provider. I'd avoided doing anything out of fear and not wanting to experience the level of pain the other provider had caused. I did a lot of research and found Innovative Medspa and Jessica, who is absolutely amazing. She empathized with me for what I'd been through and was very thorough in her assessment. Jessica is gentle, careful and truly cares about her patients. She makes you comfortable and explains everything about the process as well as how your features work with what you're looking to do so that there is harmony and balance to the face. I've used the Innovative "family" for different reasons, having become familiar with them when Medical Cannabis became legal in Illinois. I was Covid tested there, as they were one of the first places you could drive up, and several Ketamine infusion treatments. This review pertains to their MedSpa. I've developed "Covid lines" (regular age related wrinkles, I'm 48, made more pronounced by worry, stress, 1 new marriage and 2 new teen step kids. Need I say more?) I saw their special for Dysport & decided to try it. I had an appointment with Jennie Kobylanski, RN and she was super patient, explained all pros and cons, and the end result (went low and slow so I still looked like me) is awesome! I look & feel more refreshed. She did a GREAT job! I then decided f**k it and went for Juvederm filler around my nose/mouth with Jessica Jurkovic, RN. She used one syringe to hit the aforementioned areas and a little around my mouth. The difference is very subtle and very effective! My husband knew I looked different but couldn't tell why. Both were very responsive to my questions via email/text, which I really appreciated. I will go back for a couple more units of Botox around my mouth after following their advice of waiting a few weeks. Better to start low and slow than to look like the Joker. Or Meg Ryan.
