First and foremost shout out to the lash techs they all do an amazing job job. HOWEVER, the management needs to be reassessed. I cancelled membership back in December because I developed an allergic reaction to the glues. When the person I was going to moved out of state I tried another lash business and ended up with clumpy sparse lashes and missing lashes where she literally pulled them out. I have been a customer at this location for two years. On Tuesday, January 6 I had an appointment at 5 PM for a lash fill. When I arrived for my appointment, I overheard the girl at the desk talking to another client about their card reader being down, and currently they were cash only. I was not informed of this prior to my appointment even though I received 2 text messages in regards to my upcoming appointment 2 days prior. I actually spoke to the owner Evelyn ON MY WAY TO THE APPOINTMENT and she never mentioned they were cash only. She did however tell me the business was about to be sold to someone else and she would not be working there much longer. Once I found out the card reader was down, I explained to the girl that I was not in a position to pay cash and that I only had my card. The other lady that was being assisted at the same time was in the same predicament. We were both instructed to go to the ATM across the street and neither one of us were not able to do that. I asked the girl to please call Evelyn the owner so we could find out what our options were. Evelyn told me it was cash only I asked her why she neglected to inform me of this in either one of the two text messages she had sent me two days prior or in our phone call just minutes before when I was on my way to the appointment. She had no valid answer. I told her I was going to leave and she said that if I left, I would be charged. I was not in a position to pay cash so I had no choice but to leave. To my shock and amazement I was charged on my credit card $115 for services I did not receive. Funny how they were able to charge my credit card after the fact, but were not able to charge it at the time of service. I don't understand how they think that after being a loyal customer for two years that I would ever come back there again after not trying to even work with me but simply telling me if you don't pay cash in this moment, we're charging you anyway. I feel like the business is cash only now because it is in the process of being sold. This is what happens when greed supersedes customer service. I will obviously never go back, and have already been reimbursed by my credit card company for the charge after disputing it. What a way to do business. I would not recommend this business to anyone. And if you do decide to use this business, you better bring cash so they can put it in their pocket. read more

The guy and girl who took over this location are super unprofessional. They don't act like business people. Their verbiage is a bunch of slang and it's unsettling to say the least. I went for a discounted set and the girl over the phone told me to "make sure you tip your girl, ok!" Like why would you say that? This is a service, of course I would!!! Plus I'm a grown woman, please do not ever tell me what to do. To be frank, tipping is optional in the U.S., but when I receive great service and great work, I definitely tip as a thank you. I've been getting my lashes with LashBar for about two years now. I've been to multiple locations just because sometimes my tech isn't available. Overall the experiences were great... however, this last trip I went to Escondido. I have to say it was quite different. I'm used to being in a salon setting .... Quiet, pleasant , and relaxing... At the Escondido store they had the music extremely loud and the employees are singing out loud amongst each other. My technician was conversing with another tech while working on me. The entire family was in the back room with a baby and a puppy running around. Karla worked on me and I am happy with her work but it took 2 hours for a 2 week fill...that being said I don't think this location would be my first choice. Everyone was nice and friendly but it was not professional and I couldn't wait to get out of there. read more

I'm no expert on lashes but I went to 2 diff places prior to coming to Lashbar and both times I decided lashes weren't for me.. however after visiting Lashbar and getting hybrid lashes, I can't stop going back for fills! I love how natural they look and how comfortable they are on. The retention has also been amazing. They have different programs like a monthly membership or series packages for those of us that plan to go back often! They also have an app which makes everything easier! Everyone there is so friendly and the table is so comfy.. i always fall asleep! With Covid, they require all customers to wear masks and the staff all wear masks as well. I love that they are so careful. The previous place I went to, no one wore masks and I did feel a bit worried being indoors for so long with none of the staff wearing masks (even tho I wore one). I wanted to get my lashes done for an upcoming trip, something simple and natural and honestly didn't plan on making it a regular thing but after my experience here I will probably get a membership. My lash tech Cass was the best. She was so professional, but she also made the entire process so fun. She gave me exactly what I was looking for, I love my lashes so much! The salon itself was extremely clean and cute. Cass offered me a drink right when I walked in for my consultation, made sure I was comfortable and thoroughly walked me through the whole process so I'd know what to expect. It's really exciting seeing businesses being ran the way this one is and making spoiling yourself to worth it. I had previously left a glowing review for this location and its owner. Sadly I've had to stop coming here. Evelyn is kind but unfortunately the rest of her staff do not understand customer service. I had an issue with my lashes falling out only a couple of days after having them done and they were less than accommodating. Evelyn is the ONLY senior stylist at this location. All others are basically brand new. So when I needed my lash fall out fixed and Evelyn wasn't available due to an emergency I was given the only other option of a new stylist who would "do the best she can in 30 min." That did not make me confident in her ability to fix what needed fixing. If I were to wait for 2 days for someone more experienced I was going to be charged. It was not my fault that my lashes were falling out and it was not my fault that someone experienced wasn't available that day, yet I was going to be penalized/made to pay??? I've talked to others who get their lashes done elsewhere and it's customary to have a senior level stylist fix your lashes if a senior stylist did them originally. This isn't the only issue that's come up. I've recommended other girls here and they've complained about them always asking to change appointments times to better suit their schedules. So much so that they've stopped coming to this location. I've dealt with this as well. Often needing to change my appointment time to hours earlier than I had scheduled it. I do my best to move my schedule around because I know Evelyn is busy being the only experienced stylist but they don't seem to meet their clients with the same courtesy and consideration. This place is VERY understaffed with no experienced stylists but for 1, making it extremely difficult and stressful to fix and issues if they arise. Hopefully in time this will be fixed as more girls are trained and have more time to practice. read more

Lashbar Escondido was kind enough to accommodate me last minute when my regular lash lady needed to reschedule. They scheduled me for a fill the following day. They explained that since I had lashes from an outside practitioner that my appt would take an additional 20 min due to consultation etc. No big deal. APPT TYPES I learned you can make 3 different types of appts based on experience of the esthetician. Beginner, intermediate, and master. The difference is the time the appointment takes and the price. STYLE For styling you can request a "classic," "hybrid," "volume," and "mega volume." I opted for a hybrid cat eye. EXPERIENCE Dahlia did my lashes and she did a great job. She was kind, careful, and took her time. She made sure I was comfortable and made adjustments as needed. The flat beds are not my favorite but that is the industry standard. From start to finish including consultation it took 2 hours. PRICE A little pricey compared to what I normally pay but I was okay with it as a one time expense. I paid $95 plus tip whereas normally I would pay $75 plus tip. LONGEVITY After 2 days I could tell the glue was not as strong as what I am used to. Now, a week later, most of them have fallen out. read more

She is a true artist, absolutely stunning, and a total sweetheart. My lashes come out long and voluminous EVERYTIME. I seriously get so many compliments on them. I love that she really listens to her clients and gives me the exact look I'm going for. If you're not sure, she will go over all of the options and help you select a style that fits your eye shape and vibe whether you're looking for a natural look or want something more dramatic. More importantly my natural lashes, which would always fall out with extensions in the past, are completely healthy and going strong. I am very upset with lash bar Escondido because I made an appointment for a KERATIN LASH LIFT, that's exactly how they advertise it in there website. Since the cost is 140.00 plus tax and tip I expected an actual Keratin lift but instead I got a regular old eyelash perm. When I asked the lady about the keratin lift she said "yes this is it". I said no, there is an actual thing called keratin eyelash lift and I am under the impression that the procedure is different and so are the chemicals. I asked two or three different times and she kept saying "yes this it!" Well no it wasn't!! After she was done my lashes looked ok. One eyelash was pointing down (saw this when I got home) my left eyelid was burning and she did say to call if anything was wrong with my eye. When I got home I also saw some glue left on the the eyelid that hurt. I was sooooo upset that I payed 150.00 dollars for a mediocre service and not even the service I wanted. I even gave her a small tip (10.00) but I was very unhappy. I am a wimp like that. I should have stood up for myself. The technician had no knowledge about there being a different kind of lash lift!! :( If you are looking for a true keratin lash lift this is NOT the place. Research before going anywhere! Only included one pic because my camera wasn't able to capture a good enough picture of the other eye with the eyelash that was pointing down. :( read more

What a great first time experience. I had Cindy as my lash extraordinaire technician. I came in with my daughter and we were greeted quite nicely with our name and said Welcome. We were offered champagne or water. The area is super clean. My daughter waited next to me in a bed. I had some concerns afterwards with my lashes not balanced but Cindy took care of it the next day. This is a long overdue review, but I'm so in LOVE with my eyebrows by Jessica. There are different brow options but after the consultation, Jessica recommended a combination of ombré shading brows and mircoblade strokes in the front for me. I'm so happy with the results! I always get compliments on my brows! She's a true professional and made me feel so comfortable during the process that I actually feel asleep! ;) I previously had my eyebrows mircobladed two years ago with another artist and the color turned auburn/ red over time. Since then I have been filling in my eyebrows with powder everyday. I've been wanting to get my eyebrows re-done again but I was nervous because of my previous experience. Jessica reassured me that she would be able to fix what I had previously. I am so HAPPY that I trusted her! The color she chose for me was prefect! It matches my hair and goes with my everyday look. The pigment fades about 50% lighter and into a soft powdery finish which looks like how I would fill in my brows. If you have never gotten your eyebrows tattooed before, just know that when your brows fade the first time, there might be some unevenness due to some parts not absorbing the pigment. It's totally normal, and Jessica will match your brows to your liking during the second appointment/ retouch a few weeks later. I got my brows done thicker during the second appointment because of how it healed. Jessica was very informative, answered all of my questions and gave me clear after-care instructions. It's been 6 months since I got them done and they still look fabulous! Lol. My favorite part about getting this done is not having to wear makeup everyday!
