The four minute walk would be on the 2 lane highway with little to no shoulder. I have young children and kayaks and this would absolutely not work for us. We drove up the road to another campground and found a space there. After setting up camp, we drove up to J&J to inform them that we would no longer need the space at their campground. The gentleman we spoke to said, "that's not my problem. You're still getting charged." My reservation was written on a yellow legal pad and they don't have my credit card information so I'm certain I won't be charged for anything. My 2 star rating is for the attitude we were given after informing the host that we no longer needed space there and because when I made the reservation, I was not informed that this campground is nowhere near the lake.
