This is the cutest little coffee shop in the area! I'm wondering why it took me so long to visit Latte Soul because this stop is a must. It's a cozy, whimsy coffee shop with fun photo ops, specialty tea and coffee. It's nearby Quinnipiac and likely serves a younger demographic. I have seen and followed this shop on Instagram since they had opened and was on my list. The service was great, the ladies helping me was so nice. I tried a seasonal special called Nadine's Guava Matcha Latte--a flavor I haven't seen anywhere else. It had guava pure and guava whip which all looked made in house. The matcha was a good flavor too. The drink was too sweet for me and would likely order less sweet next time. I would like to try one of their coffee drinks next time. If you are in the Hamden area, I definitely recommend giving Latte Soul a try. read more

I am all for women owned businesses and during my last time in Hamden I stopped by after seeing there coffee drinks on instagram. The spot and their coffee are instagramable (decorations on point for the holidays) for sure but I will say that their flavors are spot on if you are looking for a speciality coffee drink. I find myself in this area once every 2 to 3 weeks, and I stated that I was going to try them the next time I was on Whitney Avenue. So glad I did today. It's 100° outside, and a cold iced latte definitely hit the spot. Fortunately for me, they had strawberry themed flavors for the month of June. I love everything strawberry. So I got the strawberry shortcake latte made with almond milk. Beautifully crafted, amazing flavor. I was greeted immediately upon walking in and the attendant was super friendly. It's a very cute boutique style beverage shop. The parking lot is shared with other establishments, but there was ample parking. They had several offerings with the ability to customize and craft as you wish. They offer almond milk and oat milk, I'm not sure about any other non-dairy options. The next time I find myself on Whitney Avenue I will be stopping in. I highly recommend.! read more

What a cute little spot. It may not take up much space but it is impeccably decorated and beautifully themed. The drink menu makes us swollen each month and we haven't had a bad experience. this place is a serious HIDDEN GEM you need to check out! The interior is beautiful to say the least - it's decked out in pink decor, has a really cool swing/rose wall and it's very inviting! As a matcha lover myself, I was immediately drawn to the Berry Berry Matcha, made with a raspberry cold foam and raspberry puree! The cold foam was thick, creamy, and the raspberry flavor really came through, which i appreciated! The matcha was a vibrant green and paired with that raspberry puree had me dancing in my boots! I don't even drink coffee but the Tayah Coco-Chata, a spin on their Horchata Late, caught my eye and I literally had my jaw on the floor after the first sip. It's doesn't have a strong coffee flavor, it was giving dessert in a cup but elevated! I was really impressed and the staff was so welcoming and friendly! #21 in my NEW ENGLAND & NY COFFEE SHOP SERIES New coffee shop in Hamden! This place opened up just over 2 weeks ago and I had to try it! The aesthetics are giving LA and I am here for it. I decided to bring all of my stuff to study since I have a few exams coming up. Unfortunately, I didn't stay too long to study because the space is kind of small and gets kind of loud. There's only one long wood table with 4 little stools to sit (no back). As well as a couch that people normally wait on for their drinks. There's a bunch of cute signs and even a swing/ flower wall to take pictures. There are a few outlets that are covered by protectors so it can keep babies safe. The owner told me you can remove them to charge if needed. They also have wi-fi, you just have to ask for the password! As for drinks I got one of the more popular "faves," raspberry white chocolate mocha iced latte. It was delicious! A little on the sweeter side. And there was an option to make it sweeter! It was pretty pricey tho for the 16 oz... $8.50. I haven't had to pay over $8 for a drink with cold foam in a long time... Kind of overpriced. They also have a bunch of combos, seasonal drinks, and your classic coffee shop items. In addition, they have red bull drinks where you can add your own flavoring which is fun! Overall, I personally wouldn't come here again to study because the space isn't really meant for it. I also don't know if I would come back for drinks since it is quite pricey... This place is so cute. Decorated beautifully. The owner is always so nice and you can really tell she has a passion for what she does. I don't review places other than restaurants typically but she's a mixologist. She takes her time making your drink perfectly and recommends the right milk for each drink. Best chai latte. Our servers were amazing! The service was slow because we came on National Women's Day! 50% of the proceeds were donated to "Ruth's House" which is how I discovered this quaint little coffee in my back yard. As soon as I walked in, the staff were great. So friendly. It was 3 young women working who couldn't have been sweeter. They offered me stickers and a car freshener which was so nice. Super cute and relatively new cafe. The place is small so more of a grab and go. The aesthetic is what makes it. So much attention to detail. The looks and staff make it vibrant and inviting. They have a rotating menu of speciality drinks. I tried the cookie butter cheesecake latte and it was absolutely delicious. I wish I lived closer. First of all, the coffee shop owners are SO kind and one of them( Luigi) is a previous co-worker of mine. So a mutual friend of ours and I decided we HAD to check the place out!!! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the lady of the coffee house ( who had no idea who we were yet). I asked her what she likes the best and she gave me a couple of options. I ended up trying both of them and they were delicious! Highly recommend the horchata latte! The overall aesthetic of the place cannot be overlooked.
