I love the restaurant/bar when it was Adrian's. The price were affordable. Now I can't afford to go there anymore. I spent 76.00 on 2 hard taco dinners, burrito dinner and a guacamole. Plus one extra taco . This is insane. The place has gone down. There was only one person there plus me. Prices are over priced and the portions are smaller. Can't afford this place anymore. This place seemed to draw me in. I was ready to give it a try. My significant other and I walked inside. We were able to choose our table and chose 13. I looked at the menu to see what was offered. From the Beverages: $3 section, I ordered a Diet Coke. From the Margaritas section, I ordered a Five Dollar Margarita for $5. The Flavors stated (Combine Up To 2 Flavors). I went with Lime. The server gave me options for the style and I chose on the rocks. The server gave me the choice of salt or sugar on the rim. I chose salt. The Galaxy Famous Nachos section stated Topped With Suizo Cheese, Sour Cream & Jalapeno Slices Bean Spread Over Nachos. We went with a Small Cheese, No Meat for $6. The Tacos section stated Flour, Corn, Fried, Grilled. I ordered a Flour A La Carte Beef for $3. The Burritos section stated Topped With Suizo Cheese. I ordered an A La Carte Chorizo, No Egg for $10. We were given free chips, green sauce, and red sauce. All of it tasted bad and seemed to be low quality. I was given free water. It wasn't good. The Diet Coke was okay and so was the free refill. The Margarita was alright. It was worth the price of $5. The Nachos were decent. The Beef wasn't good. It wasn't worth the price of $3. The Chorizo, No Egg was terrible. It lacked flavor. Ignore the location.. This place is the real deal. Everyone was welcoming and glad to have us there. The food was seriously good and the clientele made us feel at home. We ordered a Full Size order of Pork Nachos, Double Tostada dinner and a large Mango margarita. We really only needed a half order and a single tostada and a small drink. There was enough food in what we ordered to feed 5 or 6 people and the drink was big enough for 2 or 3 people. Plenty of parking and has TV's to watch sports on. YES.......Back to LATIN LOUNGE it is, nachos, nachos and more nachos....next I'll add a burrito, it looked so good. I met "The P.S. Ladies" for lunch and I can't wait to get back, service was amazing and so was the food, all of it!! I'm sorry did I forget to mention the margaritas? Perfect mix, everyone was happy. One big thing is they now accept credit cards, for some that makes a big difference. I've seen some references to this being a "dive,".....well go on and dive right in! I'd like to add that EVERY place has had to raise their prices, some people spend over $20 at a fast food drive thru, I'd rather spend that on a dinner from Latin Lounge. read more

The food is not good. The drinks are strong because they are just liquor they do not taste good, they taste like pucker and bottoms shelf tequila. Service is VERY slow. Not authentic Mexican food. Not good food period. read more

The Nachos are slap yo momma good!!!!! The house hot sauce was excellent too. Remember to take cash. It was an old lounge style restaurant. The bar tender and owner were very nice. I just don't get it, I have known Adrian for a long time and ever since he sold this place it just seems like the cooks don't care. I know the ladies in the front ask for things a certain way but the cooks just either don't read or don't care. The foods good. When you ask for a well-done and the cheese is completely white and the girl says to you she said extremely or well well well done and it's still white it just shows a lack of giving a shit. We stop coming here just because of this I really wish that somebody would take over this company that would actually care. Also we asked for a large rice and got a small rice so. I've read the reviews and from what I gather, people are expecting way more of a restaurant. It's like a dive/lounge. I personally loved it. Sure they came spruce of the place a bit, but it is what it is. I ordered the nachos to go. I went expecting to order the steak nachos and the waitress told me they were $19.00 and suggested the chicken or pork. I chose the chicken which was $13 and some change. It was delicious. Do I think it was worth $13? Maybe not. Would I go back? Probably so. I kinda like the dice atmosphere. I'd like to go back and have a drink and dine/eat in. I love adrians! It puts "El Taco Real" to shame especially with regards to there food. I mainly order Pork taco special and the price is also a great deal $4.25 (Iam pretty sure) That includes two taco rice and beans. The rice and beans are also very good. Adrian the owner is also very cool. he was away for awhile but I heard recently that he is back. Adrian has excellent taste in the waitresses that he Hires as most of them look excellent. When he was away I think Adrian's son did not do such a great job in hiring as there were many not so hot waitress working there for a time. A side note that is funny but no longer exist at Adrian's. i was in there one time and notice three regulars sitting at the end of the bar (Yes there is a bar there) Anyway behind the bar counter they have pictures posted of various people. I noticed in one of the pictures were the three guys sitting in the exact same position and location as they currently were in and the picture was dated from early last year. I was skeptical at first and the sign that reminds you to "pull up your pants and get off of your cell phone" at the entrance indicates the class of customer which must frequent Adrians. It's like: reminder, you are not entering the clink, this is a restaurant and there is some decorum expected of our patrons. We had a pleasant meal and the waitress was top notch! Great margies. I had the chicken flautas with beans and rice-enough for at least two meals (I take everything home). Also, the menu was pretty straight up and authentic. Would definitely go again! I had a burrito and it was the best burrito I've ever had. I gave Adrian's a 3 because of the service. It took forever for our waitress to do everything. 2/5 orders at my table were wrong and had to be sent back. Also, they ran out of big margarita glasses and had to give us three small drinks instead. No big deal, but it took at least 20 or 30 minutes for her to bring us the next drink. We ended up taking the rest of the drink to go in carry out cups (not sure if we even got the full amount we paid for). Also, if you want to carry out food, don't expect a carry out container. You'll get foil and a plate to wrap your food in. All in all, I was impressed with the food but the service definitely was lackluster. Also, what restaurant doesn't accept credit cards?? Hard tacos, hard tacos, hard tacos... You literally cannot go wrong. They are so delicious. Beef of course. The chicken nachos are also delicious and never disappoint. Adrian is always there warmly welcoming everyone and Ira is the best waitress. Some things to be aware of: 1. they dont take credit cards 2. they serve generic soda 3. service can be slow (unless Ira waits on you) and 4. it's a dimly lit lounge. If you can get past those things and we do almost every week, you're going to love their food. The atmosphere was dark and it reminded me of the "Regal Beagle" from Threes Company. The bathrooms were not kept up with toilet paper. The food was extremely bland; I couldn't put enough salt. Yesterday was my second time going to Adrians. I had a carryout order for 3 Nachos and I asked for sour cream and jalepenos. She said they came on the side which was fine. I get home to Merrillville and there was no sour cream or peppers in the bag. Grandson loves the nachos although he was disappointed that there was no peppers. Luckily, I had sour cream at home. The nachos were good but waaayyyy too much cheese for me. I was charged $39.00 and some change and I gave the server $40. No receipt nor change, so no tip. If I ever visit again, I will definitely check my order and ask for a receipt. read more

If I were only rating this place on their food then I'd definitely give 4-5 stars! I have to lower my rating to 3 based on the cleanliness of this place. My daughter had to use the bathroom while we dined and there was a lingering, unpleasant vomit smell. The bathrooms need work and a GOOD, DEEP cleaning! Also, the floor by where we sat was very sticky. How can a carpeted floor be so sticky?!?!? The place looks pretty sketchy and is kind of a dive, but the food was pretty darn good!! I first tried Adrian's at work when we ordered carry out for lunch. I decided to take my family there for dinner today and was slightly disappointed with the condition of the place. I would recommend the pork nachos TO GO!! Lol! Also, this place only takes cash, automatically adds 20% to parties of 5 or more and will not split up your table's check (which I guess is okay since it's cash only). The owner came out and shook hands with everyone while we were there. I'd like him to put more work into the establishment's upkeep!
