Full disclosure: I am friends with an employee. This is the only Lasik place I consulted, and I got…read morea friends and family discount. That said, it still cost a pretty penny! Friendly, patient staff who are happy to take their time to answer any possible question you might have. They understand this is surgery and we only have this one set of eyes. And that you are awake for the procedure...nerve-wracking. So that I never felt rushed, made to feel silly, all questions and concerns taken seriously...much appreciated! They could have gotten my Lasik done literally 3 days after my consult, but I decided to wait til later in the month for several reasons. One honestly being so I could start practicing NOT rubbing my eyes because you really need to NOT do that for at least a week post-surgery. The day of the procedure was even faster than I expected. My appointment was at 11am, and I think we were back in the car before 11:30. I appreciated the administration of valium prior to the surgery, and though it did not help me sleep once back at home, it chilled me out enough that I didn't care about the discomfort. By the evening, though everything had a haze, my vision was clear! I could read the spines of the books on the shelf across the room. And even recovering on the day of Lasik, I could read or watch tv to relax at the end of the day. My original prescription wasn't too too bad, so I was eligible for a small upcharge (relatively, compared to the whole cost) for them to try to give me better than 20/20 vision. Which they did. I also opted to pay more for a lifetime enhancement plan (touch up coverage, basically). Hopefully I won't need it, but it is a nice option just in case. It has been a couple weeks since my procedure and my vision is great. Any lingering discomfort/dryness is too be expected and not helped any by it being spring time in the Ohio River Valley. I had a great experience with Greenberg and have already begun recommending them to any friends I hear considering Lasik.

I mean...I only have one pair of eyes. They gave me so much information before my consultation and answered all my questions, and trust that I ask a LOT of questions. I went in for my pre-op consultation and was immediately greeted and welcomed. I filled out paperwork and was then escorted to my first testing room by my consultant, Sasha. Super friendly and kept me at ease the whole time. After a few tests, we headed to the next room where she tested my current vision. After that, Dr. Greenberg came in, greeted me, and then did his tests. Most of my time for the whole procedure was spent during this pre-op session, but it was very thorough. After all the tests, another staff member went over pricing, discounts, and payments. Surgery day was a lot shorter. I was greeted as usual (I felt like a regular), given a Valium to relax, and we headed to the exam room once more. Vision was checked, and then we headed to surgery. Every step was explained. So, I always knew what to expect, and he talked me through it the whole way. With surgery complete, they gave me some shades to wear for the day, pics were taken, and I was able to head home for a nap. Overall, the process was great, and my post-op visit was excellent as well. One more, and I'm clear for a while. Go get Lasik, and get it at Greenberg!Psst...ask about the Humana employee discount.

When Lasik first came to be, I knew I wouldn't be a candidate, so I let it slip from my mind. Fast forward to two/three weeks prior to this review. I went in for a consultation expecting to be told Lasik would not be an option for me. But when I was told that I was a great candidate, and thoroughly explained as to why, I couldn't believe it! The staff was extremely friendly, the facility was very clean, and the technology was state of the art. On the day of the procedure, after being under the laser for about 10 minutes, I sat up and immediately saw the results! I was able to see clearly without glasses since before I was four! I shed tears of joy & gratitude. Dr. Feng was outstanding!! Not only does his credentials and Bio show it, but his work does as well. This goes for his staff also. I cannot thank LasikPlus and Dr. Feng enough for changing the way I see the world and allowing me to no longer view life through +5 eyes.

From the very first interaction, the staff made sure to calm my nerves and ensure I would be very well taken care of. The surgery was fast and entirely painless. I don't know exactly how long I was in the OR, but it genuinely felt like less than 5 minutes! Their post-op instructions are clear and concise, and I felt supported enough to know if something did go wrong, I could call at any time. My follow up appointment was the next day and I walked out seeing 20/15! Im overwhelmed with positive emotions - the most important being gratitude. Thank you, LasikPlus, for a buoyant and life-changing experience.

Customer service, empathy or concern for actually following their own established policies seems to be selective. At the very minimum the staff is rude and biased. At the horrendously worst they are racially judgmental. Speaking very calm I was told that I was getting loud and angry. Immediately I was told that no longer discussion was warranted and that I needed to talk to the office manager due to my "heated and loud" demeanor. I deal in conflict management daily at my job and even informed the clerk that I was displeased at the situation, but that a disagreeing perspective does not equate to loud or even angry in tone. I have had mixed experiences with the staff during my 15 plus years of treatment, but have never been treated like this. There generally has been a feeling of greater than thou or elitism instead of an everyone is welcome attitude. I at first equated that to having government insurance. I now have exceptional corporate insurance and treatment was not any different. I would have left and went elsewhere a long time ago if not for the care I received from my doctor. Dr. Woodruff has always been incredibly kind and caring. However, I will not be stereotyped. I am the very last to bring classism, race or any other type of prejudiced accusations into a situation unjustly but today's experience was putrid. To the office's credit, I could have been seen and dealt with the attitudes if I myself had been to my appointment exactly on time or early. That is on me. I fully take that responsibility. Oh well. I may make a BBB complaint as well but there are plenty other eyecare facilities. My treatment will have to be postponed for another month or so and I am thankful it wasn't excessively, medically urgent. Except for possibly picking up my records; I will NOT be back her again. Sad.

I recently paid a visit to Dr. Cassol on the recommendation of my optometrist and primary care…read morephysician. At my (exact age to not be revealed), they said it's a good idea to have them checked for cataracts. Once contact it was only a couple of weeks before my appointment. Being one that likes early appointments, I selected 8am and arrived about 7:45 and I was lucky that they let me in (it was, like, seriously cold outside). After a bit of paperwork I was taken into an intake room of sorts where of the staff members (Caitlin?) took some information and dilated my eyes. Having your eyes dilated is not a pleasant thing, but I knew it was going to happen. Drops in the eyes and about 10 minutes later I was seeing colours I'd never seen before....and then they start shining REALLY BRIGHT light into your eyes. It is, at once, the most brilliant light you've ever seen as well as the some of the most painful. (it made sense in my mind). After they're done visually torturing your eyes you're taken to a very nice little waiting area before you see Dr. Cassol. The waiting area has some comfortable chairs, a coffee maker, and a small refrigerator with small bottles of water. It's also nicely decorate and not over-done. There's a television, as well. I didn't wait very long (maybe 10 minutes) before I was taken back to see the good doctor. Dr. Cassol reviewed the results of the tests that the previous eye-torturers did and asked a few questions. He took the time to understand why I was there and looked into my eyes again. After a brief exam he said that everything look well and that my eyes tested at 20/15 (better than I had anticipated) and said he'd see me back in two years. For an 8:00 a.m. appointment, this went very well and I was out the door before 9:00 a.m. I wish all my appointments went so smoothly! All of the staff were friendly and professional, Dr Cassol's expertise showed through, and the facility is very laid back and relaxed. My first visit to Cassol Eye was a great experience. See you again in two years!
