Excellent Cuban food! Was staying in the area for business and needed dinner late on a Monday evening. Had enjoyed dining at their original location in Coral Gables in the last so wanted to give this one a try and it was great! We sat outside on their side patio and enjoyed the breeze and ambiance. Ordered the Modelo Negra, Fried Cheese appetizer, and Churrasco chicken- All were great! The price was great for the location and the server was super nice and attentive. The food is decent. There was no wow factor. I ordered the chimichurri chicken with plantains and...a salad I think. Clearly the food wasn't memorable. My chicken was on the dry side. Appetizers were tostones and ceviche. Definitely basic. Everyone had leftovers- no one took them home. They have a bar- I'd go back for drinks. This is a classic Cuban restaurant and I mean that in the best way. Places like this really represent the heart of Miami's food scene. While you usually find these spots in local neighborhoods, this location clearly caters more to tourists, which makes sense given the location. I ordered the Palomilla steak and it was delicious. My fiancée had the Vaca Frita, and while she liked it, she did wish it was a bit crispier. The service was fantastic friendly, attentive, and even funny. I took the train to work today and as I walked passed LC2000, I immediately craved a tostada and cafe con leche. I arrived at 8:50a, there was a gentleman being served and he was waiting on his tostada. They served him, acknowledged me and said they'd be right with me. I ordered at 8:56a. No big deal but also, they were socializing and that was the delay. I ordered a tostada, cafe con leche and a croqueta to go. I paid and then the waiting began. This is a ventanita.... I got my coffee at 9:09a, then the tostada and croqueta a little bit after. In conclusion, DONT GO HERE IN A HURRY!! Came here late on a Taco Tuesday ($2 off tacos) for a cuban sandwich and some tacos. Our party wishes we would have just gotten sandwiches. The cuban sandwich here is actually really, really good. One of the best I've had so 8.5/10 for that. The extra large was only $1 more, so got that. They also cut the sandwich length-wise, so that was a nice change from the typical triangular cut most sandwiches are cut. The pollo tacos were quite dry, so while the slaw and crema sauce were tasty, they couldn't hide the dryness of the chicken. Maybe it was because we got there near closing? This was my second time visiting, and sadly, it confirmed my initial impression that it's not for me. This time, I ordered the Pan Con Lechón--a safe choice I thought would be delicious--but it turned out to be just ok. The location is excelente, and the waitresses are friendly and welcoming, adding to a great ambience. However, the food itself needs some work. El Cafe cubano está muy bueno por lo menos. There is a takeout window where you can order your food to go. I liked the interior design. In the back there is a nice bar area with a Taste of Cuba sign. It helps to give an experience of being in Cuba and enjoying a nice meal. I sat down and ordered a Cubano sandwich. It is a nice sandwich on Cuban bread with ham and pork with Swiss cheese and pickles. The sandwich was very bland with slightly burnt. It was not as enjoyable as I made it in my mind. I should have ordered the extra-large sandwich for a dollar more. That would have been worth it as I would have at least been full at the end. All of the staff were super nice and did a very good job of explaining the menu since it's in Spanish. The dish was cooked to perfection and all the flavors were amazing!!!! Service: My husband and I arrived about an hour and a half before closing, however the service was great and the server was very friendly and attentive and he did not rush us at all. Ambiance: The interior was pretty cool, I liked the bar area, however didn't get photo of it. As for the tables inside was pretty standard. Upon entering there was a table with a decorated skeleton couple. Not sure if this is always there or if it's just there for October season. The worst experience, they don't allow anyone inside unless you sit down at the table. Manager Victor Pérez very rude and server Yasser which had no business in our conversation stated unless I go outside and order at the counter I could not be served. There are no signs to state this . Just rude and no empathy for people spending their $ here. After calling HR and the owner apparently they are quite ok with this kind of rude customer service. After also reviewing other reviews it's not the 1st time Manager Victor Pérez is reviewed as rude with customers. It's an OK place overall - we just needed a quick bite near last day of our stay and this one fit the bill. I'll say their empanadas are pretty good with satisfying amount of filling, but no comment on their omelettes or coffee. They also did not serve freshly squeezed juice, only canned stuff which was a bit surprising. Interior is very spacious towards the front though the side area isn't as nice to sit. I can see this place as a good place for friends to get together for quick bite, watch some game, but place seems slightly over priced for what it is, at least from our visit. read more

Ordered through their online platform, or website, for delivery. Paid, tax, delivery fee and tip. Food never arrived. Seems that they use Uber Eats for their deliveries. The order confirmation had a name and phone for the driver, which was useless because when tried calling or texting we got something saying that it was not available. We called the restaurant, and they pretty much said is not their fault. They offered another order but for pick up, which was not something we could do at the moment. Then we asked for refund and the manager told us they could only give us back the amount for the food $35.18 when our order total with fees and tip was $47.00. Not only disappointed at the fact that the food was lost, that you can't even trust Uber Eats, but also at the way the restaurant handled the situation and at loosing $12 bucks and plenty of time dealing with this on an empty stomach. read more

Came here for my fix of Cuban cortadito and it did NOT disappoint. I was happy they had almond milk as an option. They also let me put how much sugar I wanted in it which I appreciated it because I like it on the less sweet side. Our server was so sweet, too! read more
