My first time here. The building is brightly lit and festive. Inside, it looks very clean and high end. The menu is almost overwhelming with lots of choices. I had the grilled fish with moros (black beans and rice) and sweet plantains. Everything was very good. The fish almost melted in my mouth. It was also a huge portion. Service was friendly and fast. Growing up this was my favorite restaurant and the Cuban restaurant that resembles my grandmas cooking the most. The enchilada de camaron was and still is my favorite. I hadn't been in years and I wanted Cuban food so we came Sunday afternoon to satisfy my craving. We started with the fritura de malanga. Definitely not what I was used to eating growing up, so it was disappointing when we got it, but the taste was good. Also had the ensalada de aguacate. Avocado was great and enough for three people to share. My mom had the arroz con pollo à la chorrera. This was huge!!! Definitely enough for two people to eat. I had the enchilada de camaron and it was just like I remember it from my childhood. So flavorful and a big portion of shrimps. There's parking behind the restaurant but the spaces are a little tight. The inside is spacious with lots of seating and great for large parties. Everything was great except for the service. He was not attentive whatsoever, was just standing around talking to the other waiters instead of checking on our table. We had to call him over a few times for things we needed because he would not pass by our table unless we called him over. This is a great restaurant for Cuban food and I always recommend it to people. It's a shame the customer service is lacking. read more

THE MOROOOO! If I could submit a review with two words it would be that! I have never tasted anything like their Moro unless it was in Abuela's kitchen. My party and I agreed we would go back alone just for that side dish! To be fair the yuca and maduros were amazing as well! I had the tops vieja which was delicious as well as the lechon. The breaded chicken was missing flavor but cooked right and would have appreciated cooked onions versus raw. Overall experience was great and service was attentive! Best place for Cuban food in the area. Had a chill but classy vibe, booths with glass dividers for privacy. Their marriquitas, ox tail, Vaca frita, lechon, morros, cameron, and just about everything we tried was great. It was okay, great service and big portions! What I got a couple of items to share - Plantain chips, fried fish and liver steak (bonus Oxtail). The plantain chips came out warm, not sure if it is homemade or not, I do appreciate that it wasn't salty and the dipping sauce for this was great great (be warned, garlic-y), the liver steak was okay, cooked well with the onions on top. The fried fish I wish was better, it was not fresh.. so we got the oxtail which was so tender and soft! Very surprised by that. The mixed season rice has these pork rinds on it and it was no where near chewable... The white bean soup has okay, but it had pork/meat which I was surprised it had. Environment It was very late for me, so I didn't see much on the outside, but I was able to park very close to the restaurant on the back. The inside was very spacious with a lot of booth seating. Niceness of the staff Very nice staff and attentive. I wish that the waiter was a little more descriptive about the dishes though. i.e when I asked about the white bean soup, they left out the important details that there was pork in the soup as well. The server was very nice to swap out the fish dish that was not as fresh but I was surprised that the cost did not reflect the new dish name... Dollar It was mid-pricing. Stopped in for lunch at the recommendation of a customer. Not a bad spot, very authentic, everything is in Spanish and the servers are bi lingual but will first speak to you in Spanish. I was there today with my family. We ordered 2 dishes and 2 soft drinks. The roast pork with black beans rice and sweet plantains were very good. My son's breaded chicken steak with tostones was also very good. What keeps this review from 5 stars is the price for canned soft drinks. When the bill came, I was shocked to pay $4.60 per can. That is the most expensive soft drinks I have ever paid. Even at $4.00 would have been expensive. That is just wrong. Our most recent visit was the best experience since coming here for years. Food was great, the place is comfortable, and the service was spectacular thanks to Lisban. He was attentive, friendly, and accommodating. And he makes a great café cubano!!! Everything we ate was tasty the tasajo and the pulpo a la gallega were very, very good! always thought if I wanted great Cuban food go to Hialeah . drove down from Deerfield Beach out of the thousands of restaurants in Hialeah and Miami I unfortunately chose Molina. my mouth was watering thinking of the fried pork chunks, black beans and rice, yucca con mojo. MOLINAS pork was tough dry, yucca in a brown no garlic, onion no MOJO just in brown water that looked as if came out of the floor cleaning bucket, tasteless. my friends roasted pork sitting in grease. all inedible HUGE Disappointment. THEY SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED to have served that food. Busboy took plates away before I could take pictures to show the mess. Get rid of evidence I guess. read more

Took mother and wife for a Saturday night dinner at Molina's, the restaurant was hopping, but it's a large establishement and we were accommodated rather quickly. I always enjoy Molina's when I am in the Hialeah area, I am not a regular customer, but visit at least once a year, I know what to expect. We had the Frituras Bacalao, that where OK, but the Boliche Asado and Camarones Al Ajillo were both very good. My mother was suckered into ordering from the Saturday Daily Special and ordered Arroz Frito, Fried Rice in a Cuban restaurant, big mistake. Sure enough it was NOT very good. The Crema Catalana was also very good as a dessert. The service was attentive, plesant and quick. We had one Iced Tea and the total was $30 p/p, plus tax and tip. My husband had a churrasco with Galician soup, which he hoovered down. He said the soup was really good. I had the chicken chunks with black bean rice and sweet plantains, all were delicious. The only employee with human skills and kindness was the young man making the sandwiches who served the "media noche"sandwiches since the waitress refused to serve us. I sensed unwanted racist behavior toward me and my friends since we are not Cubans, but Hispanics. Waiters and servers very rude and obnoxious. The waitress at the bar was blowing her nose with a napkin while handling coffee cups and water glasses, never washed her hands. Also witnessed employees arguing and cursing around. This is a breakfast review only Stopped in this morning for breakfast. The restaurant is under construction, but it is open. I had the number 1 scrambled. It comes with fries or house potatoes, Cuban toast and cafe con leche (coffee with milk) The eggs were good, the potatoes were not. The Cuban toast needs to be flattened more, a lot more. They were way to soft The service is average and the ambiance was boring. All in all it's not bad (for breakfast) I'll be reviewing lunch here at a later date. read more

The food is excellent, authentic Cuban. The service is medio "comè caca" but I've learned it's a Cuban thing. I asked for a "cortadito" and received a lecture for not ordering correctly. I found out this place after a Floridian native brought me to Molina's Ranch restaurant. There is a private parking lot with plenty of spaces throughout. They also have an outdoor area for those interested in to-go/pick-up. There are a few outdoor tables as well. Upon entrance, you will have to wait until someone seats you. The wait typically was 1-5 minutes when I was there. FOOD: Complimentary bread: Soft and warm, but they are not Cuban rolls!!! Don't eat too much of this because the main meal is a lot of food! Crispy Roasted Tostones with Garlic-Lime Mojo (4/5): The twice-fried plantain slices were great!! I've tried this at various Cuban restaurants, and I have to say this garlic-lime mojo sauce is the real deal. Very fresh. You can't really go wrong with frying food, so the winner is the garlic-lime mojo. Carne #1 (Roast pork, white rice, black beans, and yuca, 5/5): The two times I've ordered this, the roast pork always wins. It's very juicy with white and dark meat. They also add a good chunk of fried pork skin at the top, so it was nice to have a little crisp once in awhile. Rice was cooked perfectly. I mix the black beans into the rice and then devour everything all-together with a bit of hot sauce. Yuca is a root vegetable, and it was my first time trying it here. It's slightly nutty and sweet, and it went great along this dish. Carne #17 (Fried pork chunks, white rice, black beans, and yuca, 3/5): Another item to try is this one if you are not sure what to order! The side dishes are same as the #1, but this meat is fried rather than roasted. There will be about 4-5 pork chunks. It has never been overcooked and dry, but I still prefer the juicy roast pork. Service is decent. From my recent visit, it took 10-15 minutes after we were seated for someone to come check in. We were on a time crunch too! Food seems to come out fast though. Would I come back? Molinas is my go to spot for a Sunday lunch or dinner with the parents. The " oxtail" is definitely most have if your visiting on a Sunday. The staff are nice and very helpful when answering questions about the menu. Great location thats been there forever!!! read more

Prices $$$ My husband has been coming to Molina's restaurant since 1985 from the restaurant was in the building next to the exciting location much smaller and it is still one of the most authentic Cuban cuisine still around even at the larger location they have made. We as a couple have been visiting the new location for about 12 years and live the food always. THE ONLY DRAW BACK IS THE EXPRESSO! The expresso is NOT GOOD it taste like it's BURNT HORRIBLE we have said this time after time to the Waite staff and we have tried the expresso on several occasions and still the same BURNT TASTE! Our last evening in Miami and we stopped at this Cuban restaurant at my sister's suggestion. Nondescript, but with a large and varied seating area, we were placed in their 'table section'. Their menu was quite possibly the most extensive menu at any restaurant I've been to in recent memory. Being that it was my last night in the ears, I had my hometown staple - Picadillo. It wasn't like my mom's, but it was authentic nonetheless. They served buttered Cuban bread in those nice elongated slices, a nice touch; and the service was very friendly and attentive - and he had a nice dry wit about him I liked. My favorite Cuban restaurant! I highly recommend this place. I have been going there since I was a kid, their food is authentically amazing delicious! You will find some of their dishes that you don't see at other Cuban restaurants like tasajo. Their mojo dip is with real garlic and lemon. Delicious! Their service is top notch! I grew up Hialeah. Been here since 1963. Grew up eating Cuban food at Segunto Viajiante, Lilas, Molina's Ranch. We returned to Molina's after some time away. One of the best things you get served at any of these restaurants is the complimentary basket of sliced toasted buttered Cuban bread. After ordering our drinks, mariquitas and malanga bites, I asked about the bread. Their reply was that it was no longer complimentary and further advised that for $1 dollar they served you 4 small pieces of 3 inch small french bread rolls that were barely warm. WOW!!
