First time here for me. As a 67-year-old I normally don't go out by myself at night or drive at night 45 minutes away from my home in Pompano, but my son,DJ Matt Kelly was the DJ at this very cool place. It's a very old building and probably has original beautiful wood floors, very dark, black walls, and a nice big bar with friendly bartenders and a stage. The building is set on the side street off of the main street, which is like a little Atlantic of Delray, but not as fancy. I went in after talking to the security guy outside who was very nice and I tried to hide at the bar to surprise my son but he saw me right away and his wife was with him, so she sat with me and we had a drink and waited for Matthew to start DJing. I must say he is a very diversified DJ he knows how to play to whatever crowd he is for. This was really not my kind of place, lots of younger people with lots of tattoos and nose rings lol and the kind of music I wouldn't normally listen to, but everybody else in the place seem to enjoy it, of course, I was the oldest person there LOL so I listened for a little while, had a drink with my daughter-in-law and then left to come home, driving on crazy speeding 95! Ugh. I highly recommend this club to younger people who like this kind of music and my son is very talented! I'm sure it's a very fun place off of a great avenue, but I think I'll stay away for a while lol.

Propaganda has continued to serve as a much-needed live concert venue for local bands in Palm Beach County that's conveniently located in downtown Lake Worth -- I say conveniently located because I live close tot here. Having been in operation for at least 10 years, since I lived in Fort Lauderdale, Propaganda is still going strong, putting on good shows, and keeping it real. Located on S J Street just before Common Grounds Coffee House and Revelry Beer and Wine Bar, Propaganda has a vibe that's cool and definitely local, promoting and putting on shows that are unique to the area, covering multiple genres. The interior has a very egalitarian vibe between the socialist imagery and red and black flourishes encompassing the walls and stage area. The bar island area allows for patrons to circle around to find spots to ask for a drink from one of the bartenders on duty -- with the left side set up for seating only. There's a pool table and lounge area at the back of the venue, where the restrooms and DJ booth are also located. Parking is fairly easy depending on the day, with street and lot parking available. However, on any given Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening especially, you are prone to having to find parking at least a couple blocks east or north, as Lake Worth fills up with people frequenting one of the few bars on Lake Avenue between Dixie Highway and L Street. Additionally, depending on the day and what event is being held, there is usually some kind of cover to enter the venue, so be prepared to hand over some green -- i.e. $5 to $15 usually, unless it's some out-of-town or national band performing. Propaganda has always had good vibes and all kinds of people frequenting there since they opened. Always a good time, and great that it's so close to where I live if I don't feel like going to West Palm or south to Fort Lauderdale.

Chill bar with a lame website. Everything you really want to know will be on their Facebook page. Most nights they are pretty empty which is great if you want to come in and have the place all to yourself. Watch some hilarious videos, play some pool, or get something new on tap. Bartender is supper cool and very knowledge. Even the bathrooms are nice. Though they bring in some nice bands - I don't know if they are ever fully prepared for the huge crowds that turn up. But I guess that's the point? The crowds get rowdy but nothing crazy. Friendliest hole in the wall in Lake Worth.

I personally like the atmosphere of this place alot. Good drink specials. Great lounge area, along with the most amazing bulb lamp over their pool table, and a 2 player pacman arcade machine. Fun times.

I've started going on Tuesdays for karaoke night and love it! It's not a new and shinny place, it's not busy and happening...but it is so much fun! The guy who runs karaoke night is a riot! The bar tender is always great. They have a TON of songs to choose from and the crowd there is so much fun. It's not very busy (at least when I've been there). Usually only a hand full of people when we show up there but it's definitely an awesome place to pop in for a couple beers, hang out, sing a couple songs, and have a couple laughs.

Don't sleep on Boynton Beach - cocktail bar vibe, hiding in plain site in a strip mall... this gem is chef inspired and simply amazing. We tried the wood fired asparagus served on toast with a gooey egg and then the pork belly grilled baby bok choy and both had me in the happy chair dance. Although steak definitely makes sense with a wood fire concept, instead we tried the lamb rack served with a mint sauce combo that has you cleaning the plate and local pompano served curry lite with wild mushroom (delish)! If you are a foodie make your way here. This was a spot where one (or is it just me) considers maybe we order everything to try? And we left the fun for another time. I have my eye on their spiced lamb bolognese and another amazing cocktail. The cocktails are mostly milk fat clarified which adds yet another fun twist to a new fav spot! This time we tried the grilled asparagus, the grilled baby bok choy with pork belly and gorgonzola (our favorite), the luncheonette burger with crispy fries, the double cut pork chop with grilled cabbage and pickled mustard seed, and the waygu lamb (I know, a lot of food!). Everything was fantastic but the burger initially came out a bit undercooked (we ordered it medium) so they cooked it a bit more and quickly brought it back. I thought the lamb wagyu was a bit light on the meat, the pork chop was amble and laid out nicely on the plate. We also tried the watermelon tequila drink (very refreshing and not too sweet), an old fashioned, and they have a good list of wines. We love the big cube in cocktails. I don't know how they got them to be so clear. The bar tender was great and the cooks were working very hard. The owner always comes by to say hello and chat. Second Rodeo varies the menu.

Beautiful flooring for dancing but the few people lining the walls or in VIP area were smoking hookah and/or throwing back drinks. Banana Boat -- Boynton Beach (3 stars) Surf & Turf Nachos…read more-- $21 -- "The Mirage Nacho" I only review nachos. That's the whole thing. So I can't tell you about the waterfront, the 40-plus years Banana Boat's been serving Boynton, or the rest of the menu, which, for the record, looked legitimate. I'm here for one plate. The Surf & Turf Nacho sounds incredible on the menu. Filet mignon and shrimp. That's how they get you to $21, and I paid it. Here's what showed up. The filet retired its number after only a few appearances. On a $21 surf-and-turf nacho, the turf scored early and then vanished like a witness in a mob movie. The shrimp came in bigger numbers but arrived whole and uncut, and nobody in that kitchen asked the one question that matters: how does a whole shrimp sit on a nacho chip? It doesn't. It sits on top looking decorative while the chip underneath has an identity crisis. And where would this be without mentioning my old nemesis. Beans. They don't belong on nachos. Ever. If you're using them, you're just trying to make the plate bigger. Maybe you need a big lifted truck too. This isn't a surf-and-turf nacho. It's a nice thought. A dish designed to impress on paper, justify a price, and get photographed; Not to really be eaten as a nacho. It was also a small portion overall. I finished it, but that's not the achievement it sounds like. Finishing a $21 nacho because there wasn't much of it is not a win. It's literally the complaint. Credit where it's due, because I'm not here just to swing: * The queso was actually melted. After a long run of unmelted shredded-cheese disasters around here, that matters. * The guacamole was generous and well made. * It arrived hot, eight minutes out. That counts. * The flavor was genuinely decent. Everything present tasted fine. The problem was what was present, and how little of it there was. The Fork Rule was violated immediately. Rectangular plate, whole shrimp, oversized store-bought chips, everything arranged for the camera. This was never getting eaten with your hands, which means it was never really a nacho. Verdict: 5/10 -- The Mirage Nacho. It looked great on the menu. It tasted decent on the plate. It just wasn't a nacho. The flavor is the only thing keeping it out of the basement. Order it if you want a pretty $21 appetizer. Don't order it expecting nachos.

I was having a great time, enjoying my meal and drinks, when disaster struck right at the end. I had literally just finished eating when a huge roach crawled right by my feet on the couch area. It was massive and absolutely disgusting. I jumped out of my seat so fast, thankfully I was done with my food, or I probably would've lost it completely. I didn't scream (which is a miracle because I definitely would have at home), but it was such a gross turn-off. I get that this is Lake Worth and Florida has its bugs, but come on, a roach that big in a dining establishment? That's not okay. You really need to step up the pest control. Also, the bathrooms could use some serious help. They're outdated and feel neglected, definitely in need of an update or renovation to match the rest of the cool vibe. Overall, the sushi shines, the drinks are spot-on, and the atmosphere is fun... but that roach ruined the ending for me, and the bathrooms don't help.
