The first time she did it it was around June / July 2024 and that turned out great she said that my hair would have to be redone once it grows out in about 3-6months I opted to wait the longest period namely six month. Me not knowing anything about hair. It took her word for it. That was the worst advice ever. I went in to see her in January of 2025 for a touch up. And this is where disasters started !! She told me it would be $200., If she bought the product as she was struggling to find the product. However, I found the product easily and I ended up buying the product which was $85 out of my pocket and I was still charged the $200. So basically, I paid $285. My hair was so extremely over processed, she allowed her non licensed assistant who does not know how to do a rperm to take the primary in doing my curly perm, which a perm in general is a very delicate process. I reached out to Mabell multiple times I sent her various photos and videos of my hair, showing the damage and the breakage and the fish hooks. It truly broke my heart that she offered me no solution. Or even responded. I am now going to another hairdresser. Who's helping me repair my hair. I just want accountability. This is a woman that has been doing my hair 4 years. I've been working on growing my hair for several years now., especially losing my hair after being put on cancer medication's, I've been growing it steadily for the past four years and now I have to start that journey over again. And I couldn't get as much as a text message. She left me on read multiple times. I'm deeply disappointed because up until this point we've had a really good relationship. Not to mention, my hair is in shambles, and I am forced to wear braids Which I normally don't do! The whole point of the curly perm was for me to wear my natural hair more and manage it more easily. I figured the pain might be worth it-- while the lady was really rough on my skin, I trusted that she knew what she was doing. After the microdermabrasion, my face was red in all different areas. I figured it would heal after some time. Days, weeks have gone by and there has been more scars on my face than prior. I'm really unhappy about the results. I was reluctant about posting photos of my face but I dont even care anymore. The following Friday I left them a voicemail, asking for some helpful advice on what I could do or a potential refund. It's been over 2 weeks and I still haven't heard back. I truly hope there is good reason behind why I was treated in such a manner. (Might be in a different order) 1st photo: Photo of my face while I sat in the waiting room. 2nd photo: Immediately after the session I went to the bathroom. My face had never felt as abused as it did that day. 3rd photo: 2-3 days later. Scars that never existed prior to the session, begin dto appear. My skin felt like it had been scraped against concrete. It no longer felt soft, it was rough and gritty. Today, it's been more than 2 weeks and these scars still remain.
