After thinking about getting Lasik for years I finally went in for the free evaluation. I had no idea what to expect as far as price but decided ahead of time that if I had the funds in my HSA I would go for it. I was given a price for both eyes that I thought was reasonable and agreed to. The day of the procedure a doctor checked my eyes and recommended I just do one eye. I really appreciated this, half the price I was expecting. They could have easily done both and I wouldn't have known any better. They even offered to reimburse me for a cab or uber/lyft to and from the procedure. I declined but I appreciated them offering. The procedure was very quick and it worked. I now have 20/20 vision. I have had glasses for 15 years and have been contemplating getting LASIK for the last 3 years. I've been contemplating writing this review for quite awhile due to the amazing reviews Dr. Perry has and I'm sure he is amazing- I never met him, I went in for an appointment to get my eyes looked at and anyone who knows me knows how badly severe my eyesight is. Getting my vision fixed would completely change my life and after talking it over with my family we agreed to finally figure something out so I was so excited to go into LasikPlus. The overall staff was amazing, they did a bunch of tests to see what my prescription was and it was high. My left and right eye are about -9 to -11. It's truly been a struggle. Whoever did my tests built up my happiness when we talked about me not possibly wearing contacts ever again. Everything was perfectly fine until I waited to see ***Dr. Kunnigan (made sure to save her name in my notes). I walked in and RIGHT AWAY with a snotty attitude she said I wasn't a candidate and had the demeanor as if "anything else?". Was not sincere whatsoever, seemed to not give a shit, made me feel like I was wasting her time, literally couldn't believe how rude she was and when I tried to get answers or some type of guidance as to what to do next she made her recommendations as quickly as possible, barely said anything, not even joking just stared at me, made me feel so out of place and uncomfortable. I feel like when someone is coming to you for things like this that affect your daily life you should have some type of professionalism and empathy but there was nothing there. She seemed like she was compensating for some insecurities to be honest. I walked out, went straight to the bathroom and literally sat on the bathroom stale floor and cried. I was so upset and didn't expect to be that emotional but it really hurt my feelings. I gathered my stuff, checked out and with super dilated pupils drove home and got into bed. It's very unfortunate because everyone else was amazing ASIDE from her- the 2 minutes (if that) I was with her completely ruined my amazing 30 minutes with everyone else. I've always been really weird when it comes to touching my eyes or anything going into my eyes. I even refused to wear contacts. Dr. Perry and his team were wonderful. They made me feel very comfortable and talked me through the whole procedure. Being comfortable and having the reassurance made it possible for me to go through with it. A month later I'm seeing 20/15. I'm so happy I took the leap of faith with LasikPlus and went through with the procedure. I love not having to worry about wearing glasses anymore. Dr perry was great! Being in the procedure room took about 10 minutes. I was there for about an hour. I would suggest taking a strong pain pill post procedure because your eyes sting for a few hours. I slept for a few hours after and then when I woke up there was a moment where it just happened and I was seeing 20/20 that night. It was worth every dollar! read more

Overpriced conveyer belt lasik! I heard their ad on the radio and decided to check them out. Upon arrival my insurance questions were dismissed by the receptionist and I was handed a credit application. I was rushed from room to room having various test ran on me, nothing was explained. I was asked to remove my lenses and eyes were dialated, so at this point I could not see near or far, I was completely blind. The tech then sat me down to watch a video, I asked the girl next to me if she could see the video, but she was in the same shape I was in. Kind of a sick joke given we both think there was a printed disclaimer on the video (but we'll never know). Then I was sat out in the lobby (still completely blind) for 20 - 30 minutes to wait for the "doctor". The doctor who did my exam was not Dr Perry with whom my appointment was with, which I find disturbing that the doctor performing the surgery would not be doing my initial evaluation. He was just going to wing it the day of surgery. His assistant was nice, but seemed inexperienced. She gave me quote of over $4,000, quite different from the $250.00 per on the radio ad. read more

My husband wanted lasik since he was 16, and finally at 31 he did it And Im just so happy he did it here. The staff is so accommodating, especially Elaine, I love her! The office just has a good vibe when you walk in, it seems to flow so smoothly, and I love the floor to ceiling windows that surround the surgery room. it shows they not only care about their patients but they also care about their family and friends who go with them. It takes a lot of balls to put yourself out there professionally and willingly be under the pressure of watchful eyes while you work. So with that said I'm very impressed with Dr. Perry. On top of all of that... At the appt the next Morning they told my husband he already had 20/20 vision and since then zero issues. I listened to the good reviews for LasikPlus in Scottsdale and I am glad I did! I had lasik done there two days ago and I couldn't be happier! The process there is very efficient....like a well oiled machine. I had a consultation on Tuesday, got the procedure done on Friday of the same week. Some people's reviews seemed to deem that efficiency as a negative, but I am glad I didn't have to wait months to proceed. They have a full office every time I go in and they still manage to get everyone through in a timely manner. In my opinion, the more people in the waiting room, the more comfortable I feel having something as important as eye surgery done there. They are obviously doing something right or there wouldn't be so many clients. As for the office staff, I found them all to be very nice & competent. Some are a little quirky, but funny. I never felt pressured into the procedure like some reviews have stated. Maybe that was because I went in there knowing what I wanted? Either way, I would recommend LasikPlus to anyone looking to get lasik done. Dr. Perry is great, the staff is great, my eyes came out perfectly (20/15 vision) and only had a couple of hours of pain directly after the surgery. I followed all the instructions given to me (go home, use your drops, take a nap) & woke up 2 hours later feeling wonderful & seeing great! Sooooo worth the $3,600!! You are only a number. Forget the advertised price. I paid $6000. You will receive a 1-800 number for any follow up. They don't have anyone check it on weekends or nights. They don't even respond early on the next business day. So depending on your need, that can be really frustrating. I had problems with eye dryness. I kept every appointment and had a couple of extra appointments because of it. I changed eye drops based on their recommendations and at one visit even had, I believe collagen, injected in to my tearducts. I still had problems with dry eyes and after two more visits they wrote a prescription for an eye drop that is suppose to be very effective. More than $10k out of pocket. Unbelievable right? My insurance company said that had they wrote for it sooner they would have covered 100% minus deductible. Which had already been met. The only employee they have that acts like they have any genuine concern for your well being is Dr Earl. But even that is only during business hours once it's conveyed to her. read more

I was very nervous to get my Lasik done. But Dr. Perry did a great job preforming the surgery and his assistant was great even though I was quite un-easy. Dr. Perry even called me when I had questions the evening before the surgery to answer any looming concerns I had. The first two weeks my eyes healed and once they were completely healed I was seeing 20/15! Better than 20/20! My vision before the surgery was poor for most of my life (4.0 contact in my left eye 3.5 contact in my right eye). It is now a year later, i haven't had any problems, no dry eye and my vision is still 20/15. I would recommend Dr. Perry to anyone. read more

I'm a little over 2 weeks post-op right now and wanted to share my experience so far. I originally had a consult with LasikPlus, and another vision correction place as well, back in November after doing quite a bit of research. I chose to go with LasikPlus because it had more of a welcoming feel than the other place and I feel that they were more professional and that their equipment was in better working order as well. The price was similar between the two as well but LasikPlus offered a great military discount and warranty and the other place did not. I had scheduled my procedure for about 1.5 months after the original consult with Dr. Wayment. The week before my procedure, I received a phone call confirming my appointment and that I had filled all my prescriptions. Then I was asked if I wanted something to help calm my nerves before the procedure too (yes please!!). The night before my procedure, I received a call from Dr. Perry asking if I had any questions or concerns, etc. He was the one performing the procedure so it would have been nice to meet him before the day of, but I was still comfortable with how everything was flowing. The morning of, I arrived with all my prescriptions and my driver. A technician checked me in and then went over my packet and all my eye drops with me. This was done in the waiting room but I wish it had been a bit more private since there was a lot going on in the main waiting room. There are two waiting rooms, front and back (by the procedure area). Everyone waits in the front room until they are about ready for you, so in the back waiting room there was only about 3 people in there (who could see what was going on) when I had my procedure. They did recheck all my tests to make sure that they are doing the right correction and that part is what took the longest - which I'm grateful for because I'd rather take longer making sure everything is done right. Anyway, after she went over everything with me before the procedure, I was called up to the desk to pay. This is where I started to get a little mad. The technician who was taking payments was VERY adamant that I check-in on Facebook so that money would get donated to a charity. Sorry, I don't do that and she didn't like that answer and kept pushing that money would get donated for charity if I did. I planned on doing a review no matter what but don't try to get me to put my business out there before I want it known. Also, I was a little upset to see that I was charged $45 for three pack of eye drops (non-prescription) to be used after the procedure as well. I honestly could have bought the three pack on base for $15 and saved myself $30. So it'd be nice if they would inform patients of that before so that they could have the option to purchase the drops from them or get them elsewhere and be prepared. I assume they have a contract with that eye drop company though for a discount and that could be why there was no choice. Then, last thing before the procedure, was confirming my 1 day appointment. This made me mad as well as I originally made my 1 day appointment when I booked the procedure and wasn't told it was being rescheduled until the day of. A heads up would have been nice. The procedure went quick and easy and the numbing drops didn't wear off until the ride home. If you can, ask for an extra drop before leaving as that was the most painful part! I just wanted to get home and sleep, which I did. After I woke up, I could see just as if I were wearing my glasses. It was a little blurry and maybe a little itchy but no real pain (other than the ride home). Dr. Perry did call later that evening to check up and see if I had any concerns, how my vision was, and if I had any questions. The next day, I had my 1 day checkup. I had all my dealings with the Scottsdale office but they didn't tell me until procedure day that my appointment was being rescheduled to the Chandler office and I had to pick a time before 9am. Since Scottsdale was closer to our home, I was a little mad because of the further drive and the expectation that I had to be there early. I was told to get there no later than 0900 and not sure why as they were so behind, I wasn't seen until way after that, by Dr. Wayment. I was on track as far as vision expectations. At my week appointment, at the Scottsdale office, I met with Dr. Rainey. My vision was still improving and I could see 20/15 but it was a little blurry so I feel more comfortable saying that my vision is 20/20 now. Was still difficult to look at a computer for a long period of time (I take online classes and am on a computer all day at work too) but if I just keep using the "tears" drops, it helps a lot. Overall, I'd do it again. I did not feel pressured to book at the consultation and everyone was very forthcoming and honest when I did have questions. Only cons were the OTC eye drop cost, pressure to post on FB, and last minute schedule/location change. Which those could happen anywhere. read more

I've been looking into lasik for years now. After a friend recommended this facility, I made an appointment online for a free pre consultation for the next day. I went into the Scottsdale office and was quickly checked by a tech and then a doctor. I also received informational forms and watched a video about the procedure. Once I was deemed a good candidate, I sat with another individual to go over prices. I was told that there was a promotional deal for the following Friday for 3,600. The price originally would be 4665. I had the option to also use either my insurance discount or my military discount. I used the military discount which totaled to 3,282. I made the appointment for the following Friday. During that time I received emails with more information and then a call from the doctor the night prior to the procedure. The day of, I went in and paid for the procedure. After being re-checked by the techs and reading information about post op care, I went under. A very frightening situation but the doctor talked to me the entire time. My only piece of advice is take deep breaths. You won't experience any pain. I only spent 30 mins in the office and walked out with medication in hand. I needed a ride home because my vision was still blurry. I went to sleep for three hours and woke up with sight. I then received a call from the doctor the night of to ensure everything went well. The next day I went to chandler for the post op follow up appointment. Which was easy and quick. And then I have another check up at the end of the month. Overall my experience was great. Staff was very friendly and I recommend this place to my family and friends. read more

I've been putting off lasik for years because 1. The longer you wait, the better the technology gets, right? And 2. I'm a HUGE wuss about eyes. So with my eyes having been allergic to contacts for the past 3 years, the few pairs I still had expiring, and my frustration with glasses in training for triathlons and martial arts, I finally decided it was time. I got recommendations from friends and got evaluations at two different Lasik offices. After my evaluations I had a big question come up (lasik vs PRK for the activities I do) and called both offices asking if I could meet with the actual ophthalmologists to get their opinions. (When you go in for an eval, you typically meet with the optometrist, who doesn't actually perform the procedure.) The other office told me no, there was no way to meet the surgeon before the day of, but lasik plus told me Dr. Perry could see me that Friday. He answered my questions and made me feel comfortable, so his 10 minutes earned my trust and business. I got two Valium before the procedure, and it was quick, smooth, and not bad at all. Today, three days after procedure, one of my eyes is still hurting and the other isn't, so I emailed Dr. Wayment (the optometrist) and he told me to come in right away to check out my eyes. (They've just got a few dry spots, so he gave me a different type of tear drop to try.) But I thoroughly appreciated his quick response and that he didn't hesitate at all to see me and address my concerns. (And my eyes were 20/15 when I was in there today.) The exam was very professional, however the issue of buy 1-get 1-free has been a trying ordeal. When my 2nd pair of glasses was not ready after 2 weeks I called and was placed on hold for 45 minutes and then told that I had only purchased 1pair. The person at the 800 number had a heavy accent that made communication difficult. In the face of a pandemic I had to take public transportation to the outlet and find out that I paid $419; for 1 pair of glasses and the "free" pair would cost me $278.98. I consider this Bait & Switch and will pursue legal recourse if necessary. read more

What a wonderful place to be treated. Awesome staff and center. I just had my procedure on 3/29 and upon my follow-up discovered that my vision is now 20/15!!! I never expected to see without the use of glasses again. I have held off getting Lasik for about 10 years due to financial reasons, but their payment plans have made it all possible. Dr. Perry was very supportive and explained/guided me through the entire procedure. I was very nervous at first, which is not typical for me, but come on...it's my eyes! What these guys are doing is really amazing. The work they're doing is incredible. My vision was so bad it was about -5.5 WITH astigmatism. The front desk ladies were wonderful, Dr. Perry was good, but the man who records your eye prescription before the surgery was so rude. He was a tall older man that perhaps has been doing this job far too long because he was cold, unprofessional, and rushed. Granted there were a lot of people getting surgery that day, but to be the person who assesses such an important part of the surgery warrants a bit more patience. He does not greet me he just tells me to "sit over there." He asks the usual questions "are both sides the same, better or worse, one or two, three or four?" But he went so fast and became visibly annoyed when I asked to go back a few times. He made me feel bad for wanting to be certain of how clear I could see before going into surgery. Not to mention, before I left the room, he realized forgot to dilate my eyes to which he just grabs the product and drops it in my eyes without any explanation and warning that it would sting. Overall, he made me feel like an inconvenience and really ruined the experience for me. read more

I scheduled an appointment two weeks ago, confirmed the appointment last week and scheduled my day off around the appointment. I received a voicemail yesterday saying that I had an appointment that needed to be rescheduled. I had no information about what the appointment was or why it was cancelled. So I ignored the voicemail as it seemed like a scam. Today I called in to see if I could possibly move up the appointment but was informed that it had been cancelled and couldn't be reschedule for today. My sister had a similar if not worse experience (two appointments were cancelled). This place feels like a scam, the prices are ridiculously cheap and scheduling is a massive hassle. About 2 weeks ago I had my LASIK procedure, before this they gave me a thorough eye exam and consultation. They answered all my questions, gave me specific instructions leading up to the procedure and gave me a really handy folder so I could have all of my information and things in order. (Referring to a previous yelp post in the next few sentences)Nothing about the consultation was confusing, and I'm a 21 year old. I understood everything that was required of me, and I read over all of the warnings, fine print, and information I received before I ever signed. Also, they do not require you to sign anything until the day of the procedure other than how you are planning to pay for it. The day of my exam they gave me another eye exam to be 100% sure my eyes hadn't changed in the adjustment period of not wearing contacts. I was then brought into the procedure room where the Dr. Perry and the nurse joked around with me and made me feel comfortable. They were nice enough to humor me by making sure I had more than enough numbing eyedrops throughout the procedure so that I wouldn't feel any discomfort. The procedure was quick and painless, and I was out the door. My recovery time afterwards was about two hours before my eyes were able to look at lights and screens without tearing up. Dr. Perry even called me that night to make sure I was doing okay and taking my drops as scheduled, and if I had any further questions. Overall the experience of my LASIK procedure was so easy and I'm fully healed now with 20/15 vision, compared to my nearsightedness where I couldn't read something a foot from my face. Thank you LASIK Plus and Dr. Perry, it's great to not wear contacts and glasses anymore. I have suggested friends and my parents to go here for their LASIK procedures because I had the best and most smooth experience. read more
