For right now even though they are short in staff the food and attention given to us was on point. Now for the food, the sampler was so authentic it had empanadas, croquetas which is ham croquettes, yuca fritters and corn fritters called sorrullos and pollo frito. That was delicious. The chuleta kan kan which is a massive piece of pork chop was cooked to the perfection and it's actually shareable. So even though it's 38 dollars you do get a lot for your buck. Have that with a side of white rice and beans and tostones de pana it's a little different from the regular tostones. Ok moving on.... Trifongo with shrimp scampi was so on point the flavor was creamy not runny at all. And very flavorful. Chicharrón de pollo con trifongo. We expected a place called Latin Flavors to be a great mix of a few Latin cuisines. We didn't expect it to be perfect due to its current rating, but we did expect food to be edible. We walked in and were greeted by a very nice gentleman who treated us spectacularly. We had our pick of tables..... we were also the only ones in there. We ordered the Cuban sandwich, and the chicken plate with rice and beans. I'm going to jump right in: The black beans tasted like they'd dumped the entire cumin condiment jar in by mistake. The cuban sandwich had the wrong ingredients and was odd tasting. The chicken breast was chewy like I'd been in a microwave. And the kicker....... The rice was at least a day old and reheated. This is unacceptable. I understand maybe some things were from the day before as often black beans can be, but not every single item. Not for a restaurant. This is your one job. We quietly left most of our meal, paid our bill and left never to return. The worst part was feeling duped. The one waiter and the one cook there acted like this was a great meal cooked to order, and they'd done all this work super fast. As fast as a microwave could warm it up. Gross. Been meaning to come by this authentic Latin restaurant. Did not disappoint. Family-owned and run with authentic flavors. We stopped in for lunch and got the sampler. Enough for two to split. EVERYTHING was very good. Words can't capture how good it was. Check out the menu and the picture of the sampler. I don't know all of what was what...but I ate all my half and was very pleased. We are so disappointed with this place We had take out. Spent 150$ on food and the only thing that was edible was the empanadas. The yellow rice was tasteless the white rice was mushy.. the Cuban sandwich was 5 inches (it tasted good but for 13$ it sucked). The burrito was 60% white mushy rice inside!! We just recently went back, expecting the same, but we're quite disappointed, the arroz con gandules was pale and tasteless, pork chop, very thick, which you would think if well seasoned and fried correctly, it would be tasty and juicy inside, no, it was hard, tasted like cardboard... The red beans were also tasteless, there was not even a hint of sofrito, neither on the rice nor the beans, which makes the Puerto Rican flavor...! I hope that this critique brings attention to the owner, to improve on these issues mentioned; maybe you have a different cook now? I called prior to ask a few questions, they said the system was down so cash payment. We went in a few hours later & it was working. We sat outside, it was clean including the restroom. I asked for a corona premier, she gave me a corona extra. Said that was all they had, when she asked if I wanted another. Beer & wine only. No refills on soda, it's canned. The tacos were good, not outstanding. Two average size shrimp on each. I got two sides of beans instead of rice & beans. The red beans had meat so I wasn't happy about that (only way they came). Both beans needed more flavor, I added hot sauce to them. I ate around the meat (took it out) but I'm assuming the broth was chicken or not vegetarian. The side of fries was a small plate. The stuffed plantains & dufongo were tasty/flavorful. The ingredients tasted fresh. Food took a while to come out, slow service. Everything was overpriced. Then they charge 2.25 for using a card. I just got back from Puerto Rico and was craving something PR authentic!The trifongo was amazing (trifongo was a mix of plantains, yuca and tostones) Very impressed! Not dry at all!!! The sangria was very good also and only $6.75! Also got the flan, that was delicious all by itself! I will be coming back here! Stop in for dinner last night with my wife.I ordered fried pork chunks but was served a fried pork chop instead. The pork chop was so dry I could only eat 1/2 of it.The black beans and rice were good. I stopped by today after another nearby restaurant was mysteriously closed. Upon entering I was warmly treated and offered any open table. I sat down and ordered a double espresso and water. The espresso arrived in a reasonable amount of time and was very good. I ordered the mofongo with pernil and a madalla to wash it down. It was taking a while and then I got annoyed when I saw others who came in after me get their orders. After waiting over 20 minutes my server approached me and said they just ran out of pernil and what would I like as a substitution. Completely unacceptable!!!! I would usually get up and leave after a restaurant wasted my time in this manner but I opted for the same dish with chicken breast in place of the pork. It was delivered to me in 8 minutes. The entree was very tasty and went well with the grilled chicken and broth. For dessert I enjoyed another espresso and some Flan. The flan was beautifully presented and tasted surprisingly incredible. One of the best I have tasted in some time. I really wanted to love this place as I had a hankering for great Puerto Rican food. First off I would recommend doing takeout only. This is not a sit down restaurant by any stretch.... No real bar, was virtually empty and poor service. I was served lukewarm cafe con leche that was weak in taste and flavor and can you bring me some sugar?? The mofongo I got was under-seasoned, was missing the required salt, garlic and pork chiccarones to be mashed in it to make authentic to this Puerto Rican. Then when I asked for salt and pepper from the waitress she said they don't provide that to sit down customers. Really are you kidding me? And the mofongo was served with a tasteless dipping broth another complete failure. Thank god I asked for their spectacular homemade green sauce that was popping with flavor, hell I wanted a bowl of that! Now the pork carnitas with sautéed onions was good not great, but again needed that salt that they wouldn't bring me. Now there was a constant flow of customers picking up orders from a walk up window, so they must do some things well, guess I picked the wrong dish. Move in / Move out day at FIT is incomplete without a visit here. The decor is colorful & simple providing a warm & inviting atmosphere. Food is no nonsense, true blue Puerto Rican food just like on the island and served with smiles & superb service. If you speak Spanish? Great. But if you don't; no problem as staff is bilingual. Two of my guests were non Spanish speaking and had no issues. Pricing for what you get is more than righteous and there will be enough to take home for a late night decadent snack. Alright, here it goes. This restaurant has been opened for about 8 months, around there and til now I found out about it. I get these free newspapers to my house every weekend and and it just so happened that this restaurant landed on the main page, mind you I never pay attention to these newspapers. My wife and I are puertorican and I am very picky on food selection and restaurants claiming to be puertorican; this Latin Flavor restaurant met my expectations. It has a "homey" feeling; when you come in, the tables are set up as if you were walking in to a dining room in the house; they have an open kitchen, again as if you were to walk in to a house. It's a family owned business, you can tell they were brought up well; you can sense it and feel it. They treat you like family; that family feeling isn't something taught in training, it's part of your upbringing. Their prices are great, not too pricey, not to cheap. They're not in the best spot to find, however I believe that as they continue growing, they'll be able to get a better spot. The food is DELICIOUS. I got the alcapurrias as an appetizer, I don't know how to translate it, but its made of fried plantain and filled with beef; most places will give you alcapurrias from the box and fry it; this restaurant makes everything from scratch. As my entree, I had mofongo,also made out of plantains... We eat plátanos (plantains) in all different types of ways.. I had mine with chicken, but you can order it with shrimp and one other choice. Just that alone, you won't need rice or beans with it; it's filling on its own. I can continue writing, but I'll let someone else continue as they go. Try them out; you won't regret it! First time trying this restaurant today with a group of friends. I ordered the Cuban sandwich and it was done perfectly! The bread was nice and crispy outside and inside was packed with delicious tasty pork, ham, and cheese. I don't like pickles so asked to not have any on my sandwich and it was no big deal to make it to my satisfaction. The French fries were perfectly crispy just how I like it. The sandwich was big enough that I took half home so I could enjoy dessert....I ordered the roll cake, in Spanish it's called "Brazo Gitano ", and it was moist and delicious as well and went perfect with my cafe con leche. Now that I know of this place I will definitely be going back to try some of their other offerings. From friends, 2 order the chicken tacos and both said it was very good. The 2 other friends ordered the charrisco steak with rice, beans and sweet plantains. They also enjoyed the food and had enough leftovers to take home. 2 of the, ordered the flan and it was also very good....the way flan should be done, where you stick a spoon in it the spoon doesn't flop over!! Didn't give them 5 stars only because they only have one person taking orders, etc. I must admit he was good and made sure we were happy with our food and the other thing we were not impressed with is that they do not have "to go" boxes. The waiter gave my friends paper bowls to put their leftovers in and foil paper to wrap it up. So if you want really good Latin flavors try out this restaurant. You can miss it because it doesn't face Sarno Rd but you have to turn down this alley and parking is provided. It's right next to the Brevard County government offices. read more

FANTASTIC food! The dufongo was marvelous! So so delicious that I didn't even care much for the churrasco that it came with (which was really yummy too!) the chicken empanadas were made to order, hands down best empanadas ever!!!! Piping hot, great filling and the sauce that it came with was so good! They also customized the Cuban sandwich for my husband to replace the ham and pork with chicken and he said it's the best Cuban sandwich he's ever had. They have a cute little herb garden on the patio and they used the mint from there in the mojito we ordered! Little touches! I was disappointed in the mofongo, wife has a friend who raves about it, wasn't bad but just kind of nothing to me. This place is worth going out of your way to find, tucked away off Sarno Rd this establishment is a hidden gem. The food is flavorful nicely presented authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is pleasant and homey. This place has the potential to be a five star. My roast pork was not as hot as I normally prefer or else I would have given it a five star rating, but it was so good it was easy to overlook. This is a family owned and operated gem of a restaurant tucked away (off Sarno Road, next to the Brevard County complex). My husband said he had "the best" Cuban sandwich ever! It was a nice size portion, very moist and flavorful. I had the special of the day- baked fresh cod with tostones, black beans and rice. It was excellent. The service was great, all the food was made to order so does take a little bit but well worth the wait for Authentic Puerto Rican food. My mother-in-law and I had the Mofongo and it was delish, not sure of what the broth was to put over it but with it without the sauce it wasn't too dry. We were there for lunch Saturday. The food and the atmosphere were great. The service was spot on. There was only one other table of diners but still. This is such a hidden gem. We both had the Cuban and red beans. The pork in the Cuban was outstanding making it the star of the sandwich. Instead of traditional Swiss cheese, the cheese seemed to be a grated mix like Publix. This was my wife and I's first time eating Mofongo. Figured if we are wading to Puerto Rico and it's a must have, why not try it at a place that has it in FL. We started off with a sampler of several fried foods ranging from chicken wings to Yucca Root. All were good, but I must say the Yucca was really tasty. I've had it before but this had a bit more flavor than previously. We each got a main dish of Mofongo. My wife got the Carne Frita, while I had the Pernil. My wife's fried pork was really delicious, but can NOT hold a candle to the Pernil. This was some juicy pork. Absolutely delicious. Neither of us have had Mofongo prior to this and we are not much of carboholics any more (Keto) but if you do want to try it go for it. It's really good. Tasty but not sweet, which I was pleasantly surprised by. We will be trying it again when we reach PR, but it's just ONE of many things we want to eat there.
