I hadn't been to this store in a few years and finally made it to that side of the valley. There was a crazy amount of people just standing around not looking at anything, but just standing there like some weird M. Night Shyamalan movie. I headed to the shoes. Oh my! Goodwill would not sell you these type of shoes. I don't care what the label is, if the sole is falling apart it is no good. Some shoes had a layer of dirt in the bottom. Did they get the shoes after the P.F. Changs marathon? maybe... I quickly skimmed the handbags. They were beat within an inch of their existence. Hard pass. The clothing section resembled the chair in my room in my college days. Meaning there were hoards and hoards of clothes just thrown around. No hanger, no mercy. Found a few shirts but there were obvious damage and for the price....not in this economy ma'am. The check out line was slow....like MVD slow. I didn't get anything due to comparing the time is money aspect of that line. To be honest, I don't have the time to spend to really go Indiana Jones treasure hunting in that place. I've been coming to last chance for over 5 years, and I've got to say in the last month that I have visited I noticed some changes that made me wonder if there is a new management/new operator for last chance. I've notice the employees arranging the clothing and stocking items are not as profesional as the ones I remembered. In the past month that I have shopped at last chance I've heard employees talking about "rude customers" as the customers are there shopping (myself included in the shopping). I've seen employees just chatting with each other and when shoppers come to ask questions the employees looked very bothered. Fun spot to hunt for items you never knew you needed. Tends to be a flurry of bargain hunters. Brand names, returns, overstock, last season items from Nordstrom all flow through this massive outlet. During the morning people wait in line for the store to open to find great items. Very cheap items for name brand shoes, clothes, & purses. It can get pretty packed and crazy. YUK! The store is gross and dirty. I remembered why I have not been here in like 25 years. Things all over the floor and the wait to check out wraps around the store and is very time consuming. Nowhere to try on shoes and the aisles are narrow and crowded. Not Covid safe. Not a mask in sight. Now, if you like really expensive items, shoes, and clothes you might find them cheaper here and get a great deal. If you like brand names then this store is for you so check it out. However, beware, you need to triple your shopping time. I would also bring hand sanitizer with you, even after Covid is long gone. The shelves are even sticky. Shudder. I come here or one thing and one thing only: THE BARGAINS. You simply can't walk into a fast food chain and expect a 4 star restaurant experience. So be aware of what you're getting into. Last Chance has its own culture. You better roll those sleeves up and wear some comfortable shoes because most people get their physical activity here on a Sunday afternoon. You have people rushing to get into aisles and grabbing from shelves. People have piles and piles of clothing, shoes and accessories in their shopper's bag. You almost think "who would wear that". THere's something nostalgic about this place, as I've been coming here for many years growing up with my parents. So here I am, looking at the options. I've managed to pick up a pair of shoes, a WHOLE SUIT, some casual shirts and dress shirts. It's quite the deal to be able to get these items for nearly 80% off their original price. Meh...I'm not sold. Maybe if you're after women's clothes and shoes and not looking for anything specific, and you get here when they open, you can score some good deals. My husband was excited to take me here after he had found a couple great deals on nice shoes, including some Magnanni's for our wedding. We arrived in the afternoon on a Sunday, and the place was like a post-apocalyptic Black Friday. They ask that you wear masks, but COVID restrictions are pretty much nonexistent, and the crowds are overwhelming. You will be bumped into, including by employees stocking racks and women with carts and strollers full of clothes and children. The men's shoes area has been drastically reduced to a small corner, so my husband found nada. I went through rack after rack of shoes, tops, and dresses in my size and managed to find only one thing: a cute Calvin Klein sundress for $9. Seemed like it may have been a return, but I saw Dillard's was carrying it on their website for $78. It was almost not worth waiting in the ridiculously long checkout line though. Come with a partner and divide and conquer if you're shopping. Have someone stand in line while you grab your items. Also, strollers should be outlawed here, and the carts are ridic. Man, this place is something else. If you have the patience (keyword), then you'll love this Place. You could literally spend all day hereg. It can be a little overwhelming so don't visit the store when you're tired. I did that after a long day at work and I regretted it. I just needed to know what all the fuss was about since I'm from California and I love a great deal. When I walked in, I noticed some really cute metal baskets, coats galore and all the people. I started with the lingerie section since I heard you can get some great deals on bras. They are thrown onto large tables in gigantic piles. I saw some great ones and I didn't buy them or try them on. I regretted this a couple of days later so I went back to buy them and they were gone. The Hotel shuttle driver warned me that if I liked something, then don't put it down. just buy it! I also looked through some accessories and shirts. I found a deal on some Zella headbands. These are great. I also saw some great deals on wedding veils. I'm so mad that I didn't buy. They were only $3.97 and were absolutely beautiful. This place has a huge shoe section. I just didn't have the strength to go in. Although I did look around the boot area that was outside. They had a lot of nice looking shoes in good condition. Beware of the makeup that they sell. No manners at all and Maria will absolutely send one of her kids over to take things out of your cart (this has actually happened to me several times lol). Tons and tons of resellers grab all of the shoes as soon as the store opens and throw everything they don't want on the floor. Where are these people raised? Last chance clearance is one of those stores where you're able to buy clothing from stores like Nordstrom, Macy's, etc at more affordable costs. However, I did not have a good experience at all in all areas. Below are my pros and cons Pros - A variety of clothing at reduced pricing - large selection of clothes Cons - Pricing is not cheap. Pricing is very similar to MsRP pricing and almost makes it not worth it to purchase - it can get packed especially on the weekends. It's almost a joke to walk around when it gets that busy. - The clothing is nothing special. Overall, it's not as good as other places you can shop at especially when you compare the pricing. Not a fan and will most likely not come back. Reason for two stars rather than 1 is because of the selection and size of store, but that's it. read more

MOTHERLODE OF DEALS! We drove across the country from Oregon to Maryland and I made sure to ask my husband to stop at this last call and the one in Lombard, IL. This one was way more crowded and disorganised with stuff strewn all over but I also got way better deals here! You can spend HOURS here digging through piles of clothes and getting lost in shelves of shoes. I'll never ever again spend $1000 on valentinos as I bought a pair for $100 here! This place is a mad house! So many people were lined up on a Tuesday night to check out and the store was packed with shoppers. There were many good deals to be had including YSL bags and clutches for 400-600, Tory Burch leather bags and nylon totes in the 50-175 range, boat loads of Rebecca Minkoff waist bags for 50 amongst other steals. Shoes and clothing were strewn about but premium denim from brand such as AG were priced at 30-50. I spied a pair of Valentino rock stud heels being picked up by a woman as I was leaving the store! Absolutely love this store. I have purchased plenty of items from Last chance. I bought a Dagne Dover travel purse that retails for $300 for $40. $250 uggs for $40 in perfect condition. Canali men's pants that retail from $400-$500 from $20-$50. There's countless bargains here, people just need to have the patience to go through it all. I've been multiple times and it is in disarray but what do people expect? There's a lot of people coming in and out of the aisles trying to find what they want before someone else does. This place is garbage. It's always too crowded and people are shoving past you. In my most recent experience I found a pair of shoes I really liked and I could only try them on one at a time due to the plastic thing keeping the pair together (I get it) and they seemed good but upon getting them home and trying them on together the heel of one is completely wonky and they are unusable. This isn't a lack of inspection prior to purchasing this was really unfair and I don't even know how I could've prevented this o utcome. Aggressive shopping will not be tolerated!!! Nordstrom Last Chance is for hardcore bargain shoppers. It's all organized until the doors open, then those first two hours each day is madness. There are new things, there are old things and there a returned items, lots of them. This is Nordstrom's national clearing house for returned items. If you ever bought something from Nordstrom's, wore it once or twice and didn't like it and returned it, it probably ended up here. If you want a laidback, relaxing shopping experience, this is not it, but tallying up your goodie bag at the end of the day should leave you satisfied. All treasure hunting takes some work. If you revel in finding that brand name item for 80% off, you have a chance at that here. If you come on a weekend, or a holiday weekend, the items will be more picked through and you might not find much. I came over a Memorial Day weekend and there weren't any men's clothing items I wanted, but I did pick up three pairs of designer dress shoes. It was so picked through that day that I couldn't even find any kids clothes to buy. But the shoes I did find were very good shoes. One pair was worn once or twice, $400 down to $40. Most of the shoes I saw were new or practically new (worn once or twice), but maybe about 10% of their shoes show heavy wear. Most of the men's clothing I saw was new or practically new. You do need to check all items for stains, holes, alterations. The men's section took me a couple of hours to go through, while the women's section would take double the time if you are going through every piece. They do restock during the day, but the best stuff is usually on the floor right when they open. What I love is that you have the chance to find that Italian, French or American designer item for a fraction of the cost. There are tons of brand names, you just need to look. Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Toms, Uggs, Magnanni, Ferragamo, Band of Outsiders, Hugo Boss, Cole Haan, Gucci, Dior, North Face, Nike, Billy Reid, Joe's Jeans are just some of the names that you might be able to pick through depending on the day. Some items are even current season. How crazy can it get here? They post signs that they will kick you out if you shop aggressively. No surrounding the stockers as they place new items on the racks. They may also place designer item limits to deter resellers. Don't be that girl that snatches things out of people's hands. No evil eye stares. Shop like a normal person! Shopping here is an actual business for people. I got a Kate Spade purse and wallet and a dozen pair of designer shoes all at a great price! The con is that it gets crowded. As a frequent Nordstrom Rack shopper, I have been dying to come here for years (I don't live in AZ). I read the reviews so I had some idea of what to expect. I didn't mind showing up early to wait 35 minutes outside of the store, with the hopes of finding great deals awaiting me inside. I did find a few good things, but was a little disappointed overall. First, the cons: the store was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. It's about the size of a small Nordstrom Rack. As soon as you enter, people swarm around the open bins, throwing purses from one container into the next (yes, even the bin you're digging into). Imagine digging a hole, only to have someone throwing dirt back into it. Next, the purses are WAY overpriced. A Chloe bag so beat up, with pen stains covering the interior, priced at $450. A dirty Marc Jacobs bag with worn corners and crumbs inside $300. A good condition Kate Spade bag was still $150. I went there specifically to find high end designer brands. You can find some good deals in the shoes, but most are badly worn. There was a pair of Miu Miu sandals that looked like they had been worn every day for a year, priced at $135. I got lucky and found 2 Jimmy Choo flats in good condition for $100 each. Don't waste your money on Sam Edelman, DV, etc. You can get this stuff in much better condition at a Rack store for the same price or less. I went there in May so there were great deals on sweaters priced at $10, plus an addtl 40% off. Most were junior brands though so not top quality. I found flannel pj pants (brand new condition) for $3 each. I think you'd have to be a frequent shopper to get the best deals here. But be prepared for pandemonium and lots of rude shoppers. read more

TRY ON EVERYTHING!!! All sales are final. You can count on the women's dressing room line to be long. And there I almost always someone here with an attitude problem. Go on the wrong day (erhmmm, like Saturdays) and you're likely to get into an altercation. The women that shop here are VERY aggressive...to the point that the store have to make frequent announcements discouraging such behavior and stating the punishment if catch in the act. I've found a lot of gems here. I've walked out of here on several occasions feeling like I ripped the place off! I found Ralph Lauren dresses for $12, Michael Kors and Vince Camuto shoes - $15, Frye and Cole Haan boots - $40, True Religion and Paige jeans - $39, Gucci bag - $350. Last Chance is like an outlet stores outlet, yes, the discounts are that great!... when you find them at least. It is a love hate relationship with Last Chance, some days you can find extraordinary deals and sometimes, you'll find nothing. It really depends on when you go, if you're lucky enough to arrive around the times they get their shipments you can snag some pretty good deals. If you come towards end of day, the goods are usually gone. I'm so serious on the deals though, I've gotten $3.00 sports bras and shirts for $2.98 easy. A lot of them are even brand name, I've seen Ted Baker, Calvin Klein, Top Shop and lots more. Warning! Last chance is one of those stores where you have to dig, search and hunt for clothing! You might find an XL in the S section, or you might find and item with only one size and it's not the size you're looking for. Nothing is really sized or sorted! In my experience, the staff has always been polite, and tried their best to work quickly since the store get trashed so easily and the lines build so fast. They try, but there's only so many workers and SOOO MANY customers. You can tell they're trying their best, but it's a war zone. Sometimes you win, something you lose... I mean learn! Come at the right time, and you shouldn't walk out empty handed. I wouldn't say Last Chance is one of my favorites, but you def find some good deals here. read more
