This business is an actual deli, which seems to be dying off each decade, leaving what's in the supermarkets t the only options. Shamrock provides so much, that I'd say that breakfast and lunch or breakfast and dinner can easily be ordered from there on days that you just don't feel like cooking.

Her words, at my suggestion to meet up at Chick's, were "Definitely, that place is amazing but... How'd you hear about it?!" They clearly do tons of pick up orders and stay busy despite being an off peak time. It took a while to figure out if I was standing in the right spot. (This is another good sign) The chicken noodle soup was amazing. My toddler loved the torpedo. My cheesesteak with fried onions and cooper sharp was everything that I wanted it to be.

When I opened the sandwich, I was worried that I wasn't going to like it because the roll had cracks in it. My experience has been that that happens when the bread sits out in the open and gets hard and crumbles. Surprisingly, the roll was soft and fresh. The meat tasted delicious. It was a good sandwich. The second half was even better after chilling in the fridge for a while. I would definitely go back again if I am in the area. UPDATE: I went back here in October 2016 to get sandwiches for mom and I for the football game. My turkey was delicious. Mom enjoyed her Italian but was a little disappointed in the meat selection. She said: I thought the roll was good (light and very soft). I was a little disappointed of the amount of meat that was on the hoagie. I was looking for a more variety of Italian lunch meat (capocollo, genoa salami and prosciutto). Overall the hoagie was very good.

This deli is definitely not closed!!! The unassuming exterior and tiny interior made us pause a bit, but we had just finished our trip to the aquarium and were tired, hot, and hungry. We definitely wanted to find a quieter, healthier alternative to the aquarium café. Once inside, we were greeted warmly, and the countermen made our orders quickly and efficiently. My husband wasn't sure what he wanted - he was waffling between 3 sandwich choices, and the counterman winked at him and said, "how about if I make you 1/2 each of two of them? I'll surprise you!" My husband agreed, and he had the most delicious-looking corned beef sandwiches I've seen in a long time. I ordered a salad with some chicken salad on the side, and everything was extremely fresh and crisp. The guys even made ketchup smiley faces on the kids' plates. All the staff were friendly and helpful, offering to carry my loaded tray, and answering questions about the area. They even went so far as to introduce me to some of the staff from the battleship USS New Jersey anchored down the river, who happened to be in the deli, so that I could ask them directly about that attraction. Best place to eat while visiting the aquarium! I was very concerned about the long line, lack of healthy options, and high prices at the aquarium. Decided to walk outside and didn't regret it. Also, you can get a stamp at the aquarium, so you can continue your visit there after a bite at Bains. read more

I always felt like Pastificio was similar to Primo hoagies, but slightly better because they didn't go big and stayed true to what makes them best. Service and quality. A solid area mainstay.
