Wow! All I can say is wow for the food!! Came here yesterday with my family and the place was packed but not in a *too crowded* way, thankfully. The restaurant itself wasn't too large and had a bathroom in the back. They were able to clear a table for us and sat us down in good time. A man (possibly the owner?) came up to take our order and was very sweet asking us about our day how we were doing. Both my mom and I ordered the Churrasco la Estancia (my mom subbed plantains instead of fries) and my sister ordered the Pescado a lo Macho since she was craving fried fish. The churrasco was amazing, perfectly cooked, seasoned well and so so good with the chimichurri(?) sauce on top. My mom let me try some of her plantains and I wish I got those instead of my fries! We all loved the rice as well, something about the soft, flavorful fluffiness of it made it great. My sister was also very content with her fried fish and we were both pleasantly surprised by the fish stew that came with it. The type of plantains she got with that dish weren't our favorite though. The food came out in good time, but we had to come up and ask for the check because one of the waitresses was busy talking to another customer. Best tres leches in town! Whenever my Colombian mother in law is in town she has to visit here and we always get cortaditos with tres leches. I also love their arepas and empanadas! I suggest going right when they open because it gets busy fast. read more

Came here for dinner with my husband and one of the kids. We ordered beef empanadas to start, which arrived late, as we had almost finished our mains. The empanadas had too much potato and were over fried. My husband had the Bandeja Paisa. I had the breaded fried fish. My entree came with the house salad. The little one had chicken fingers and fries. Chicken fingers were real chicken tenders not processed meat. They were good. The waitress was very cordial and friendly. Presently, I grant the establishment a half star, incremental increase to four and a half stars. On this visit, Vicki is our Camarera and she is also the restaurant owner. She has been a professional for nearly 20 years, coinciding with the opening of the business. However, Vicki clearly articulates that she has had enough of her husband, and so has sold the operation to him. Perhaps her hope is to reach a state of complete ataraxia in the process. My order of Bandeja La Estancia is comprised of white rice, red beans, little corn cake, fried pork skin, beef, pork, chicken, salad and sweet plantains. These items were all cooked perfectly and offered an exquisite blend, which expertly achieved the delicate goal of balanced tastes with delectable cuisine that bursts forth with savory flavor. A side order of Morcilla Con Arepita (blood sausage) accompanied. This is sausage that is filled with blood and is cooked or dried and mixed with a filler, until thick enough to solidify when cooled. 5 stars for amazing food and service. Despite being packed full and being a smaller restaurant they still manage to offer quick amazing service. The restaurant has a very homely feel and is very bright and inviting. We were seated immediately and the server was very friendly and helped us with the menu. We ordered chicken and fries for our son. So nice that they have these options for picky eaters. For myself I got the Ropa Vieja. My husband has some allergies and the restaurant was very accommodating and knew their ingredients very well. He got the same thing as me but opted for extra tostones instead of a side salad. The portions were very big and the food was absolutely delicious. I loved my salad and the Ropa Vieja was very flavorable and tender. Not only is the food amazing... the prices are also great. I introduced some friends recently to La Estancia De Luisa, a Colombian restaurant in the Winn Dixie Plaza on Port Malabar Blvd. in Palm Bay, earlier this evening. It had been about six years since I last visited this place. The food and ambiance were still enthralling and quite captivating! Pamela, our patron relations coordinator, took excellent care of us, and Victor, the owner greeted us warmly. He still remembered me from years past! I had the breaded fish fillet with sides of cooked beans, sweet plantains, and rice. The meal was mouth watering and in the right portions. Two glasses of merlot and the hot green tea helped to digest this authentic and scrumptious meal! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have great Colombian food prepared and served by a family that cares about the tastes and preferences of their patrons. Truly a five-star experience from a small owner-operated restaurant in Palm Bay. I always enjoy going to owner-operated places. Not owner operator franchises original Concepts from original people we're doing what they love. What can you shoot may not be the best for walk by traffic but they built up a reputation for themselves and word-of-mouth and Yelp reviews have them going large. The food was really great! Everyone seems to get the Numero Uno. I want a little different they got the number 2. It was very good reminded me a lot of Home Cooking tasted just like a stew so you cannot complain. We got this bread thing that cheese baked in the center that was really good very sweet and cheesy. No it was very attentive to us. Corrected the way I murdered the pronunciation of my food order without being a jerk about it. You made a few jokes with us. At what point you noticed that we looked cold granted there was an AC vent blowing down on us. He questioned if we were cold and then immediately turn down the AC unit. Wow. What can someone say when you experience pure excellence? I arrived for lunch and was warmly greeted and immediately seated. I ordered a soda and it was delivered promptly. After scanning the menu and a little assistance from my friendly server I chose the number 1. I enjoyed my coke while I waited. My meal came to my table on a extremely reasonable amount of time. On the plate carne asada, columbian sausage, sweet plantains, deep fried pork belly, beans rice, tostone, and a deep fried egg. The result was absolutely delicious!!!! Next was Mar Y Tierra (Grilled Skirt Steak and Seafood Mix, white rice, salad and Green Fried Plantains) along with Ensalada De Pollo a La Parrilla (Grilled Chicken Salad, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Carrot and Cheese). I arrived around 2:30 and they were still very busy for lunch, they seemed to be short staffed but the 2 ladies in front were hustling to keep up with everyone's orders which surprisingly came out very quickly. Our family is trying to make a concerted effort to try different restaurants in Brevard County that are independently owned, in order to support businesses in our local community and when i saw La Estancia de Lusia here on Yelp, I thought this might be a good one to try. Mind you, I have NEVER tried Colombian food before, had no idea what to expect but I am SOOOO glad we stopped in. This place is awesome. Super friendly staff, clean restaurant and really good food. Like REALLY good! My 14 year old daughter had the Carne Asada, marinated grilled steak with rice and plantains. It was served with a small dinner with a house dressing similar to an italian. At first I was antsy about there being cilantro on it, because sometimes it tastes like soap to me, but the dressing actually worked well with it. She thought it was fabulous. I had the Bandeja La Estancia which was a mixed plate which allowed me to sample grilled pork, beef and chicken (all of it very flavorful), along with the Chicharron (fried pork) which was like eating fried bacon. Yum! the beans were delicious, the plantains, white rice and corn cake rounded out the meal. I would order it again in a heartbeat. it too came with a salad. My husband had the Bandeja Paisa which is grilled skirt steak, fried egg, beans, fried pork, grilled sausage, plantains and rice...we also spit a Colombian beef empanada and an Argentinian chicken empanada, and both were good, although the sauce that came with the Colombian one was SPICY!! If you're looking for a fancy place, this isn't it...but it is obviously well loved by people in the community. It was a full house when we went on a recent Saturday night. Can Sodas are served with a glass of ice and the Sangria is homemade (I didn't partake since I don't do red wine) and although we wanted to try the desserts, we just didn't have the room. Next time...trust me we will indulge! We were assisted by a very nice gentleman, presumably the owner who treated us like we were old friends. He went out of his way to explain the menu and answer any questions we had. It was obvious that many customers knew him well, as his interactions with them was one of an open and friendly demeanor, even on a busy Saturday night. We felt very welcome as customers and were treated well even as Colombian food newbies! We like food. We really liked this place. I know sometimes people are hesitant about going to an "ethnic" restaurant that may be out of their comfort zone. You don't have to speak or read Spanish to go here, as the staff spoke perfect English and the menu is detailed in English. Seriously, if you are looking for something new and super yummy delicious in the Melbourne/Palm Bay area, swing by La Estancia de Luisa.
