Strange of the strange.. This local dive bar is also a little museum that tells the story of Alieen Wuornos a Florida woman serial killer. It has a little museum in the back. Everything is very old and dirty.. it's a dive bar. I'd like to check this place out during bike week. Bartenders were friendly We came here on a Saturday afternoon in June. Not much going on but it was a great stop to have a beer and learn a little history.

This place is interesting to say the least lol the bartender fit the vibe and I guess they only serve beer here, no hard alcohol unfortunately (4 stars) the bartender did have a cold seltzer drink for me though. Great place to check out, especially if you're a true crime junkie! I've been out to Daytona for Biketoberfest, but this looks like a cool place to hang out during bike week if I'm ever in the area during that time!

This experience was EXACTLY what I was hoping for ! Bikers, Dive Bar Lovers & Serial Killer Junkies Alike! THE WORLD FAMIUS LAST RESORT BAR IS A MUST VISIT! Located in Daytona... Port Orange, to be specific is the world famous bar, where Aileen Wuornos the first female, serial killer frequented! - "ice, cold beer, and killer women" Is written on the welcome billboard and can be found in various spots throughout the dive bar - the owner Al zeimer is incredibly kind and welcoming, hilarious and full of wonderful stories about Aileen herself ! What it was like to know her, drink with her & Ofcourse photos of filming with Charlize Theron. This is the only place in the world. You can buy the official T-shirt from the bar with aileen's photo on it. - The beers are ice cold, the bar is a classic dive bar with macabre vibes, Polaroids & signatures from ROOF TO FLOORBOARD, complete with a BIG bad a$$ outdoor area and stage ! - We visited this bar in the afternoon, but I can't wait to come back and experience the nightlife for myself... By far, even if you're not interested in serial killers, this is one of the coolest dive bars to visit, everyone is friendly, and I just can't think of a better atmosphere or better stories to drink around! - I cannot wait to visit again !

I've been coming to The Last Resort as part of my Daytona Bike Week for as long as I can remember! Fantastic biker bar with a nice back bar and courtyard area. Bartenders are great!

I was so excited to stop at this bar not only for the famous Aileen Wuornos. But for the hole in the wall feel. It's definitely a good dive bar, very welcoming patrons and owner. Bull is very nice, After serving us beers he gladly gave us a tour of Aileen memorabilia. In shock by her real photos, shes much prettier then the movie projected. It was fascinating reading a news article about the haunting Aileen has brought to Last Resort since 02'. Before leaving al signed my beer bottle! Thanks for a great time!

    A work of 'art.'

The Last Resort is a true biker dive bar. Its the infamos bar where Florida female serial killer Aileen Wuornos used to pick up men. They have fully embraced their noteriety. Her image is everywhere, giving the place a macabre history. Beyond that, its a good place to just hang out. Its a place for bikers. Behind the building is a bigger area to walk around and take in the 'ambiance.' They even have a shop to get your tshirt.

So awesome to enjoy a great top notch dive bar with a serial killer history. The owner is a knowledgeable fun guy I sat at the outside bar Aileen Wuornos was arrested in this bar she killed 7 men and would sleep outside where the back bar is. It's possibly one of the most awesome dive bars I've ever been too. The movie Monster was filmed here starring Charlize Theron who won an academy award for her portrayal of Aileen Wuornos the first female serial killer...

Worth a visit when in Daytona Beach! A real "dive" bar! It even has a pinch of history!

(seeing them in May-excite!) I don't think this place is associated with the lighthouse but it's conveniently located and easy to walk across the street to. They have indoor and outdoor seating so depending on the weather-your preference, you can still enjoy. Any time there's food and a large body of water close by, it's sure to be a good time. They do have a bird. He seemed to be a regular because everyone knew about him and servers laughed about him. I heard one guy say that they sell some kind of shrimp there to feed him so I suspect that's why he has created his home. They probably can't even kick him out. I wanted oysters. I needed them. Not the best I've had but they were good and didn't make me sick so a win. Had I died from them,(Wind Walkers-"Just be sure when you leave, you leave me in a body bag"). At this particular moment, I wasn't sure if they'd be enough so I did order the Island Pork Wrap - key lime pork ribeye, rice, pineapple, mango, peppers, and onions. It was good but a bit heavy. I ate half of it and took the other half. I saw rice, pineapple, mango and needed it. The pork was the lacking part. My wife had the same thing but the bowl version. She ate all of it. We did order the fried green tomatoes as well. Delicious as most green tomatoes are. I'd certainly visit this place again. They had a large menu/huge variety. The atmosphere was good. The food was good(at least ours was). The service was absent at times but it might just be one of those places where you have to flag someone down. It was middle of the day on a Wednesday so it wasn't that busy but it did seem like it took our meal a while to be brought out. Not a big deal because we were killing time anyway but something to keep in mind if you have somewhere to be. I wish I could apply this lyric to the place: "Even when I'm cold, I will love so loud", but I can't. I still liked it though. If you're hungry, this place will satisfy.

The restaurant has indoor seating with A/C and outside seating including a bar and grill area. Even a little gift shop inside. The views are beautiful and the water is crystal clear. It's a pretty large property in case you have a large group. The service was ok and the food was even better. We started off with the "Hatch Calamari' which came with an interesting sweet Thai chili sauce. I've never had it with black olives and pepperoncinis. It was also much thicker than I'm used to, but it worked. The calamari were excellent. Thin batter with the calamari perfectly fried and not gummy. I highly recommend them! I had the "fried shrimp basket" which was ok. It's your standard semi-soggy fries (even after asking them fried crispy) and the jumbo shrimps were just ok, they were a bit too hard. My wife had the "She Crab Soup" which might have been the star of the show. Looks are deceiving because it surely tastes better than it looks. It's a light brown color and really thick consistency but tasted great! The taste sneaks up on you. Seasoned perfectly and I would definitely recommend it. Overall we had a pleasant experience and will definitely be back!
