Wow, I just realized that it's been almost 10 years to the day since my first review! I can honestly say this is the only beauty center I have returned to consistently. Just went last week - Christine is still amazing (especially with the way she gently does extractions, which is no easy feat), the space is still gorgeous and despite rising prices, theirs is still extremely reasonable (highly recommend their offered combination services). What I really appreciate is that the owner ensures the ladies performing the services (they have four working there now - so proud of them!) have access to an ever-evolving line of products, machinery and techniques. Bit of a background on me: I am a woman of color with oily skin and pores on the larger side. Christine's expert services help me keep this at bay, especially what I began going for - microdermabrasion. Cannot recommend their version enough - the new machine they have is both thorough and soothing. Bonus: plenty of parking! The plaza they are in is thoughtfully designed, despite there being quite a few businesses. Second bonus: they are around the corner from the World Gourmet Buffet and a couple of tea shops, so if you are hungry or want to grab boba/Bubble Tea, you can do both! read more

I brought my 14 yr old son in here because his Acne has been getting out of hand. I figured a thorough extraction and some TLC would go a long way. These ladies were GREAT! They made my son feel very welcome and provided him with a lot of education that he could use moving forward. They took their time - almost 2 hours - and even added extra services for us to try. Wow, how have I not know about this place for so long??? My original aesthetician was in Cupertino but she closed after Covid, so my skin has been in dire need. I did start a real skincare routine since then but still needed regular maintenance (as I have large pores that get congested easily). I tried a couple of other places in the area, and none are "Asian style" where they truly cleanse the skin so it can absorb product well. The outside is unassuming, but the inside is bright and updated, furnished, and not dusty! And, it is larger than it seems, the building extends further back. The restroom is large and clean and welcoming, why do we review restrooms, I guess I feel it's a sign of good ownership? Now, a forewarning for people with pet allergies, there were 2 kittens there (honestly, I love cats and 2 people in my family are allergic so I was ecstatic), and apparently, someone has said a dog has been in there, but I still believe they are still very clean. Christine did not rush my treatment, but she was a little more casual than someone counting minute by minute; but it was a quality treatment! Extractions hurt, a lot, but that could have been because I haven't had a facial in a while and had been recently neglecting my skin due to the stress of life. It's not one of those facials where the steam blows away into the industrial fan because they are located in an industrial building with high ceilings and no walls and your skin was never hydrated at all to begin with and someone just slaps on product after product and with the gentlest of pressure...... sorry, I just don't like those types of facials - iBeauty Center is the opposite of that as I need intensive cleaning. But, if you want that type of facial, then iBeauty is not for you. Christine even offered to show me the extractions AND the microderm filter afterward lol. FYI I happened to call the same day for a walk-in appointment. Christine speaks Mandarin and Cantonese, but also English as well. Came to this place for a Microdermabrasion because I saw that it was reasonably priced. This place will be my new regular! Enjoyed the atmosphere of the clinic and loved the decor they have! Staff were extremely eager to assist me and get me situated. Jennifer offered me awesome service and Christine did an amazing facial massage and my skin feels amazing. Feel so much more smooth to the touch and looks glowing. Whole experience was phenomenal and will recommend it to anyone looking to look and feel better! Christine and the gal that works on Thursdays are really good at extractions--even if i come in with a smooth feeling face they always prove me wrong! Christine is especially thorough with microdermabrasion and will do multiple sweeps on your face. If I come in for just a deep cleansing facial it takes about 1hr 45ish and if I do it with microdermabrasion it takes about 2hrs--the face massages seem to last longer when I only get a facial on my visit. I also like that they don't put excessive amounts of sunscreen on my face at the end where it makes that sunscreen film feeling..you know the one I'm talking about lol. I'm a total commitment-phobe and love that walk-ins are welcome! Chanel, the french bulldog that hangs out in the reception area, is soooo cute she's always dressed cutely and is super friendly. Sometimes there's no one out in front (I don't think they have a receptionist-the esthetician's just come out during lulls) but there's a bell you can ding on the table to let them know you're there. It's kinda annoying that they hardly answer the phone the first time I ring, but they always call back later even when I leave no message (i think they use a cell phone or something with caller ID). Plus, since I can just walk in without an appointment I guess it's not really a big deal. The package prices are super competitive here--I had purchased a package for the deep cleansing facial back in December and had received 2 free microdermabrasion as a special offer. I liked it so much after i used the microderm treatments up I wanted to buy a Groupon deal for it--they told me that I could purchase a package of 3 treatments at the Groupon price ($135), since it was actually better for them if i bought in the store--Groupon apparently takes 50% of whatever price they charge on the website. read more

I first started coming here for a bi-annual 'treat yoself' facial 3 or so years ago, but last year around this time I started suffering from horrible cystic hormonal acne all over my cheeks, chin and jawline and it wasn't going away. I started seeing Christine and Elly once a month and it made such a difference. A year later my skin is in the best shape it's been probably since I hit puberty lol. This place is not a fancy luxurious spa, but I keep coming back because I trust them to recommend treatments based on the current condition of my skin and they haven't ever tried to push unnecessary treatments or products on me. If you get facials on the regular, I'd recommend going with one of their package deals. Compared to a high end spa, their prices are extremely reasonable and the treatments not only are relaxing but I really trust that they are making a difference in my skin. I came here for a dermabrasion treatment. It was really nice and they did a great job! The workers were very accommodating and made me feel comfortable. My face looked great afterwards! The only reason I cut a star was for aesthetical reasons. The room looked like a doctor's office and the clock kept ticking so it was more irritating than relaxing. NEVER EVER buy their Groupon deal. I have been trying to schedule an appointment for a while now. The number they have advertised does not have a mailbox and they never answer the phone. Other times I have received a recording saying something like 'The phone is either powered off or not available'. I just got a new recording from Verizon saying the call's party is not available. WTH!! I have messaged them through their website with zero response. It has been EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!! I have no idea how the other reviewers managed to get an apt. This place is great! I bought a Groupon for the microdermabrasion treatment. Unfortunately, it doesn't include a facial--you have to buy that separately. Either way it was totally worth it (about $100 all together)!!!! I've always had nice skin, not perfect but fairly nice. As of the past few years I've noticed my skin start to change, getting very dry , rough spots, clogged pores and acne. I got obsessed with trying new creams, cleansers and masks...but nothing worked. My skin would just dry out and look rough and old. I decided to get my first microdermabrasion treatment, and added a classic European facial with it. The facial included blackhead extraction, something I've never tried. It was a bit painful but pain is beauty right? Christine was super sweet and helpful. She guided me through the whole process. Everything was so calm and relaxing, with the exception of the blackhead extraction. After the extraction she used blue light therapy which kills the bacteria in your pores and helps your skin heal. It felt like little zaps on your face, nothing painful. I will admit my face got sensitive and a little swollen from all the blackheads she took out. The rest of the facial was great and hydrating. The products she used were awesome! So many creams, serums and masks. Now on to the treatment. The microdermabrasion literally transformed my skin! After the microdermabrasion treatment Christine showed me the filter...I couldn't believe my eyes! After 26 years of never having a facial I saw I had many layers of dead skin. The crazy part was that I never noticed because as far as I knew I'd wash my face everyday. I was shocked but felt the difference! My skin felt like a baby's bottom. It took my skin about a week to notice results. My acne totally cleared up, my skin holds moisture a lot more and it looks so much younger and healthy! I totally recommend this place! Always go for service with Joey. She is the best! I had never had a facial before, and she put me at ease, explaining everything. I had bought a Groupon for microdermabrasion, and she did it perfectly while also adding blackhead extraction and facial. Although the extraction hurt a bit, Joey did prepare me for it by explaining why each step was essential. She was also able to fit me in, when I contacted her last-minute on a very tight deadline, so props for that too. My one comment here would be that the walls are very very thin, so when another client came in, it was much less "tranquil" as I could hear the other female client talking loudly in mandarin. Joey is one of the owner here. She's very professional and thorough. I have problems with blackheads on nose and chin and an occasional breakout. I've been going to Joey 1-2 times a month for deep cleaning facial since last year. I'm happy to see my skin is getting better and better. Unlike some other facial shops, Joey never tried to sell me anything I don't need. She analyses your skin needs and provides the best service. She also give recommendation on your diet that are good for your skin. Joey was recommended by a friend of mine last year. I got the Groupon deal from them for a microdermabrasion and it was amazing! I bought the deal on Thursday, called and made an appointment for the upcoming Saturday. All personnel were very polite and friendly and they explained exactly what is included in the treatment before. I didn't feel they wanted to push for extra treatments, which I really liked. Carmen did the microdermabrasion and she was very gentle and I love how her fingers massaged the creams on my face at the end. I also got a collagen mask after the treatment. I went in once so far. Yes. They do pressure you to purchase more or do more expensive treatment but I didn't mind because they offer discount if you buy more at once. I liked my first experience. She gave me a good facial massage and extracted black head ms and white heads. My skin felt very smooth after. I bought 5 sessions for $250 which is cheapest it can be. Where can you find $50 facial anywhere? The place I used to go charge $100 now so I was looking for a new place. Well let me tell you, it's definitely a hidden gem in a developing plaza, non-pretentious, quiet, and clean. Can be a bit pricey for the facials, but I think and hope will be worth it. Now on to the facial, My esthetician was Joey-she is the sweetest and most efficient with her work. My first facial with her was great, and let me tell you I was a bit nervous. She explained the process of the facial, i told her my past experiences and she worked with that. Extractions-HURT like a ....! But I can honestly say my skin has definitely improved, feels much smoother, less congested, none to little breakouts only after a week. My second Facial (yesterday), was even better, still had to do some extractions and she even added in some extra treatments (Blue light therapy, can't remember the others). I found this place by accident and what a happy accident. I called in to see if the could accommodate me same day and they were able to! Joey is amazing. I have had microdermabrasion before so I knew what to expect. She was very gentle. Even the extractions were not painful. I waited a few days to see how my face was going look. Awful customer service! I went in for a treatment and asked if I could have a basic facial instead of the microdermabrasion I had a group on for. They pointed to the deluxe facial which I thought meant I could get a better facial since the microdermabrasion was more expensive. I received my treatment and afterward they charged me for BOTH. When I explained the miscommunication they yelled at me in the store and could not get a hold of their manager. They explained that if I didn't pay the extra $68 dollars the woman who provided my services would have to. I paid and have called and texted the owner multiple times with no return. I've had problem skin since I was in my early 20's and I get facials a few times a year, more often when I can afford it. So I'm not a newbie. Having recently moved to Fremont, I was looking for a local esthetician. My facial was WONDERFUL: everything I wanted/needed. Christine was fantastic; thorough, communicated everything she was doing and although the extractions were no picnic, they were necessary and long overdue. My skin has never looked or felt better. If I could, I'd give 5 stars for Christine! I'm deducting two stars because of the atmosphere but my real issue was with noise. When I arrived there was no music playing to drown out the sounds the loudly ticking clock, which another reviewer also noted. Luckily they did put some soothing music on about 10 minutes in. But the music couldn't mask the loud beep from the hall of what sounded like a microwave that went off every 15 minutes or so. But what the most distracting was the noise from the waiting room which carried right through the thin walls. My room was the first one off of the waiting room and the doorbell chimed a loud "bing-bong (pause) bing-bong" every time someone entered or stood in front of the sensor. Before I left I figured there must have been 40 people in the waiting room and was surprised to find it almost empty. While I relaxed with a soothing mask for 10 minutes an argument broke out in the waiting room and I heard every freaking word. I could also hear the constant chatter of the staff. While I wasn't expecting the relaxing spa atmosphere of the Clairmont, this was not ok for a $100+ facial. My advice to the staff: turn off that freaking doorbell, invest in some sound-cancelling machines for the rooms, and advise the staff/patrons to keep their voices down while in the waiting room. read more

I came here for an eyelash perm. There was a dog in the other room unleashed. At some point my eyelashes were glued shut closed. I cannot see. The dog comes to my room and jumps near to me. I am horrified. I am afraid if I open my eyes I might pull my eyelashes. I called out to Christine then she took the dog away. Why would was my room door open when you know your dog is unleashed???? My friend introduced me to this skin care place and I was unsure if it was reliable on improving my skin because it was a new place. Usually new opening skin cares do not deliver it's treatments as top notch as the ones that have been serving customers for years. When I walked in, I was greeted nicely by Christine. She quickly got me in a room where I can relax and wait for the treatment to begin. It was a great, clean, and relaxing environment that puts you in the mood. As the treatment began, I loved the sensation, and already knew the experience was going to be great. The massage of the face, neck, and shoulders was perfect. It wasn't the same as other skin cares. The strength applied to my areas wasn't too light, or too hard. The pressure Christine applied onto me was comfortable. Her hands were very soft and smooth, the ones everyone is dying for to give that kind of treatment. Her movements were unique and gave me a lot than what I expected. At this point I already know that Christine is an expert, and has definitely had training before. After the facial, she was much more different from what the other skin cares do, which push you to buy unnecessary products and packages. I really did love the facial, it was amazingly enjoyable. I had bought 10 more sessions and she gave me an extra session! at the end, I then realized that she was one of the owners of the skin care.
