Canceled appointment + no one answers the phone + next opening in October I had an appointment at LaserAway in Fremont on Saturday, August 15. They canceled it. I called on the 15th and again on the 16th and no one picked up either day. I had to keep calling back just to get someone on the line so I could even try to reschedule. Scheduling at LaserAway is extremely frustrating. Once they've taken your money, getting an appointment can take 5-8 weeks. My appointment was confirmed multiple times, but I was notified just 45 minutes before that it was canceled because the nurse called out sick. The next available appointment was a month later. Poor scheduling, no flexibility, and disappointing customer service. You're better off going to local clinics where appointments are easier to get, prices are often lower, and your time is respected. Terrible. I signed up for a package and went about four times. The first three times went ok, I always waited at least 15 minutes past my appointment time to be seen. The last time I went, a new tech I had never seen called me in. It was standard for them to do a test spot; this tech ended up turning the machine so high she burned me. The first test she did I told her it hurt - A LOT - and then she "tested" another spot that hurt just as much. Attached is a photo of what my neck looked like a day or two after her tests. The top test spot did blister a bit. I called and emailed Laseraway about this and their response was that it was "just microcrusting" and that the tech would get more training. I asked for reimbursement for the unused remainder of my package and did speak with the manager at the time (Marissa) who then proceeded to ghost me after she told me she'd talk to the person in charge of financials. This all happened in July of 2024. I have yet to be reimbursed or contacted by anyone from the company other than a salesperson offering deals on more packages. Don't go here. read more

I submitted an online inquiry for lip filler and scheduled a phone consultation because I've never had any kind of filler, injections, or cosmetic procedures before. During the call, I explained that I like the size of my lips and was only interested in evening them out slightly. I asked if they offer half a syringe. The representative told me they only do full syringes, but that I could use half and would need to use the remaining half within a month. I was honest and explained that my hesitation was potentially paying for the other half and possibly not using it, which would feel like wasting both product and money. After I shared that concern, her tone completely changed. She became defensive and asked, "Well how much do you usually pay for half a syringe?" I had literally just told her I've never had filler before, so I replied that I haven't gotten filler in the past. She responded with "Yeah, that's right," in a very passive-aggressive tone and when I started to ask her if there were other alternatives for evening out my lips she then hung up on me. At first I thought the call may have disconnected, so I called back three separate times over the next 10-15 minutes and never got an answer. I also haven't heard back from anyone since. On December 4, 2025, I walked into the Fremont office to schedule a Thermage Treatment. I was told that if I paid for two treatments, I would get better results. I paid for two treatments for a total of $1,600.00. First treatment was on December 20, 2025. Nurse warned me that it would be painful at times which it was, but I figured as long as the results were visible in the end it would be okay. It has been five months since and unfortunately; I have not seen any difference. The website states six months for a difference, I don't foresee a change in the next month. On 5/25/28 I made and confirmed my second appointment for 5/29/26. On 5/26/26 I received a text saying there was an issue with my appointment for me to call (510) 402-1150. Instead of calling on 5/26/2026, I scheduled and confirmed a second appointment for 5/28/2026, I figured it was my error since the calendar was showing available appointments. On the same day I got a text saying there was an issue with my appointment, for me to call the above number. I called the number and a guy with no phone skills, with the voice of a dial tone, who sounded so depressed. A guy who I would pray never works for a public service or emergency hotline. I told him why I was calling, his reply was "I tried calling you," that was a lie, I did not have any missed calls or voicemails from him. Without a solid explanation he said the Fremont Office did not have any appointments available for the month of May or June. I thought for sure I was out of $800.00. I asked him what I was supposed to do to which he replied, go to a different office. He then started naming all offices. Now why would I drive two hours when the Fremont Office is 10 minutes from my home? Why not start with the closest offices. I asked him when the soonest appointment was for the Milpitas Office. He put me on a brief hold, came back and said let me call you back. He never called me back. I had to call the Milpitas Office to schedule the appointment myself. The lady who scheduled the appointment was totally different, friendly, with excellent phone skills. The next day I called back to get the name of the employee who never called me back and had the personality of a doorknob. One thing I found out for sure is that my phone number was clearly showing in the system. Every time I called, they sure knew my name, and every time I asked to get transfer to the Fremont Office my call would either drop, or I would get an answering machine. I tried that for about five times to no avail. I had to use a different phone to be able to get transferred to the Fremont Office and even then, the person who answered was very adamant on knowing who I was. When I was finally got transferred, the lady who answered at the Fremont Office was very nice, totally different. She was able to explain that they had recently lost a nurse and as a result the office had no appointments available to a while. I asked her for the name of the guy who had worked the day before and she went silent. I asked her again for his name, and once again she went silent. I asked her a third time for his name and she finally said "Daniel, his name is Daniel". I'm pretty sure Daniel was informed that I called because he called me a couple of hours later and left a voicemail. His message said, I'm calling to find out if you want numbing cream. If you do call the Milpitas Office don't call me. Now, if you are not calling to apologize or to provide any type of customer service, why even call. At my age, results are a priority. Customer Service is also at the top of my list. However, when you don't get any results and customer service is below satisfaction the Fremont Office needs serious attention. To some people $1,600.00 is not a lot of money for others, it is; it is all about how one gets treated. I am hopeful the Milpitas Office will deliver better Customer Service and Results. read more

Specifically the two amazing humans that were at the front desk January 23rd at 5:30-6:30ish-pm. My mom and I were coming to this location for all of 2024 for the Clear+ Brilliant facials once a month without fail. The nurses and technicians that assist and perform the treatments are so kind and genuine. They remember details about you and ask you about them when you come back. We loved coming to our monthly appointments. However, my mom purchased 12 additional treatments (6 for her, 6 for me) and they told her at her January appointment that they were unable to give her the service for the price she had paid for. Keep in mind, this is a few thousand dollars they take all at once. Not sure if management changed or what, but she's physically disabled and they called several times to confirm the appointment. It's extremely difficult for her to come to the location, so it would have been nice if they could have discussed this apparent issue over the phone. At the location, they wouldn't let my dad help her discuss the issue, saying that they could only discuss the issue with her. I feel like they were taking advantage of her limited language compared to my dad, who is more comfortable conversing in English. Also, the FTC says it's against the law to change the price of a service after an agreed upon price has been determined. I think my mom and I only had 2 treatments each left. Then we would have renewed for another set of treatments because up until this, we had been pleased with the service. My mom showed the corporate office the agreed upon invoice detailing that we paid for 12 treatments, and unfortunately corporate sided with the Fremont staff. I wouldn't trust this location or laseraway in general with your hard-earned money. It would be too much of a mess to take this to small claims court. My mom got her money back by contacting her bank. Sucks because we would have kept coming had it not been for this single interaction and experience. I set my appointment for 2pm and was seen at 2:15 at 2:30 the nurse said which light therapy treatment would you like so I told her , it lasted 2 mins after that she said we don't do masks anymore so I'm going to apply a vitamin C serum and by 2:35 I was out the door. The price for this is $199 definitely not worth it I would not recommend anyone coming here for a hydra facial, I did it because it was gifted to me for buying a laser package. I felt rushed , no difference from when I went in to when I came out. Ok my first time here I got lost. I couldn't find the suite so was late and they told me to reschedule! However I asked them to just laser sample a tiny patch on my face and they were able to squeeze me in since it only took like 30 seconds. I wanted to first see if I could tolerate it because I I have sensitize skin. It was fine and keep in mind they start low and go up on the intensity with each session With all laser away locations, I get greeted and helped quickly. They are strict for arrivals so don't come late as they will make you reschedule (which can be many weeks away if there no slots). You can cancel in advance without charge but up to 24 hrs before appointment. Came here for laser hair removal services. Met with different nurses. They were all kind and professional. They ask me how I felt with the results so far. Some gave me ice to numb areas that are more painful to me. They offer steroid / aloe Vera cream/ gel after for comfort as needed. I tell them to avoid my tattooed ombré brows and they sometime cover it up while Lasering. My sessions are only 15 mins to do Small areas like face and pits. It's great that it doesn't take long for me. If doing legs that would be considered a large area and can take much longer. Sessions get booked every 4-6 weeks depends on area I had really good results for my armpit hair removal. I used to have thick dark hair that would grow out fast every few days. I have light Asian skin so it happens to work well for lasering. It would be embarrassing and required frequent up keeping with shaving and epilating that I got tired of it. Now my hair is like 90% gone. I don't even shave really. If there's any here it's super thin now. TMI but I do kinda notice /can smell my BO more without the hair lol. I had a total of 8 sessions Now for the face, I wanted to get rid of my upper lip hair. I would say only 50-60% reduction by the end of my 10 sessions and thought I would have more gone. I still see hairs growing but it's thinner ( a big plus at least) and still need to shave/ micro plane off though. TBH a bit disappointed with results. Maybe my expectations were too high because the armpits had better results. They did say to me that facial hairs are more stubborn and you can't expect 100% hair to be eliminated. At this time, I am not included to do more facial services because it's pricey and not sure if another 1-2 session would make much of a difference (plus not sure if they will work around my lip blush). Tips If you're new to laser hair removal, make sure you understand the before and after care. First time I went I wasn't given the instructions to not pluck nor epilate them armpits for at least a few weeks/ month. You basically need hair root present for the laser to target. Also you need to plan around or avoid direct sunlight / sweating activities right before/ after laser. Also don't do a lip blush tattoo because they won't work within 1 inch of any tattoo ink so I had to wait until I finished all Laser sessions on face to finally get my lip blush In general I do want to comment that I dislike how LaserAway does not transparently show their prices for their services. They want a rep to call you and tell you the prices and then they'll tell you that they have a special deal or offer for you if you do a package. They say the more you add on the better the savings. I think it's annoying/ shady practice and you may find other laser places prices are much cheaper. However I chose LaserAway at the time because I saw good reviews online and noticed that it was a popular and reliable chain (and a friend said she went and has good experience with the brand). I believe i get grand fathered pricing for optional maintenance "package" for once a year or so lasering. I know it's their job to try to sell more services and packages. Fast Forward 3 years later and I have completed 11 of the 12 Clear and Brilliant treatments at Laser Away in Fremont. I have learned a lot in these past 3 years and one of those learning gems was that Clear and Brilliant DOES NOT help with patients who have atrophic/indented, acne scarring. Let me clarify, that true acne scarring refers to indentations in your skin (i.e. it looks like you have pock marks or holes in your skin). I spoke with 3 other doctors between 2020-2022 and all 3 agreed that Clear and Brilliant is not invasive enough to actually help with atrophic and indented scarring. I was also noticing not much of a difference. Unfortunately, when you go to medspas you are encouraged to use laser for indented scarring and well, it doesn't do much so you are in a vicious cycle. I also tried HALO laser in 2021 with a dermatologist and that didn't help either. Also, as a person with brown skin--you cannot use powerful lasers like Fraxel because that would burn your skin so they recommend the "gentle" version Clear and Brilliant. Between 2020-2022 I did a few other treatments and one of them actually did help improve the atrophic or indented scarring. In 2020, I did microneedling with PRP with a doctor that helped a little bit but not much. As mentioned before, in 2021 I tried HALO laser with a dermatologist and that didn't help either. **Finally, I did subcision in combination with RF microneedling in 2022 with a doctor and that helped the most! My skin has improved because of the subcision treatments and the RF microneedling in combination has helped, too.** Customer Service at Laser Away was fine. My only issue is that Clear and Brilliant is advertised as a treatment for Acne Scars (I see the ads on YouTube) and it is not. Scarring refers to indentations in the skin and C&B does not help with that. Dark spots/hyperpigmentation are not the type of serious scarring that I am referring too-- they are at the top layers of the skin and fade with time (esp. if you use appropriate products: tretinoin, vitamin C etc.) C&B is fine if you already have got good skin and would just like a "glow." Short story: Lasers will not help with indented scarring (especially if you have tan/brown skintone) specifically, Clear and Brilliant will not remove true acne scars (which are indents in your skin). This laser is not invasive enough to make any difference for indented scarring so you end up in a vicious cycle doing more and more treatments but seeing very little to no improvement. Subcision (in combo with RF microneedling), however, helped a lot with my indented scarring which I completed with a doctor elsewhere. I would NOT recommend Clear and Brilliant laser for acne scar removal. If you have true indented scars on your face --then, most lasers, including this one will not do much except hurt your wallet. I wish someone had told me this back in 2019. read more

I dont like giving 1 star/bad reviews. But I think people should know that they have other options and can get a better experience at other locations. I've been to San Jose and Palo Alto Laser Away which ive had amazing experiences with. Their front desk staff are always very friendly and accommodating: they will ask if i want water, they will ask if i want help with the numbing cream, they will set up the room so that way once im done applying the numbing, I have a place to sit with a back rest. At Fremont, none of this happened. At other locations, the nurses are very knowledgeable and kind: they start with removing the numbing cream entirely (fremont nurse did not and i know because i am still numb in the area that she didnt remove it 4 hours later), they are gentle and meticulous and always asking if id like a break (fremont nurse was not, she rushed through entire process - it was fast and painful), they make sure they get every surface of your face and will ask you to tuck your lips to get the upper/lower lip area evenly (fremont nurse did not, i had to do it on my own accord - really made me feel like shes rushing and didnt care), they will answer all of your questions to their best ability and if they dont know they'll find out (fremont nurse couldn't answer if i can use my own vitamin C, she said "as long as its not an acid" by definition, vitamin C is ascorbic acid which they put on your face after every session - i just wanted to use my own product), after theyre done they place a vitamin C mask on you and tell you to keep it there for about 10 min or so and they'll leave some supplies for you to dab your face afterwards (she put it on my face, started texting, and then after 5 min removed it and said im done. i had to ask for some time to put on aquaphor etc.) I got clear and brilliant, this is I think my 5th time getting it. Fremont is the closest location to me. So I was excited to be able to go there. But i'm concerned that the staffs' lack of care will result in cellulitis. If they were this uncaring then I cant trust that they are caring enough to take proper steps to ensure the safety of their products and equipment. If you can go to a different location, I highly recommend that you do so. You will have a better customer service experience and may also be safer. read more

The front desk was nice, but I want to share my experience with the Hydra-facial procedure performed by a nurse named Crystal and the response from the corporate representative. LaserAway charged $230 for the Hydra-facial, which was a gift from a family member. When I arrived at the facility, I waited 10 minutes for my service, and the entire procedure lasted only 15-20 minutes, felt rushed, and had no noticeable impact on my skin. When I raise my concerns, the corporate representative was unsympathetic and only offered discount on any packages that I buy in the future, which are quite expensive. I made a last minute appointment change to this location and am SO GLAD I did! Staff was professional and I did not have to wait long after arriving. Unfortunately I have tried other Laser Away locations and haven't had the best experience so I am happy I tried out the Fremont location! Pricilla was professional, patient, and helped explain the whole process and make sure she explained everything she was doing. Will definitely keep coming back to this location! I'm currently doing the laser hair removal and honestly love the results and my interactions with the staff. There's a definite reduction in my treatment spots, some places more than others, but the nurses previously have been very willing to adjust the strength of the lasers to get me closer to my goal. Big shout out to Crystal who did my treatment today. She is so sweet and makes great conversation. While we still have fun chatting, she is always sure to walk me through the procedure, highlight any pre or post treatment care, and offer her expertise for any questions that I have. The staff in general do a great job of creating a welcoming environment. Due to one of the nurses being out, my appointment had to be rescheduled, so they offered a complementary laser facial to go with my next appointment. Amazing experience every time I come here! I have been getting laser hair removal and lip fillers done here. Whenever I walk in I am greeted by Angela who is amazing! She remembers the smallest details about me and our last conversations. Makes it like a very genuine relationship. Kari is my favorite nurse here. She knows what she's doing and she is very detailed and patient. She is very good at answering all questions. She takes her time too especially with laser hair removal (I been to a different place and I am in and out by 5 mins cus I feel rushed). A robe is also given for privacy instead of being naked and out of your comfort zone. Will highly recommend this place to anyone!!! I paid for six Clear + Brilliant treatments, but have yet to receive the final three treatments. I requested a refund (several times) for the remaining treatments, which have not been provided to me. I was not happy with the service provided by Laseraway (did not see any meaningful changes to my skin) or with the company's scheduling or Customer service - which was faulty and sent me incorrect appointment dates/times. The company has not returned my money, but I was told to call the credit card company and dispute the charge, as I mentioned, I paid Laseraway with an Ally Payment plan. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau (complaint #21702169) as well, and Laseraway has yet to respond. It's been a month. read more

This was my usual Laseraway location for about a year but after my previous experience I just don't see myself going back. I have been very consistent with my Botox injections and get about the same amount everytime. I went in on 12/1 to get my usual Botox done. I expressed to the injector what I usually do and how I like my forehead, we both discussed and agreed I like a pretty frozen face and don't prefer any movement in the forehead. She marked me, left the room to get the syringes and was gone for about 10 minutes which I found strange. 2 weeks later I am still able to move my head and have very visible wrinkles... luckily they had an appointment for 12/15. It was the same injector and once again had a redo talk of the convo we had earlier. She then injected me again with more than the same amount of units as usual. So now my forehead should have over 50 units of tox in my forehead. It's been more than 2 weeks since then and the results are fine... I'm still not entirely frozen or have results like I usually do. Once I am done with my Botox bank I will start getting injected elsewhere. read more
