He's very knowledgeable and been in the auto business over 30 years, and his wealth of knowledge guides his staff to do their absolute best. Jorge really takes the time to get to know all of his customers, and is very respectful and professional. He will steer you in the right direction (no pun intended) on when it's time to make a repair or if it is even just time to trade-up for a new car. My car is older & discontinued by its manufacturer, and thus not easy to source parts for. I'm pleased to say that Lau's auto service always finds what I need to fix my vehicle (not the case with other repair garages I've used!) I appreciate the time and thoughtfulness that the staff puts into their work. My car hasn't run this well in *ages* and I'm really pleased with the service. I bring my car here for regular maintenance in addition to big repairs; Lau's caters to all my routine needs like diagnostics, oil changes, wheel alignment and rotation, etc. Very appreciative that Jorge and his crew will help me find the best parts for a great price, and are always up front and honest about billed services. They have got state of the art equipment, and are always improving! This business is truly a class act, and respectable name in the neighborhood. My personal experience with these guys was the worst. The manager named Alex, the son of the owner…read morewas just hustling. The non-speaking (english) employees would direct you to him. Once introduced. He thinks that he has the art of being persuasive, when in all reality. I was pressed for time going away that weekend. I have a warranty on my car because Chrysler was busy I considered them. Now the joke was on me. Spoke to Alex on Monday to come in that Friday with specialist in soft ware repair. 9am was our time. I was there at 845 am. The specialist was present and he knew absolutely nothing. Alex the manager decided to call the owner which is his father. Alex gave me a time that his father will show up, about an hour after his specialist didn't know the job. Now, I go have breakfast at Dunke Donuts, come back. Times flies and 2 hours shoot by and the owner, father / manager arrives with his daughter. We meet and he literally attack my car with no respect. He had no knowledge that was my car. He ripped the lining from my back truck. Step all over my front seat running boards with dirty boots. No respect!! Moved, or should I say droved my car twice around the block to make room for a car to be moved from the garage. Twice this happen. I am sitting there watching this. One of the employees then the manager. Now, this is what burns me the most. As I am sitting around waiting patiently for my service. Other potential clients drives up like I did. Not knowing much ! And they would attend the others with a small staff to attend the new potential clients and leave my car right there! The father would run all around their little space working on other cars. They really had no idea what was wrong with my car. Alex actually had it but he decided to look else where. The battery was the issue. Nothing else, nothing serious at all. But Alex discovered the problem. He torn my car up to ripped a module out of my car and charged me $225 dollars. I was coming back for his service to finish the work. Therefore I left him $225 cash and realize I was totally a damn fool. Went home mad & disgusted at myself for these guys service. I went home immediately to called Chrysler to make an appointment for that Friday. The issue was the battery. Nothing else, the module that they ripped out and didn't put back was working very very well. Yes I took a money loss. Indeed, but I got my car fixed and all things worked out for the best. They charged me $125 for their personal disnogtic and ask me why they couldn't finish the $580 dollar Job that wasn't the problem? I respect family & business. The highlight of this was the daughter. She was very sweet, polite and helpful. Alex the son is hustling. Not knocking him, but insulted me calling me Rick Ross sitting in my chair. ( I looked Nothing like Rick Ross, absolutely nothing!) The only thing we have in common is that we are black and both bald headed. I was wearing a hat. No comparison at all. Height, weight and complexion I don't look like Rick Ross. Mann, I don't even have a beard. WTF !! I felt your tension Alex when you turn my radio down the first time then cut it off the 2nd tine when you heard another rap song. I am not knocking the hustle I am knocking the service. It was the worst. Not the best. I left an hour after my car was done because they had another car behind me getting done that had no front tires on! When I told the owner that he was about to paid me for my day then he realize he had to get me out of there. I was present 845am to 3pm was my day at K&G car repair. I will never go there again. I always say that mechanics are robbers and this experience prove me right !! I left them and I am on the road, The same day!

Benny said he could get me in 20 minutes, and 20 minutes later Benny showed up. Highly recommend whenever you are in that horrible situation of needing a tow.

I was told the oil leak was not related to the work performed, even though the issue started immediately after the engine was taken apart. The check engine light is still on, and there are now more codes than before the repair. I had another mechanic inspect the car, and I was told the work needs to be redone properly. This place is filled with crooks looking to make a quick dime, whether it resolves your issue or…read morenot. I came here for a leak in my car and was assured in complete confidence by Mario that they will get to the bottom of it for $100. That is $100 down the drain and I will describe why. The business mentality and ethics of this "shop" are incredibly stingy, heinous, and possibly criminal. They operate right out of a trailer after moving their location from Sea Cliff for a litany of problems (which I was originally unaware of). They looked like they knew how to operate well on older cars, given that the many times I drove by their lot, 80s-90s vehicles in good shape were parked. Don't let this fool you. Many cars have sat in that lot for over a month. I described where the leak was most intense and at which range the leak occurred. The owner, Mario, looked at me and obliged. I dropped the car off for the day. I can't say it was anything short of shady. My grandfather (with a different last name) knew I dropped the car off, so he stopped by to pick it up before the shop closed. They actually GAVE HIM THE CAR when he agreed to pay. No contact made to me. I could have lost my vehicle altogether if that was a stranger. Of course, they gave no receipt to him. Well less than two months later, I am driving home from work in a rain storm and the SAME region starts leaking again. This time even worse than before. I make plans to revisit Action Autobody the following day to get this resolved. It should be covered under warranty, right?! This is where the situation gets much worse. I get to the trailer and the receptionist is looking at me like I am crazy. After agreeing to look at it, a very shady Hispanic man donning dirty jeans and a shirt steps out from around the trailer. The receptionist and him bicker in Spanish for a minute while I just stand there. The receptionist tells me that he fixed something else the first time. Upon mentioning the company has to standby their "fix" she says that I will need the windshield to be replaced. Completely caught off guard and at a loss for words, I went back into their trailer as a random man drove in blasting loud music. He told the receptionist he is "dropping off one thousand dollars" and on hearing my plea for some warranty to be worked out in name of integrity or a total refund, he told me to bring the car back in six days at 9am. I looked at the receptionist and she agreed, taking down my number. As requested, the car is brought in at 9am and I am told the call-back will be around 12 noon. At 2pm, I receive a call telling me that my windshield needs to be replaced. I am then put on the phone with another person who is telling me that it will cost $250 for the parts and labor. He tells me this is the "wholesale price" and it will not get better. I put it on hold made some searches. The windshield replacements online are quoted from $175 to $1000, so I think my deal is okay. Then I had thought about how I already paid 100$ and had all these strange dealings with the company. I decide to retrieve my car and look for a quote from another mechanic I frequent (for mechanical and some electrical issues). When I went to retrieve my car, I spoke of how the price isn't bad, but it is akin to my paying 350$ for the windshield replacement since I had already given them money. She mentions that it is another company and they "do their own thing with the invoice". The receptionist then began arguing with me because I "told them to do the wrong thing with my car". OUTRAGEOUS. My telling them where the leak is constituted in them getting the wrong diagnosis?? I am quite certain they were aware of the windshield problem the first time they looked at my car too, given the past details. It is a shame they are so greedy to make a profit and have such little trust in their clientele that they will NEGLECT to tell their customers these things. Upset that they were mincing my words and trying to play me for a fool, I demanded to speak with Mario. Receptionist says the owner just had back surgery and is in no shape to talk, and no one else is responsible for the "wrong information" I gave them. The receptionist literally used a medical excuse so they would not have to answer to me. Since I am a medical student, I asked for information on which hospital and vertebrae involved. Intuition tells me this was most likely fabricated. I had asked for a price reduction since I had invested $100 arbitrarily. I mentioned 50-75 dollars less, because Action did look at it and I am not a greedy customer. The following day, no price reduction was granted. What's more, she was trying to sell me their company "warranty". On further inquiry, when pressing for details, their warranty is apparently "different and time-specific based on the job done". Literally no details were given when I asked about the warranty on my roof leak. Avoiding this place. Hopefully review follows this fraudulent business
