A great selection of Portuguese products (from mainland and the islands) and home ware / kitchen ware. Incredible selection of fish, salted cod, cheese, tinned fish, wine, etc. The worker in the wine section was super helpful and attentive. There was a large selection and told him what we typically enjoy drinking and he showed us multiple bottles. We went with two of the options he suggested and he hit the nail on the head. They were exactly what we like and wanted!! For imported products the prices are fair. Even the box of Queijada from the Azores price wasn't far off from what I paid on the island right from the source! They have a cafe as well, we didn't try it this time around but everything looked great. We will definitely be back and will try it the next time!!

There are shelf stable grocery items like snacks, canned goods, dried noodle meals, candies, cooking oils and more. Then you have ALL THE SPICES. Little bags, big bags, whole seed or ground options. There are pure spices or you can get spice blends like garam masala and tikka seasoning. They have a small selection of fresh vegetable and produce including onions, potatoes, chilies, okra, long beans....and more. There is a refrigerated section and a frozen section where you can find paneer, yogurt, bottled lassis, prepared naan and chapati and rotis. They also have frozen, ready to heat meals and appetizers. You just have to ask at the meat counter. I also like to stock up on my Azores butter here. The cheese counter is a lovely sight. My aunt loves the St Jorge cheese. They cut it right off of the wheel for you. I'm obsessed with the fresh cheese that they carry from Manny's Dairy Farm. The large container generally does not last the weekend once my husband and I dig into it. Like fresh mozzarella, but better. The piece de resistance for me is their Portuguese corn bread-- broa. If you've never had it, it's a corn and rye bread (not at all like Southern cornbread). When you are headed to the checkout here they have it towards the front. I don't know if it's like this everyday, but on Saturday mornings it is literally still hot when you grab one. Super fresh and super delicious. It's the perfect compliment to that fresh cheese! They were kind they were considerate they were thoughtful. They explained all the different types of meat we had gone down to buy chorizo and they explained the different kinds they had and the taste of it, the mild and the hot and they also explained the other things they had was chorizo and linguiça etc., because they have that type of rest business, small meat market type of thing. They were just such a nice group of people. I look forward to going back down there again. They were very busy for a Saturday morning, but we did not mind waiting as we had a purposeful visit.

I've been going here frequently lately to pick up lunch and desserts. They have a rotating menu of reasonably-priced daily prepared foods that I enjoy, like ribs on Wednesdays, favas on Thursdays, and seafood at the end of the week. Their prepared Cobb and BLT salads are delicious and good deals when I'm not feeling the daily specials. For dessert the pudim de avo & tiramisu are really amazing, but all of the homemade desserts are tasty. They carry authentic Portuguese cheeses like São Jorge and Ilha Azul which are both worth trying. And when the jackpot feels high enough I play the lottery here, too. The staff are all helpful and friendly, and after a few visits they have you feeling like family. Five stars!
