They will roll out the red carpet to take your money. Even during surgery you feel like it was a good decision. The minute you need further assistant, follow up appt, the procedure didn't go as planned and you need a touch up, anything....good luck. They will kick the can as far as they can. They will not return phone calls. If you do get a follow up, fully expect to be in the room for 90 minutes while they see new consults to push towards surgery. You will be on the back burner. Their scheduling department is a joke with no visibility. I'd say you get what you pay for but seeing that the price is universal for most shops, who knows. My advice pick a place where you can call the office and actually take to someone to be seen. read more

If you've ever been interested in getting Lasik, I highly recommend in LasikPlus. From initial consult to out the door after my follow up appointment was 10 days, and that's 10 calendar days NOT BUSINESS DAYS. They took me from legally blind to 20/15 in less than a few minutes. The staff was great and the doctors were top notch. Dr Brewer, who preformed my surgery, was very personable and was able to calm my nerves prior to going into the procedure. They have a very efficient scheduling system. The fact that the procedure room was all glass and I could see the people getting their vision corrected in front of me and my family could see my procedure was very reassuring and pretty awesome. (See attached) Everything they tell you is accurate from the pressure you would feel as well as not being able to feel anything during the procedure; to the slight burning smell while the laser corrects your vision. The entire time Dr. Brewer was calm and reassuring as he and his staff spoke to me throughout the procedure. The post op care and directions were great. They prepared you for the feeling and sensations post op as well. I experienced a slight burn, less than you would if a lemon squirted in your eye for less than an hour. *Update* 6 years later and I'm experiencing some regression on my vision. I've contacted LASIK Plus and they were very helpful on explaining the process of for "possible" retouch. They did inform me of the possibility of regression but that it was rare. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I wasn't aware there was an approval process but from what I understand, you have to be a good candidate for a retouch. This requires going to an eye doctor at your expense and also requires a 24 hour liquid eye dilation. This means you can't have the liquid-less dilation test. Also, there is a form you have to have the optometrist fill out. Wish me luck. I had to pay for some eye glasses in the interim because they also informed me that the process takes 8 weeks to finalize. read more

I had my first appointment this last Wednesday, the staff was amazing. They helped me understand my options, and clearly explained the procedure and what the anticipated outcome would be. I was sold so I made appointment for Friday. Again, the staff explained what my procedure would be like. The process was very quick and painless. Had my lasik procedure done around 15-16 years ago now. After wearing glasses for most of my life, I almost got a point where I was mostly glasses-less, but my vision slowly started deteriorating. At first it was nothing major that made my eyesight anything but perfect rather than better than perfect, but as the years continued, I am now at a point where my astigmatism is back. Since LasikPlus offers a guarantee, I always felt assured that the money I paid was worth it because even if it didn't work out, I could do it again. That is where my poor rating begins. In order to get a new procedure, you have to go through their re-evaluation process which takes 6-8 weeks after a form is filled out as a result of a visit to your eye doctor. My eye appt was on April 19th and my doctor sent their form same day via fax. I would have assumed the 6-8 weeks started there, but I received an email from LasikPlus on May 13th stating the form was reviewed and being sent to medical staff for evaluation and the process would take... 6-8 weeks. As time went on, I finally called LasikPlus in July and have called at least five times now each time with no resolution and no callback. Initially they submitted a call back request and the last three times, I was told an urgent request was sent because they have no way to call the doctors directly to get me transferred over. So unfortunately I am left to write a negative review due to the lack of any callback or update on whether or not the warranty I was given will be upheld. I would have hoped the procedure would have lasted longer and can live with the fact that it didn't, but I don't appreciate being ignored after following all of the necessary steps to have my eyes corrected via a warranty they offer but are apparently unwilling to backup with action. read more

I had the surgery less than a year ago (in May). The surgery itself was fast and quite scary. They told me to stare at this light during the surgery and when I said I couldn't see it; I couldn't see anything at all, the doctor told me to stare at where I thought it might be. That eye never really got 20/20. But together with both my eyes, I can see 20/20. Anyways, my right eye has progressively gotten worse since December. I thought it was weather related, but it has gotten progressively worse over the course of a month-- enough for me to call today. Does they said "oh it's been over a year, definitely go to the optometrist," and after I corrected them and said it hasn't even been over a year, they went to check my files. So since I was "relieved" I couldn't go get check up by them. They just told me I should go to the optometrist since they don't think it's lasik related. I'm not sure what protocols they are following but it's not very good. If I'm going to pay over thousands of dollars for a surgery, I should definitely be taken care of. Hence the three star rating. I think it's irresponsible to not even take a look at your own patient before you send them off to another doctor. Aren't the doctors at this practice MDs and/or optometrist? read more

The process could not have been easier. I went in for a consultation and after a eye exam was told I could have lasik within the week. This was strange to me bc I was always told by people my astigmatism would be an issue. NOT the case for me at all. The procedure itself took no more than 10 min with a pain level I could only describe as a temporary mild discomfort. A couple days later at my follow up I was told I was seeing at 20/15 vision! I Tried to rotate my "contact" just now but caught myself before I poked my eye & realized that I am simply just tired & only needed eye drops BECAUSE; ---- I CAN FINALLY SEE!!!! It's been easily over 10 years... I actually forgot what good vision was bc even with contacts & glasses they never actually worked on me very well bc my astigmatism was so awful. Dr. January told me the surgery experience would be a cross between a disco club and an alien obduction. As I laid down on the operating table, Bob Marley played at level 6 (almost a good distraction from the lasers that were about to probe my eyes). The operating team immediately went to work like a well oiled machine. I appreciate the fact that they were so fast, because the surgery itself is not what anyone would consider a comfortable experience. After the surgery, I went straight home. Between the tears and the boogers that followed suit, it took me an hour to fall asleep. 1.5 total hours of uncomfortableness to have perfect vision for the rest of my life. Today is my second day check up after my LASIK. I felt so good about everything. After I did the surgery yesterday I felt so sensitive so I slept the whole day, and today I can keep my eyes open and they both feel comfortable, exp I don't want to make them tired yet. At the appointment all the reps and doctors are so nice and they did a full professional detailed checkup for me. The whole process of the surgery was live on screen of the surgery room that built by glass walls. I love this concept. The family and others can see exactly what is happening in the surgery. Doctor Brewer and other staff are very professional and skilled. They gave me confidant to trust them throughout the surgery and now my turn out is great. Right now I can see very far yet I still see some halo but doctor Drake told me this is very normal and I will expect better visions in about two weeks. Great experience so far! I'm getting my LASIK procedure today. One week ago I came in for my LASIK consultation and felt very comfortable from start to finish. The ladies up front were very welcoming and friendly. They also got me back for the testing within a timely manner. The technician that performed my testing was also very warm and friendly. I went in for my free exam to determine if I was a candidate. It turned out that I was a candidate, but I would still need reading glasses. Because I would still need glasses I decided not to get the surgery. My low rating came from the fact that on two occasions during the exam process I was not given information, but when I questioned the person I was told I had been given the information. My wife was with me throughout the entire process and confirmed that in fact I was not provided accurate information, until I questioned it. If it had been once, I would have written it off as circumstance, but twice inside a thirty minute time period for a medical practice is unacceptable in my opinion. read more
