This place has a very special place in my heart. All my relatives are from South Jersey and the Philadelphia area, so i have grown to love an amazing Philly Cheesesteak. THIS place is the only place i would ever say makes a REAL Philly cheesesteak. The only reason i gave this place 4 stars and not 5 is bc it is not open on Sunday's. Otherwise i'd make Sunday pilgrimages to this place weekly. The only way i can describe this sandwich is the most moisty meaty steak meat. It really is the meat that makes the magic. Get the special peppers on it too for a real nice kick! They have tons of Philly and Gator's decoration of all things. Odd combination, i like both. The cheesesteaks were solid, but its the cold subs that keep me coming back. Right off the top, one thing you will not complain about with LaSpada's is that they didn't give you enough meat on your sandwich. Holy smokes, they pack about as much as they can into their subs and then throw on some more just because. That is not a bad thing at all because their sandwiches are very good. Certainly better than any of the chain stores like Subway. I have tried a couple of their cheesesteaks and they were both good. But I honestly enjoy their grilled ham and cheese and their cold subs a bit better. Also, keep in mind the amount of meat and toppings you get when deciding on a sandwich size. I have yet to meet a single person who ate the 12 inch sub by themselves in one sitting. Beyond that, the service is fast and friendly. This has been on my list for quite some time. I love a good cheese steak, and I've heard for years that LaSpada's sits nicely in the top two Orlando-area restaurants for a good, authentic Philly cheese steak. I still prefer the sandwiches made by their main competitor in the cheese steak arena (who happens to be far enough away to be hardly considered competition, unless you live equidistant to the two), but that's not to take anything away from their food -- it's fantastic. I ordered a large cheese steak with mushrooms, and "large" was a bit of an understatement. It was overflowing with meat, cheese, onions and mushrooms. It's great enough to earn the four stars despite their less-than-stellar seating area, which is a bit dirty and tends to be the same temperature inside as outside but without the breeze. I tend to overlook things like that when I've got my face in a delicious cheese steak though, so I'd definitely return when I'm in the area. read more

SO DELICIOUS. Husband and I came in to grab some sandwiches since we were spending the day demoing the ol' house. It's kind of hidden in the strip off of Lee Road. The decor is nothing special, but a bunch of friendly men welcomed us from behind the counter. I ordered the cheesesteak with fries and my husband had an Italian sandwich and cajun chips. The sandwiches were incredible! It was about $18 for the two sandwiches, fry, and chips. As we walked out with our take-out, I was starting to think it was a bit pricy... I was wrong. I never really paid attention to this place though I've been to the music store in this plaza a few times. I kept hearing about LaSpada's lately and my friend and I were nearby and he said it was good too so we went. I got the 12" cheesesteak with extra onions and sweet peppers. It was good but not the best I've ever had. It was also huge and packed with meat. They have Herr's potato chips and fountain drinks including sweet tea. This was my first time here and I do have to say it was yummy. It was recommended by Firestone as my car was getting new tires. You first come in and you kind of wonder hmm, by the look not normally somewhere I would just come straight into, but oh my goodness!! It was amazing!! It was crowded with people that were equally enjoying what they purchased. The employees were all informative and friendly. This is one of my favorite spots to pick up for lunch at work. I love both the cheesesteak and the chicken cheesesteak. The sandwiches come in multiple sizes and are filled with meat, so much so when eating some of the extra meat might fall out. They do not skimp on that at all. It is possible to customize toppings, which I normally do, by adding extra cheese, mushrooms, onions, etc. The curly fries are also so great. The only downside I have really experienced is that they seem to be out of the curly fries a lot recently. They normally still have the seasoned fries, which are good, but not as good, as the curly ones. I would definitely recommend trying LaSpada's for lunch. read more

Located on Lee Road in a old Shopping Plaza. You might not think to go there if your from out of town given its location. Thank you Yelp for helping me find this place! I probably would have never tried LaSpada if it weren't for yelp. This is not a place you would pass by and say "that looks good lets stop there". Inside is decorated with lots of Philly type memorabilia. Places to sit but nothing fancy actually kinda dirty looking. The food a different story... My favorite is the Italian sub. Tons of meat and you can put what you want on it. Huge and delicious! Cheesesteak and meatball subs are other great choices. LaSpada's is the kind of place you walk up to thinking, "This place better have good food because it looks like a dump!". Well, LaSpada's does not disappoint. The inside has a grimy, disheveled appearance similar to the outside. Make your way to the back counter where you place your order. I ordered the mushroom cheesesteak combo with curly fries. I waited for my to-go order in some nearby chairs. The kitchen was bustling with hurried cooks and bursting with the yummy smells of good food a-cookin'. My cheesesteak was ready about 5 minutes later- absolutely piping hot. I so wanted to try it but it was a good 10 minutes before it could be eaten without burning my mouth. Boy, it was worth the wait! Ooey, gooey, cheesy goodness! It was actually smaller than I expected but delicious nevertheless. The fries were your standard seasoned curly fries and went well with the sandwich. Staff was only as friendly as the had to be and no more. Today we decided to go out for lunch once again and La Spada's came to mind. Holy Meat!!!!! It is still really good. It is still really popular at lunch. The bread (white bread) is soft and tasty; It is everything that sandwich bread should be. The meat is fresh. The veggies are fresh. I was pleased to see bright red tomatoes on my sandwich. I ordered the Italian special with everything except the peppers and it was meaty goodness. The 8 inch is good enough for most humans. I probably should have taken half of it home....but I didn't.....I ate it all. Now tummy all sore. Skip the chips. Seriously. You will be too full to eat them. More tips: Be patient. I think anyone complaining on here has to be from philly and is used to their corner store that made theirs for so many years nothing else tastes right. This place will make you want to slap some people up in Philly it's so damn good. The place is a little small. I'd recommend just grabbing and going. I do believe they deliver to certain areas. One issue I have with this place are the hours. They seem to close around 5-ish I believe. Which sucks because I would destroy some LaSpada's for dinner!! Oh well. Still worth checking out. Best authentic Philadelphia cheesesteaks and hoagies in Orlando. Go hungry, you will get filled up. LaSpada's serves real Philadelphia fare using the right meats, and most importantly, the right rolls. They bring in Amoroso rolls from Philadelphia (only one size of their rolls are Amoroso, but their others are close in quality). As every good Phillyphile will tell you, there are two options for hoagie and steak rolls and Amoroso is one. Neither are readily available outside the city. Both help make the sandwich. Cheesesteaks here are served fresh, piping hot with generous amounts of steak. They are even more generous with the meat and cheeses on their hoagies. Although other local supermarkets and chains have good sandwiches, they pale in comparison. The place usually has Herr's chips and Tastykakes to help compliment the Philadelphia experience. Dining in is fine, but don't expect frills. Its exactly like a deli/hoagie place should be. Take out works fine here as well. If you're bringing a sandwich back to the office, you will have jealous co-workers. Its not easy to find in a strip mall off Lee Road, but its worth driving a little. I've been going to Laspadosx for many years since I discovered it while passing by. It's worth the 40 minute drive. The cheesesteak is great. At least as good if not better then any I have ate in Philadelphia. They use excellent steak that is tender and tasty and grill it perfectly. They pack the sandwich with lots meat and cheese. I get mine with onions, green peppers, mushrooms and onions. Then I get a side of hot peppers which I add to it as i devour this mammoth sandwich. The roll is also very good. Fresh and just the tight consistency. Next is an Italian hoagie. Many options to choose from on toppings. I get oil and vinegar oregano and onions and then I again get the side of hot peppers which are amazing. They also have great sweet peppers which I add on the side sometimes as well. Again the sandwich is overstuffed with meat and cheese. Great combinations of Italian meats with wonderful spices. Next I like the sausage peppers and onion sandwich. Great Italian sausage. Delicious and just the perfect spices. My wife like the BLT. The bacon is delicious. Cooked perfectly and great taste. They overstuff sandwich so there is always some extra leftover. My daughter liked the chicken cheesesteak. Chicken was tender and tasty. Don't forget the French fries. Served hot and just the right amount of crispness. Staff always very hospital and accommodating. Suggest you try to avoid lunchtime. The line can get long but it does move quickly. read more

Best cheesesteak and hoagies in Orlando. Period. It's a dive - and not super appealing from a visual aesthetic stand point. But don't let the rugged interior/exterior of the place fool you. This place is legit. I just visited Philly and couldn't help comparing the cheesesteaks to La Spada's - it's the closest thing to Philly but with far better service. I would often take work colleagues here for work and they were always impressed with the food quality. The cold hoagies are so big you'll probably half enough left over for a second meal. I've recently tried this place a couple times for lunch now. The Cheesesteak is just ok, there is a much better place in St. Cloud and a few others around I've tried. They barely put any cheese or toppings on the sandwich but there was plenty of meat. The first time I had a Traditional Cheesesteak the second time I tried the Supreme Chicken cheesesteak and the chicken was very dry. Service was super slow. It took over 30 minutes to get my food both times and they were visibly and loudly arguing behind the counter. There were several frustrated customers who were waiting for their lunch like me. The area is open where they cook the food, so you see, and hear, what is happening. I was hoping for better, after the second trip I doubt Ill be back. read more

Had my first experience at LaSpada. I never knew it was right around the corner from me - could spell trouble for my diet! I ordered the mushroom cheesesteak as is - It was great! But, they could use a good deep cleaning. The kitchen is visible and I watched the chef work her magic but you could also see how dirty everything was. The grill had old residue on sides, the ventilation was cased in grease and floors had layers of old food lying around. It left me wondering if I would regret it later...
