My first time visiting LuX Lab was 2/17/18 and it was a great experience. I was styled by Monique and she did an amazing job on my hair. I loved the steam treatment and it was the first time i had ever had this done to my hair. Monique was able to explain to me what my hair needed and the purpose of the products used on my hair. Kay was very friendly. I did not get any services from her but she explained to me her role at the Lab. She does body waxing, lashes, brow tinting etc. her lashes looked really great, and what actually sold me on considering getting mine done was that she had her own lashes done. (I never had lashes before) The owner is serious about her business and customer service. You can tell she does not play with this area. She teaches all of her stylists the proper techniques for styling and hair care. While I was there she was planning for all of her staff to take additional courses to perfect their crafts. To me that says a lot because she is investing in her staff and in her company. Everyone who works for her will be very knowledgeable in hair care to her expectations. A week later my hair is still shiny and looking great. I would recommend Monique to help with your hair care needs. I recommend the overall salon because it was peaceful, no wait for service, fresh fruit water, and the ambiance was great! I had the best experience here tonight! It was my first time ever getting a Brazilian (which I've been too afraid to get for years) Kat did an incredible job, not only making it look great, but also making me feel so comfortable having my most private area exposed to her (we are in a completely private room so that is also a huge PLUS!) she is so professional at making the worst of it feel like nothing! It was way way better than I expected. She also did an eyelash lift and tint to make my thick kinda dull lashes look even better than with mascara. The process didn't seem to take long and all through it we just chatted, which made it go by in flash and feel like I was just chatting with a friend! Definitely would recommend if you've always wanted a Brazilian but we're too afraid or any waxing .. and the eyelashes.. man!! I'm writing this review for Zee, who has been my loctitian for the last two years or so, and has been THE BEST THING to EVER happen to my edges (and CLEARLY the best new thing to happen to LuX Lab since her transition to their facility this year!). Zee has a patience and skill with natural hair styling and hair health that far exceeds her peers in this area. AND...her ability to create unique styles for special events is BEYOND (BELIEVE ME: 9 times out of 10, your PRESENT stylist? Has NO IDEA what they're doing...but Zee DOES!). Twice I've made the unfortunate experience of either going elsewhere or doing my own hair when I couldn't make my schedule work with hers; in both cases, my busted sides and frizzy ends quickly reminded me why I will simply NEVER want nor need another stylist. Since the very first time that I have decided to trust Zee with my hair I was not disappointed at all. I saw how well she takes care of my friends hair and decided that it was time to ask someone to do the same for mine because I don't quite know how. I've decided to ask Zee(!) Her personality was also apart of my decision making, she has a wonderful spirit. As a caregiver for my hair she greets me always with a warm smile and great conversation. She relaxes me the minute she touches my head, from my nape to my edges lol. I'm zoned out when she washes my hair. I don't recall sharing with her that I'm tender headed however, Zee is always gentle when retwisting and styling. I appreciate her service and knowledge of hair. LUX LAB for your LASHES!!!!! So I went to Kat to get my eyelashes "tinted" and "permed". Although my lashes are long they are very light. If I do not wear mascara, I look tired. So Kat hooked me up with the MOST amazing lashes. The entire process lasted about 60 minutes but since Kat is an amazing conversationalist, the time went very quick. I was IMMEDIATELY thrilled with the results. My 16 year old daughter said it looked like I had mascara on. It is a very natural look for me. And I LOVE it. I am a busy working mom who sometimes does not have time to put on makeup. Now, with this tinting and curl, my lashes already look amazing!! Well worth the money and time!!! I've gotten my brows waxed, which was the most painless experience. I also got a lash lift and tint, and Babe Lash extensions, all expertly applied by Kat.
