Wow! Got a Groupon for this place, and I was not disappointed. It was my first time getting extensions, and Anne did a great job of helping me feel relaxed and told me how to care for my lashes. Since it was my first time, I asked for natural looking extensions, nothing too dramatic. She showed me the different lengths and curls of the lashes. Anne even let me feel the difference between their regular and premium lashes. I stumbled upon this place in search for microblading and lash lift services. The photos looked promising so I booked my very first lash extensions, and I was blown away by the amazing transformation. I started with the basic set in medium length and curl, and that added nice volume and length. Then I upgraded to a premium silk lashes and they feel so much softer and lighter but might need to go up to a classic set next time. They appear more natural as well. Dean was super gentle and very patient. It's surprisingly therapeutic that I nearly fall asleep every time. I fear I would doze off and snore one day! I'm used to chatty environment. My first session of lash lift was with Jin, she did great, loved not having to curl my lashes every morning. The actual location was a bit derelict, but I did not care since the actual lift is cheaper than most other places. My last session of lash lift was with Andy, although my lashes are lifted, the road to getting there was a rough one. Andy got the perm solution in my eye, to the point where I was actively telling him it stings. Then he proceeds to excessively wipe everything off, to the point where the delicate skin around my eye was burning. When Andy was taking off the taping after the lift, he pulled it off like a biore strip, exactly not how you are supposed to treat undereye area. Andy seems like a man to that has no experience or business doing women's procedure. I'm sitting here seven hours later applying cream and ointment to my eye and it still stings. I have had my eyelash extensions done by Jin and they were wonderful! They look very natural and I couldn't be happier about how they turned out. I did it right before my vacation and they survived at the beach- jet skiing and all. It was my first time so I wasn't sure how they would do but they still look perfect. After having a full set in South Philly almost completely fall off in just a few days, I came to Jin. I thought the fall out was due to the summer heat and I was afraid it would happen again. I was wrong! Jin saved my lashes. Each lash was placed so precisely and when it was time for me to go back to Jin for my refill I was blown away by the lash retention I had! She finds the fine balance between using enough glue to hold and not to much glue to make sure your lashes don't stick together. Jin's the real deal. My only complaint is pricing - not bad for special occassions but for regular maintenance I have a hard time justifying it into the beauty budget. You wont be disappointed with the look. read more

I found Lash Mate on a Groupon and wanted to get lashes for my wedding. They recommended coming a few weeks prior to ensure I wasn't going to have a reaction. (I didn't). They were very friendly and gave me the ability to choose the length and shape (not sure if that is standard since I was a newbie). I am going back tomorrow for another refill! I tried some others over the years but the other lash artists would apply too much glue which would leak into my eye and cause them to be red for days. Or some of the lashes would fall off after one or two days. I never had this issue with Jin. She always applied them precisely and beautifully in a consistent manner. When I booked my appointment with lash mate, I was expecting Jin to be my lash artist but instead was booked with Dean. I was a bit worried. However he was amazing as well! He applied precisely and quickly. He was very observant too because the moment the glue started bothering my right eye he started dabbing to wipe it away. I've been coming here every 2 weeks like clockwork for the past 3 months and I am hooked. I will say I have nothing to compare my experiences to as this has been the first and only place I have gone to for lashes, but I love it here! The space is clean and comfortable, and they give a spa like experience with soothing sounds playing. I fall asleep every time! Dean does my lashes and he does an excellent job. Awesome Awesome Awesome! Before I bought a Groupon for this place I called to see if they had any openings that day. They did indeed and was told they would honor the price so I didn't even have to buy a Groupon. They confirmed my appt for later that day through text mesg. I was able to reply with a question I had about wearing contacts and got an immediate response. That was nice it's an actual person and not computer generated. It's located across from Friendly's, In a building on the 2nd floor. After I picked my desired length, curl, and texture of lashes, I went into a small room and laid down on the table. There is a another table in the room and someone was getting her lashes done. It's not awkward or uncomfortable in any way. They gave me a blanket and for the next 45min I just relaxed. I read online to bring ear buds to past the time but most people fall asleep. I was so relaxed I was nodding off in and out. Before I knew it 45min had passed and it was reveal time. I LOVED IT!! They make me look more awake and so pretty. He did a great job. The entire experience was great! You won't be disappointed. You do need refills every two weeks. Every 5th visit is free. I've gotten my lashes done at several different parlors and Jin has been my favorite so far! She gives special attention when recommending lash curls and lengths that are suited for your eye shape while keeping in mind the look you want. I myself have one monolid and one doublelid so the monolid side tends to push my eyelashes downward, but she gave me 2 different lash curl styles for each eye that make my eyes look more symmetrical.
