Side note - there was spilled food on the floor at the head of a table near us. I watched the server literally stand on top of it more than once while working the table. On a trip to the area and found this place. Slow night but greeted as soon as we entered by two nice hostess. We sat at the bar and meet Andrew. He was great and full of energy. We met friends for lunch (their choice). Our friend got the bacon cheeseburger, with fries, his wife ordered nothing. ?? My husband ordered the oysters (6) Rockefeller, which he said was just alright, but they didn't taste fresh tasted like canned or bottle oysters put on the shell. I ordered a side salad, which was missing the lettuce, there was hardly any. I requested to get a kids meal the cod fish fingers, and was told the manager said no, that their fish dinner was COD. I do not like beer batter, and the kids fish diner, looked like it was not in beer batter. After eating I asked why she didn't order anything. Was told that they do not have anything she could eat. A nice place to eat after going out on the boat for the day. The tiki drinks are fun and flavorful and the food isn't bad at all. The lobster roll here is amazing among pretty much all the other food but what I love the most about the lobster roll and yes it's my fav, I love that it's 1. Tasty amazing flavor 2. They are biiiig 3. The lower level is enclosed and air conditioned. It had standard table and chairs and can accommodate small and large groups. It had covered outdoor area with fans. This is the only level that can accommodates ADA requirements. There was live music on the 2nd level. There is a full bar on both level. The upstairs is an open air deck that has high top tables that overlook the Halifax river. There is no rest rooms on this level but has an elevator or stairs to the 1st floor ones. Note: wheelchairs would not work on the open air deck as all the tables are high tops. Food/Drink 4/5 We had peel and eat shrimp (hot) that was excellent. We also ordered chicken wings. They were baked first and then finish them off grilling for flavor. They were a little too crispy for me but my wife loves them. If you don't like them really crispy then ask them for a little less done. Drinks we kept simple with a couple of hard seltzer. They were actually very good. Everything else had absolutely zero flavor, not even salt. I was very disappointed to have a nice family outing and spend upwards of $150 on horrible food. My biggest gripe is the price of the premium beers such as Jai Alai. Two beers and you could have had a meal for God's sake. All of the restaurants around here charge way to much for beer except for Incas 360 in Port Orange. The place is well kept however and the employees are very friendly. Come for the Happy Hour, Stay for the Disappointment Let me set the scene: a group of five walks into Tiki Docks, ready to enjoy some drinks and apps during their hyped-up happy hour from 3-6pm. What we got instead? A front-row seat to chaos, indifference, and the fine art of dodging customers. We waited over 15 minutes just to be noticed, only to witness a waitress literally argue with a bartender over who had to deal with us. Spoiler alert: she won that battle, and the poor bartender got stuck with us--lucky him, right? At that point, we could already tell we were about as welcome as a tax audit. To add to the charm, this same waitress (the one who didn't want to serve us) made sure the table behind us knew they needed to place their happy hour orders before 5:55pm. Super helpful--just not for us. We got no heads-up, just the bartender who kept dodging our attempts to order with a classic, "I'll be back in a few minutes." Was this a clever strategy to stall us out of happy hour pricing? Because it worked like a charm. Meanwhile, a table of six friends who came in 10 minutes after us were seated, served, and happily eating while we sat wondering if we'd somehow become invisible. Their food came 30 minutes before ours--impressive efficiency when you're not being ignored. When our food finally made its grand entrance, it was... meh. I ordered the lobster rolls, which looked decent at first--until I realized they just plopped a couple chunks of lobster on top of the bun to make it look full. Nice illusion. When I picked one up, it was basically a lobster mirage. I had to mash the pitiful scraps together to create one half-hearted, half-filled roll. Bravo. Another person in our group ordered a burger medium well--so naturally, it arrived rare. At this point, we were just impressed they got the food to the table at all. Oh, and the menus? Sticky, filthy, with food remnants stuck between the pages--because nothing says "appetizing" like wondering what crusty surprise you'll find next. In short, the service was a mess, the food was half-assed, and the experience? One for the books--if that book is titled "How Not to Run a Restaurant." We'll be shocked if this place is still open the next time we're in Daytona. We certainly won't be back to find out. read more

This restaurant sits right on the water near the Dunlawton Bridge in Port Orange with very nice waterfront views. Downstairs offers indoor dining but there is also a second story outside seating area, but depending on the time of day it might not be shaded and could be quite hot! Being mid August and 95 outside we went with indoors downstairs! Our waiter Nick was okay, I wouldn't say great but certainly took care of us. I ordered the Tampa Cuban, other entrees on our table were the Lobster roll and kids Quesadilla. The quesadilla was a big size for a kid portion and apparently tasty as my grandson finished it without me giving a single bite!! My wife ordered the lobster roll and said it was delicious, she upgraded to the Yuca fries with that and those I did try and they were really good too, hot and crispy. The Tampa Cuban is something I previously ordered at the Tiki Docks in Riverview Florida. The twist on "The Tampa Cuban" is it has salami in addition to pork, ham, Swiss and pickles. The thing I enjoy most is they use mojo roasted shredded pork that is made in house and not sliced cold cut type that some places use, that makes their version tender, smooth and full of flavor. Our first time visit to Tiki Docks did not disappoint. Serenity our server skillfully serviced our table delivering tasty beverages and delicious food. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the Hawaii Mai Tai and the order of Chicken Quesadilla. My 3D Beach Blonde beer and order of Pork Quesadilla was equally satisfying. Save room for dessert! We shared a piece of mud pie and it was delicious! We especially appreciated the incredible service and the Manager stopping by to answer questions regarding preparation and egg allergy concerns. I watched this place being built and had several not so great experiences in the previous establishment, but the space is absolutely perfect! Great views, nice breezes. We had a really good server. The timing of our drinks and food was great. I mention this only because anyone who went there before it was Tiki Docks, knows that wasn't the case in the former restaurant. The menu is far simpler, which I appreciate and while the food was fresh it wasn't very flavorful. The exceptions were the shrimp toast and burger and fries. They were excellent! The ahi app was a decent amount of good ahi, but neither it nor the accompanying sauce tasted like anything. Soy and wasabi on the side would definitely be welcome. The grouper tacos were again fresh and well presented but had no flavor. The rice and beans were delicious. To be honest, I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars, but am hopeful that other items are more flavorful. I liked a lot about Tiki Docks, I'll definitely give it another try. read more
