If I could give this place a million stars I would. Late 2024, I got double eyelid surgery and I had to get steroid injections for scarring. Unfortunately, my skin had an extremely poor reaction to it and I got acne like I never had before. My self esteem plummeted and I didn't want to leave my house due to my skin condition. Tried literally every product under the sun and nothing ever worked. I decided to give this place a shot, and it's incredible how quickly the results are. You can see photos from my first appointment in June to a few days after to the last week of the month. Lina spent so much time in crafting a dedicated plan for me and she has extensive knowledge of Chinese medicine/practice. I go once a month now for facial/extractions and every three months for microneedling. I barely break out now and my skin has never looked better! I've been coming here to see Karen for YEARS, and cannot believe I haven't written a review yet! Years ago, I had been struggling a lot with adult acne, but was a little cautious and wary of prescription creams & medication. I had also tried various recommended skincare from Sephora and other beauty influencers on Instagram, but none of them seemed to work. On a whim, I asked my skincare-addict friend if she had any recommendations, and she said her friend had gone to this place in Fremont that does acne extractions that she spoke highly of. Before this, it hadn't even crossed my mind to see an aesthetician for my acne. Karen was my aesthetician, and she performed a manual acne extraction + other hydrating treatments afterwards. I'm not going to sugar coat it, the extraction HURTS! But it's only in the moment of the extraction, it doesn't keep hurting afterwards. Karen was as gentle as she could be, but also meticulous. I felt as if she was digging into every one of my pores (in a good way)! After years of struggling with acne, I decided to bite the bullet and just trust the process with Karen. Instead of other facial places, I don't have to pick and decide for myself which treatment I want -- Karen takes in the current state of my face with every visit and suggests the treatment that she thinks is the best. It took a little while to fully see the results, but it was so worth it! After a few months, I already started see a reduction in my normal acne. In around year or two, I not only barely had any acne, my skin was so much healthier, and I swear my pores seemed to have shrunk! This is my very honest review. I have acne problem since young age. Tried many different things to improve my skin and scar problems, but so far, only this place shows great improvement. You will see results in 3-4 treatments, better after a year or two. Don't expect to see result with only 1-2 treatments, specially if you have with scan problems. I have had a history of pretty bad acne; I am prone to cystic acne and have really oily skin. I've seen a dermatologist, but antibiotics prescribed made my acne worse and made me feel miserable. I wanted a more natural method of managing my acne, so I started coming to Beauty Legend for facials since last July and my skin has improved immensely. My mom, sister, and I all share the package where you purchase 10 facials, and it's worth it every time. I can't praise Beauty Legend's service and quality of work enough. Every time I come in for a facial, my esthetician Karen, tailors the session to exactly what my skin needs (which varies for each visit!) and is extremely thorough in cleaning my pores out. Even though the extraction is pretty painful, Karen is extremely gentle throughout the entire process. The entire facial is a relaxing experience and after every facial, my skin feels hydrated and healthy and my body feels rejuvenated (Karen gives a mini massage and I've napped several times haha). Besides the quality facial, I also appreciate all the beauty/skin advice and recommendations that Karen generously offers. I have always been embarrassed about my acne and didn't really know how to manage it, but she is kind and patient when addressing my concerns and super easy to talk to. On quality of work alone, this place gets 5 stars. I have mixed skin which, for me, means days of dry skin and days of oil skin. I'm also prone to blackheads and whiteheads. I hadn't had a facial in 4 months when I went so my face was in need of some deep cleaning. Oh boy did they clean. They were very thorough and got basically everything out. Just a heads up, they do all of their extractions manually so be prepared for that (I teared up a lot). They also added some extra treatments because my skin was so dry. For service, they were great. My only critique is that I can hear other people's conversations while I was getting my facial. I'm not going to dock a star because I'm so impressed with their quality of work. Beauty Legend is part of my beauty maintenance regimen and once I found them (and I had tried many, many places in the bay area) I stopped looking because their expertise is really the best in the bay area. The girls solved the decade old one and called my attention to the one that I was so oblivious to but would continue to spread if not contained. 4 treatments in! ***Full disclosure, I cut out gluten and dairy out of my diet a week prior. While that might be a a huge contributor of my face clearing up, my face was majorly congested from years of build up.*** Beds and blankets are super comfy and Karen's mini-massage will lull you into a false sense of security but don't fall for it because GAAAAADAM! Your 1-3 treatments will be the worst. Lina will have no mercy on your pores. I was tearing-up, sweating and kicking off the blankets. You'll come outta there like the saddest tomato. Your family and friends will be horrified to what you WILLINGLY allowed to happen to face. But its like the old saying goes...It has to get bad before it gets good! The texture of my skin is almost baby-butt-smooth (get there!) In addition to the extractions, Lina will give you mask treatment depending on the condition of your skin. GUYS! They use top of the line products that you see at high end bougie spas. I especially love the 'Hollywood Peel' that she does for me! That sh*t ain't cheap. Its $300+ anywhere else but Lina include it into my facial. My first 2 treatments were a week apart. As of now, go to BL every other week. Its been a 8 weeks in and my skin never looked so good. Also, my results were so good that my mom and sister started coming here too! Its a family affair! TIP- I would recommend taking aspirin (Charles always has them handy). I've been seeing Vivian the last few weeks trying to regulate my skin. All this time I thought I had combination skin only to discover that I actually have dry skin. With Vivian's help, my skin has been looking much brighter than before. We tried using a few different types of machines to brighten my face and to help my skin absorb more moisture and the facials have been working well for me. I've been very happy with the results after each facial and my face is looking much better with each appointment. Vivian tailors her facials towards your skin and will make suggestions to help you improve your routine at home. For me, she told me to drink more water and to cut down on my tea intake and I have been able to see results. Obviously now knowing I actually have dry skin, I have been able to change up my night time routine. After my first appointment, I went back after a week for another facial and then again after 3 weeks and my next appointment is in another 3 weeks. Hopefully, I can space my appointments out a little further if my skin has improved a lot. This process for me has definitely not been cheap because I have been visiting so often the last few weeks but once I'm in a better place with my skin, I'm hoping to see her less frequent because honestly, it adds up! With that being said, Beauty Legend is way cheaper than anything American like Burke Williams and they do an amazing job. Extractions hurt, not a lot, but they're not comfortable of course. When has beauty ever been pain-free?! Asian facials are nothing compared to American places where they lather your skin with creams and send you home with hardly any extractions. So just be aware that you may leave with some very slight irritation that should go away in the next 1-2 days. Overall, Beauty Legend has been my all time favorite place to visit for facials. Every salon basicly start off with cleaning, remove blackheads...etc. You look great on the first couple of days but your skin still doesn't improve. This treatment here is a little different. You entire face will look red and swallon the first couple of days but you can see the dramatic result within a week. Lina is an expert removing blackheads and minimize large pores. She is known as " the blackhead killer". Vivan and lina is very patient and professional. This is one of those treatments.... no pain no game. It is totally worth it. The first 3 treatment is painful because lina will go through and extract all of your blackheads. They use italitian products. Price: I got the package. The package is 10 session. Each session is about $90. It is about 2 to 3 hours per session. Which include 3 types of treatment. Example, deep cleaning, whiten, led lights and photoshoot light. I think it is a excellent deal because a basic facial cost about $100 without any special facial treatment. A single treatment is $100-$180. My cheek is dry but it is not absoring any product. I spended a lot money on products. Nothing works. Under the microscope, we found white heads underneath my skin causing the problem. After 1 treatment, my dead skin is falling off. (A week)My face looks brighter and pores looks smaller. I really like using the machines because it is very effective. Most salon will charge you about $200 per treatment using their machines. Usually, each session includes led light and photoshoot treatment. If you needed a long term treatment, the package is an amazing deal. Don't let the pricing on their website scare you off. I was referred to Beauty Legend and tried it out for the first time today. Although I was skeptical before, I came out very impressed and pleased. Lina did an amazing job deep cleaning my skin and removing all the "gunk". I hadn't had a facial in over a year and she spent quite a bit of time with me. Have you seen a 210 man on a facial table? Ya, that's me. The dark pores (or black heads or whatever you would call them) around my nose been bothering me since I was a teenager, so i went there and give it a shot.
