LasikPlus Vision Center at Scottsdale is absolutely wonderful! My entire experience, including the surgical procedure and the follow up visits, have been pleasant and professional. Scheduling and Financing: I am a full time grad student, which means I have a busy schedule and limited finances. LasikPlus was extremely accommodating when scheduling my surgery. Dr. Perry came in on a day when he is normally not in the office to perform my lasik surgery. He even called me later that evening to see how I was doing after the surgery. Financially, LasikPlus offered $600 off and free consultations where you can book your appointment online. The staff was very knowledgeable about financing. Sue, who works at the front desk, helped me organize my interest free payment plan with CareCredit. She even found a way to help me get my post-surgery eye drop medication when the pharmacy incorrectly filled my script. Sue went above and beyond! I am eternally grateful for her. The Staff: The entire staff at the Scottsdale location is so friendly. Sue knows everybody by name and greets them with a smile. Follow up visits with Dr. Wayment and Dr. Ho are great. I never wait long in the waiting room and the actual appointment takes less than 20 minutes. The Surgery and Results: Due the dimensions of my eye, I was a candidate for both Lasik and PRK. Dr. Perry informed me about the pros and cons of each and let me choose which procedure I would prefer to receive. The actual Lasik surgery took less than 15 minutes. Dr. Perry is very skilled and talks you through the entire procedure. He is conservative in his surgical approach but always gets great results. I have needed corrective eye wear since I was 4 years old. My astigmatism was so bad that basically it changed my far sighted vision to near sighted. After the Lasik surgery, my vision is now 20/15!!! I am so happy with the results! I would highly recommend LasikPlus at Scottsdale to anyone. read more

Dr. Perry is great as is the rest of the staff! I went in with terrible vision and tired of glasses and not wanting to deal with contacts and I came out with 20/15 vision. I had a TERRIBLE allergic reaction (felt like being pepper-sprayed in the face for 4 hours straight after the surgery (literally, all my glands were acting up, not just my eyes) but that finally subsided and when I woke up, I could see better than I ever could my entire life. I was a bit worried given the reaction and if I should take some of the eye drops after but the call the day after and the follow ups made it all good and even with all of that, I would do it again in a heartbeat and recommend anyone I know to do it too. Now I can wear sunglasses! And swim in a pool and see. And see fine when it rains. And all the other things people probably take for granted. Was really nervous about getting my LASIK done (I'm not exactly the least anxious person when it comes to surgery) but I'm so grateful that I got it done!! Simply put, I couldn't be happier with the service I received at LasikPlus. They made everything so easy, even when I had to reschedule the surgery a couple times. The consultation went smoothly and was very informative. Once my surgery date was finally set, Dr. Perry called me the night before to see if I had any final questions. He also called me later in the evening after my surgery to make sure I was ok. Who does that!?!? The only bad part about my surgery was that it went too fast. I planned on being there for 60-90 minutes and scheduled my ride accordingly. Well, from the time I arrived to the time I was finished took all of a half hour, so I had to wait for the ride. My surgery went fine (which makes sense since it is a simple procedure), but Dr. Perry's manner left a lot to be desired. I think a lot of these reviews focus on being happy with having better vision, but that is different that reviewing the actual service at this location. On the day of my procedure, I waited a couple hours, managed to avoid interacting with a receptionist who oddly kept referring to me as "girlfriend," and finally I entered the operating room. I sat down. Dr. Perry walked up to me, stood within an inch, and ordered me to stay quiet about the "deal" I was getting on the lasik procedure. Which, by the way, was $2800 for both eyes, total. Even one of the nurses turned her head, because that's mighty strong language and body posturing for a doctor. What would have been appropriate? Say hello, how are you, do you have any questions or concerns? But no such luck here. Dr. Perry then told me that even though I didn't look nearly 40 years old, I was going to have to start acknowledging my age and be prepared to get reading glasses in the coming years. This was a wholly inappropriate comment about my appearance. In fact, the whole exchange was unfortunate. This is a simple procedure but intense, and it was made all the more challenging because of his downright threatening manner. There are awards showcased in this office for best service, these awards are a few years old. You definitely get the impression that this chain had a heyday for customer care and now is not that time. Now they are a factory with tons of people and cash coming in; that and their reviews seem to be what is most important to them. read more

I got my lasik about 2 weeks ago and the results have been amazing! I never knew life without contacts was so simple and easy! The staff and doctors here were very nice and answered any questions I had. The procedure itself was very quick and so was the healing process! It was also very nice that they do referral benefits! Just make sure to bring a dark colored jacket or blanket to cover your face for the ride after the procedure since your eyes will be sensitive to the bright AZ sunlight! read more

LasikPlus staff were very nice to lure me for the LasikSurgery. The staff proposed one-year no-interest payment, free-ride back to home, discount, and so on to persuade the surgery. Initially, they were nice, but after-the surgery, they were different. The Dr. Perry's staff doctor and my eye-care doctor indicated the surgery was incomplete, they suggested a touch-up surgery, but Dr. Perry ignored it. And now the LasikPlus told me that the touch-up surgery would cost more than $4,000. My visions are getting worse over time. I don't want the Lasik surgery again because I had suffered many side effects for the night visions. The day-time visions except the very-dried eyes initially were very satisfied, though. read more

I had an exceptional experience at Lasik Plus and would like to share my time with them. From my initial evaluation to my post op appointment, I was treated with amazing and personal care from all the staff. The front desk, especially Carrie, kept in touch (and had to deal with playing phone tag with me) over a span of 3-4 weeks to make sure I had exactly what I needed and all my questions answered. She went above and beyond. During my eval, the employees doing my testing were very thorough, and made me feel like they were doing what they needed to do to ensure my surgery would be accurate and mistake free. I was given a tour of the office, met all the doctors there, and had all my questions answered. I also was able to meet the surgeon Dr. Perry, who gave me the time and went over my case, even with his busy schedule, and also Dr. Wayment, the O.D. who was very kind and professional and also thoroughly reviewed my eyes to make sure I was a good candidate for the surgery. They also all remembered my sister, who they treated with LASIK many months prior, and always asked how she was doing. I then visited another location to have an evaluation done, and was surprised how different the experience was. Lasik Plus had me sit in the waiting room very minimally, while I had to wait at this other office for 45 minutes before my eval. They rushed through my eval and I was given information over the phone that contraindicated what they were telling me in person. They then rushed me into the consultation room to try to sell me on their " February Valentines sale", which I thought was inappropriate. It really made me appreciate how Lasik Plus took the time to give me a tour and meet the surgeons. These are my eyes and the little things really matter. When surgery day came, I could not believe how quick, simple and painless the procedure was. Dr. Perry guided me through every step, and told me exactly what would happen before they did, which made things very easy. He and his assistant Janelle took extra precaution to make sure I was safe and comfortable. Their laser equipment was top notch. Lasik Plus gives you a very specific set of rules to follow and I'm happy to say that at my one day post op I had 20/15 vision and no pain! Dr.'s Perry and Wayment were there to see me one day later (on a Saturday) to make sure everything was healing appropriately. After the surgery, I was light sensitive and felt some minor soreness, but after a short nap - I felt nearly 100%. It has now been 48 hours after surgery and I'm doing great. My eyes are nearly perfect, halo's are seen at night, which they said is a normal side effect for a few weeks after surgery, and some dryness is there. Overall, I'm amazed how someone can be given perfect vision so quickly with nearly no recovery time and most importantly no pain. I highly recommend this company for anyone looking to rid themselves of glasses and contacts. read more

I have worn contacts/glasses for the majority of my life based on my nearsightedness. If I was not wearing my contacts or glasses I could not see anything if it was not right in front of me. LASIK is something I always wanted to do. I suffered from poor vision since I was a child. I went to the Chandler location for a consultation and I must say, I was very impressed. Staff was very friendly and I was really not expecting so much testing. They were really thorough with every test they performed on my eyes. I went home that day, and decided to think about it. I decided to get a second opinion with a competitor. I am so glad I did! They were pressuring me to schedule, they didn't take nearly as much time with me as LasikPlus did. Testing wasn't as thorough AND it was more expensive! I knew LASIKPlus was the only choice for me.. I called Carrie and asked her to book my surgery. Best decision I could have made.. The day of surgery there was more testing. I was given Valium to calm my nerves, which I was grateful for. Dr. Perry was great, he made me feel comfortable and relaxed. He talked to me through the procedure and let me know what was going to happen step by step. I was in the OR for about 15 mins and I was on my way. Immediately after surgery, I could already see better than I did before having the surgery. My vision was a little foggy and I was told to go home and take a nap. My eyes were burning and tears were rolling down my face on the way home. I got home took a nap, when I woke up I could see! It felt like I had an eyelash in my eyes. I used my drops and that helped a lot. I was able to watch a movie that night and saw clearly. Dr. Perry called me that night to check on me. That was nice. The following day at post op I had 20/20 vision. A week later I was at 20/15.. Getting Lasik was one of the best decisions I have made. I had the PRK surgery done four weeks ago and although the day of procedure I experienced some discomfort I was able to get tips from the amazing staff at LASIKPlus that helped my pain. UNETHICAL, PUSHY, & OVERPRICED I do not recommend LasikPlus b/c they wanted to schedule me for the surgery the same day as the consult. This is very dangerous to do b/c my eyes were still dilated. The surgery should not be performed if the eyes are still dilated b/c results are not successful. The lady was very pushy about scheduling me the same day. Also they are more expensive than other agencies. They wanted to charge me $3400 for PRK and Nationwide vision quoted me for PRK at $2040--that's a difference of $1360 for the same exact surgery! read more

About 4 years ago I had Lasik Plus lasik on my left eye. Recently I had Lasik Plus PRK done on my right eye. Both procedures produced great results, however, for me the lasik procedure came with a couple of side effects... dry eye and sensitively to bright daylight. The conditions are manageable, but I would rather not have them. The PRK done on my right eye was a longer recovery time (several weeks before eyes stabilized and 30 days before great vision) but well worth it... no dry eye, no sensitivity to bright sunlight. I strongly recommend the PRK procedure for long term eye comfort if you can brave the longer recovery time. And I am happy to say that for me Lasik Plus (Dr. Perry) has proven to be a sound choice with great results. read more

I just had my Lasik surgery here today. I'm 25 and have been wearing glasses since I was a year 1/2. My mom found me close up to the tv squinting my eyes and that's how I was able to see clearly at that age. Progressively, my eye sight worsened and my glasses got thicker and thicker. I was able to wear contacts at the age of 12, which was one of the greatest days of my life.... until today. Now, I will say my wedding day, obviously counts as the best day of my life but today comes in a close second. I went here based off the reviews and had a chance to go somewhere cheaper in Canada but decided my eye sight was worth it! They are a well oiled machine, with amazing staff. Working in various aspects of the healthcare field, their attention to detail is SUPERB. The price, honestly, is not bad at all. The surgery itself, is not painful. There is pressure in the beginning and the laser can be kind of intimidating but it doesn't last long at all!!! Directly after, I was in a decent amount of pain with sensitivity and watery eyes but could see 50% better immediately. Trust me, if you just get yourself to sleep, it's a night and day difference. I woke up from a four hour nap like a brand new person. I'd say with my strong prescription without glasses or contacts before I could visibly make things out in front of me about 10-20%, after my nap my vision is about 90-95%. It is supposed to gradually heal but I'm fully confident in my healing! Oh, and your family members can watch your surgery from the waiting room, my husband did! The goggles you wear to sleep are super sexy, the glasses they give you after make you look like terminator, but all necessary and SO worth it! Thank you guys for such an awesome experience. read more
