I've been a member since March (almost 5 months now) and my specialist, Alyx, is awesome! She is super helpful in answering all my questions and I love how I can personally send an email to Alyx for any concerns. Alyx is very knowledgeable and friendly! I like how Clear Day does their research for each product and works as a team to provide the best service. My skin has never looked better and I am surprised at the length of time for my results. I do want to emphasize that everyone's skin reacts differently to each product. I do want to emphasize that it will feel costly coming in every two weeks at the start of your treatment but investing in your skin is very rewarding when you see results. Don't expect to finish a product if there are changes to your regimen. You have to be open to trial and error. I honestly would rather have someone choose products than myself. I have been researching the latest trends and been on a strict ingredient list and wasn't all satisfied. I do wish I can get samples instead of buying products but then I understand you won't know results until you try it for a period of time. After lots of trials of different products, I think I finally have a good routine so I'm crossing my fingers! Honestly, I wish I found Clear Day years ago as I am in my late 20s and have dealt with acne since elementary school. I also have allergies and lots of oils break me out so most of their products work well for me. Except I did have to stop on of their provided sunscreens for dry skin because I am allergic to Macadamia. I had great success with dermatologists but then my insurance changes or money becomes an issue. If you've been to a dermatologist they always prescribe the usual: birth control, tretinoin, and spironolactone and I was tired of relying on medication. Never took Accutane, but I have tried other known brands to help with acne. I recommend this clinic to anyone tired of buying too many products and can't seem to find a consistent regimen! This place is great! My sister recommend me this place since they specialize with people who suffer from acne. I have had and still experiencing acne flare up and adult cystic acne. Prior to going to Clear Day Acne Clinic I did go to another medical spa for about 8 months. My acne was not improving at all. It seemed like it was getting worse or just not going anywhere at all. My esthetician at Clear Day is Alyx. She is great!!! . My skin has never looked better in the past couple of months. I am able to eat foods that would cause my acne flare ups with minimal breakouts. Do trust the process and clearing up acne especially acne scars is a process. Their main goal is to make sure your acne is at a good spot where you graduate from their clinic. It's hard for me to do this review as I do wanted to give it a better star but I can't. Before coming here, please read my review as this is my honest experience with CDAC. After reading all the 5stars review and etc, I decided to give CDAC a try. I came in with a very high hope to get rid of my mid acne. I don't have crazy acne like others but it all focus on my forehead for a period of time so after reading all the review I chose here to start my acne treatment journey. March 25th: the consultation & 1st acne treatment (about an hour and half - was about $250) She looked at my skin, gave some info about acne, and trying to find reason why I got acne on my face. And then You will have to use their products during the treatment journey other than that they won't take you as a patient. Okay. So I took whatever she told me that I would need at their store. I believe all of products is from their. April 13th: 2nd treatment. (30mins - $100-$150) Coming back after 2 weeks for a routine checkup. Nothing has changed on my skin after using their products or follow the technician's advice. May 4th: 3rd treatment. (30mins - $100-$150). I thought it would be different this time. But NOPE. All the time they do is: look at the skin, take acne out a bit, test new products on your skin to see how it reacts to products. If nothing you would need to buy it. And same thing, I Bought whatever she told me to buy. May 19th: 4th treatment (30mins ~$100-$150+$100 for new products). My skin getting so crazy. Before coming here I only had acne on my forehead, now it's everywhere. Like EVERYWHERE on the face. I asked her what happened to my skin? I used their products, I didn't use any others as I trusted them and followed all of her restrictions about food, drink, sleeping time, etc. But the skin hadn't improved AT ALL BUT WORSE. What she told me, wait and patience because I only came in for more than 2 months and they took AT LEAST 6 months to see the clear skin. Then she said look like my skin didn't like the routine she had set before so she would switch me to the new routine and I would need to buy more products/completely different products. I did ask her what about all of the products I bought before as it's still half way full. She told me she might for a refund for me on them. June 14th: 5th treatment (30mins - $100-$120) same thing, looking into the skin, test new products. She told me to bring products that I couldn't use anymore in the last appointment so I did bring it in. But she said this time: ''unfortunately we couldn't do a refund for you, as this is the routine we set for every new patient to see how their skin goes, and if it got wrong like your we will have to switch to a different routine like yours.'' ...... UHM. I thought everybody is different and their skin type is different too, isn't it? Why or How you could set a general thing like this.. anw I couldn't get any refund at all, and have to keep them for..nothing. July 20th: 6th treatment (30mins ~ $100-$120). I lost my hope in CDAC as every appointment I came in, what she always did is look at the skin, test new products and if nothing minor, she would said keep the work up and I'm done. Is it how you do for an appointment? I expected more as I paid $99 every time just to see you. 4 month since the day I started, my skin was worse than how it was before. They couldn't help on my acne prone. And if I had a question about the acne type, she would answer the same every time like a robot. August 24th: 7th treatment - CANCELED - the moment I knew I had to stop come in. The acne gone crazy all over of my face and I was completely lack of hope with this clinic. My husband was upset too, as my skin wasn't this bad before I came in. I spent a lot of money with a hope to get a better skin, better result. After all, what I got is acne all over the forehead, cheeks, and chin. If you asked me is it worth it? Absolutely NO. And what I regret the most? It's coming here. Taking a chance on clear day acne clinic was one of the best decisions I have made and one of the highlights of the past year for me. Jasmine has been an absolute DREAM to work with -- knowledgeable, patient, understanding, helpful, personable and an expert in treating my acne. My struggles with acne began when I was 12 years old and I have spent an astounding amount of time, money and energy trying different treatments, products, and diets that could at least just keep my painful inflamed acne to a minimum. Nothing ever worked for me -- not for long, anyway. Working with Jasmine, I noticed the difference in the way my skin felt almost immediately after the first treatment and starting the routine. After a few weeks, even though I still had quite a bit of active acne, I could nonetheless already see my skin starting to come to life again. They destroyed my skin and its barrier within one appointment. I am still recovering three months later. I had very mild acne now my face is covered in acne and hyperpigmentation. If you have sensitive or dehydrated skin please go to a dermatologist or do your own research. Their products and services are nothing special and extremely expensive. During my appointment with Landis she felt very dismissive about my concerns and questions and was extremely persistent about selling their products. I had a routine before going that worked just needed extra help which from the rave reviews I thought was the right thing to do. I walked out of there spending almost three hundred dollars. I should have followed my gut and left before getting their procedures. They even recently upped their prices. So the owner use to work for Face Reality in San Fransisco which has the same proceedures and products as Clear Day but Clear Day's prices are more expensive than Face Reality's current prices. They're a business. Their priority is to sell you products and services. I had been on Retin A for over two years with enormous success but had to stop for various reasons. It took about three months of stopping to see more than normal acne again. Retin A is quite a harsh medication that makes you purge your acne and can leave marks. I wanted to avoid that so that's why I went with Clear Day. To be fair the owner was very communicative and seemed generally nice but after my experience I truly believe it's only about gouging money out of people. Their products and services are nothing special and have a huge mark up. For example they use benzoyl peroxide for their clients. Their product comes in a 1 oz tube for $20-25. That same exact product can be found on Amazon in an 8 oz tube for $23. I feel cheated and taken advantage of. My face is ruined after one appointment and if I followed my gut I would have been fine. Now I'm looking at months or even a year of problematic skin and scars. Do not go here and explore other options. You can find a routine that is just as effective without spending 10x the money and being drained for even more. Do not misunderstand that I do believe the positive reviews but like I said I felt they were very predatory and did not take my concerns or previous treatment seriously. I learned about Clear Day from a friend whose skin had made serious improvements. As someone who had never really struggled with acne until I was 30 (what?!), I didn't know where to start. Desperate and encouraged by my friend's success, I started with Alyx at Clear Day. My acne had gotten really bad at that point - deep, cystic, painful, impossible to cover up - so I felt pretty discouraged and like nothing could help. With nothing to lose, I started Clear Day's routine in October 2018 and stuck to it religiously. As someone who craves instant gratification, progress felt slow. I will cut straight to the point- Clear Day was my best decision of 2019. I have always struggled with on and off acne but it morphed into something new when I hit 30. Believe the hype. I suffered with 10+ years of sporadic, annoying and painful cystic acne. On any given day I could count 10-15 deep, red pimples all over my face. Even though I wore SPF every day and didn't pick at the pimples, they always left dark scars behind. Seeing is believing. Anyone who's had persistent acne before has heard all the promises, but what made me give Janice a try was her before-and-after photos so I've included mine and will update again when I see her next because my skin is even better than it was a few months ago. When I first met Janice, I was in the midst of one of the worst breakouts of my life - a breakout that kept escalating for 10 months (if I'm being honest, it had been escalating for almost 10 years). So when she casually said "when your skin is clear in 6 months" I had to physically choke back my laughter. I have to publicly eat my words - she was right, unbelievably right. My 11 year old daughter was on a wait list for 5 months and was very excited to start getting facials to clear up her acne. Each facial is $85 and the acne products are about $100 per month. We've been seeing an aesthetician named Landis twice a month since November. Last week, my daughter told me she ran out of her acne products. I was sick with the flu and decided to pick up the acne products at her appointment today. When Landis found out that my daughter had been out of acne products for 7 days, she became upset, dramatic and completely unreasonable. She accused me of not taking my daughter's acne seriously. Mind you, I had waited 5 months for the first appointment and paid $100 a month for acne products and $85 for each facial. I think I am pretty serious. I was irritated by her behavior and asked her to get the acne products and ring me up so we could leave before rush hour. I told her it's no big deal, I've been sick and we'll buy the products today and get back on track. She refused to sell me any more products and canceled our future appointments - all because my daughter went ONE WEEK without using the acne products. My daughter was in tears. Making the decision to spend some coins at clear day acne in 2021 was one the best decisions I've made for my skin. Alyx is seriously the best. She's extremely helpful and provided any information that I needed. She's also very quick at replying to questions through email. Before going to clear day, I would waste ton of money trying random products that I've seen on social media, which would result in making my skin worse. My skin was tired, sensitive, irritated, extremely dry, dull, and painful due to clogged pores and different types of pimples. I'm not very comfortable sharing my before pictures, but my after pictures are crazy! I've never been so in love with my skin. I was scared at first because everything I tried so far in the past can never managed my breakouts. I took the chance and decided to booked her anyway. I started my first session in March and my last session with her is September. Throughout the 6 months of seeing her and trusting her, my skin is surprisingly way more healthier than it was 6 months ago. I have to be patient and have to follow the regimen she recommended for me. My skin is very stubborn and dry but Janice never let my hopes up. She helped me achieved clearer skin and also helped controlled the dryness of my skin. You will have to constantly continue using the product she recommended for you to stay as clear as possible. It can get pricey but I say it's worth it! My skin is never this clear for the longest time. Of course it is impossible to get clear skin now because of all the small acne scars and blemishes that those horrible acnes left me with, but I am more confident in myself and can happily go out anywhere without wearing makeup! Let me just start off by saying that when I had acne I was miserable. I always had to have a full face of makeup, I couldn't leave the house without it and I always felt gross and ugly. I tried everything from simple products, natural products, medication, birth controls, etc. Some of those products worked of course, but I didn't want to be on meds in the long term. I read about this place once on yelp and thought let me give it a try. After all, they do say if you've tried everything and nothing worked then give them a go. Before I went through with it though I did a lot of research. They are very upfront about the whole process. I saw a negative review on here complaining about trying to sell them products. That's interesting. They will let you know beforehand that this is an investment. You will be paying money for your products and money for the treatments. It's no surprise. They go over everything during the consultation and let you know about everything step by step. You sign a paper committing to the process. It's your choice. I will admit that the beginning was quite an investment. In the first appointment I had to pay for all the new products plus the treatment. It was not cheap. But once my skin began clearing, I was only paying for the products and they are affordable and even cheaper than a lot of products found in beauty stores. Each session and all products are chosen based on each individual case. Whenever I would be using a product and it didn't work with my skin they would switch it out with another until my regimen was established. Once it was established I was able to clear my skin and now I rarely wear makeup! I feel like a whole new person and I am so happy with the results. Last, but not least, the customer service there is amazing! I've had two estheticians work with me and the last to work with me was Alyx. Let me just start by saying how happy I am that I have found Janice. After suffering acne for 10 years, and having tried everything, I was about to accept that acne is just something I'll have to live with until I grow out of it. But to be honest, deep down I always hoped there's a treatment out there that will work and if you are reading this review, I'm telling you this is it! I came across Janice's practice when I'm doing my routine search on the internet about acne treatments. I have seen many dermatologists in the past and tried all the expensive acne products and nothing worked. So naturally I was skeptical, but after reading all the positive reviews from local people I decided to just give this a try, and I'm so glad I did! After seeing Janice for a month I could see my skin improving dramatically. After 4 month I pretty much stopped having any new breakouts. 6 month later my skin is completely clear and the scars have all faded. I no longer need to go in and see her, just have to continue the routine on my own. No more taking antibiotics, no more side effects, just clear skin! (I know I almost sound like a commercial but it's so true...) The initial cost is a little high because you have to buy all the products but it's worth it. In the past 10 years I have tried so many products, I can honest say that I have never finished using a bottle of face wash or a jar of face cream before. I have had several estheticians in my life. Now in my early 40's I didn't feel it was fair to start seeing lines and still have acne at the same time! I have had acne for five years now and I've used just about every brand you could think of! I was seeing a dermatologist for about a year and still no luck with having clear skin. I am beyond grateful to have found Janice and the Clear Day Acne Clinic. My skin is finally clear thanks to Janice! I can't thank her enough for helping me with my skin!! I started getting acne in high school and it got much worse in college. I tried EVERYTHING to get it under control, but I could never find something that was effective or long-lasting. Aside from all the skin care products I tried (with little success), I went to multiple dermatologists, tried two different kinds birth control, went on all sorts of diets (vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free) and experimented with some questionable supplements, but I STILL had acne. I've been coming here since March and it's amazing! It does take a bit of time for the acne regimen to kick in but when it does the results are astonishing. I've struggled with finding the right products and makeup for my extremely oily/acne prone skin. Landis has given me great products and list of approved makeup. Janice is truly a miracle worker! Over the years I had tried Accutane (which I quit before completing the cycle due to being freaked out by the renderings of alien babies on the packaging as a reminder of what could happen if you got pregnant while taking Accutane), I tried many forms of birth control since I thought my acne was hormonal (which resulted in vomiting every month because every type I was prescribed was too strong), and of course I unsuccessfully tried every topical aid I found. What I needed was a guide and I couldn't possibly ask for a better guide than Janice!
