Please excuse all the other bumps and scars. Totally not related! Dance is no joke on the body
    Valerie B.

I'm a professional contemporary modern dancer and I've been dancing my whole life. I've had a torn meniscus that's been bothering me for at least two years. Dr. Ninh cleaned up my knee and I have to thank him for the incredible job he did. The incision marks are small and clean and I don't anticipate any issues with them. But most importantly, I'm able to do the simple things with my knee that I haven't been able to do for years. I'm filled with gratitude for him taking such great care of me and allowing me to continue my life of dance. Thank you from the bottom of my heart

Hand post-op / 2 weeks after Carpal tunnel release
    Melissa P.

I read most of the other reviews before posting mine, and I must say, I had a very great experience here. The biggest downfall this office has is the wait time, but compared to another orthopedic office I went too (which was awful, by the way), the wait time seemed pretty aligned with how many patients go to see an orthopedic doctor. Mind you, some people can have very in-depth issues and I appreciate that they took the time to explain things to me and communicate and made me feel like a person and not just a number in line. You'll most likely only see the doctor/surgeon for your first appointment and surgery as he splits his time between two offices, as well as days performing surgeries. Thai was the PA I worked with and he is very kind and has a positive personality. I really like the front office staff, they are polite and also communicative, respectful and helpful. Doctor Ninh performed a carpal tunnel release on me as an outpatient surgery and I've been healing great and thus far, have minimal scarring. I'll be retuning to this office in the future for my other hand and any other needs I may have for orthopedics. Highly like and recommend!

Kicking butt again!! Thx to Dr Ninh and his wonderful team!!

My mom doesn't speak English, and I help translate, but Laura was incredibly attentive to both of us. She carefully observed my mom's movement and reactions, asked thoughtful questions and never made us feel rushed. Even with the language barrier, she quickly understood what was going on. She took the time to explained everything clearly and showed where the pain may be coming from. By the time we got home, my mom already felt noticeably relief. That surprised us as this was just an initial evaluation. There are many skilled professionals out there, but it's rare to find someone who is not only highly skilled but also genuinely cares about their patients. Laura is exactly that. She brings empathy, patience, and dedication to every session. She even makes early morning appts something we look forward to. We're truly grateful to have found her and feel confident in her care.

As a medical professional myself, the problem here begins with a myriad of issues but I'll touch on a few - incorrect scheduling, consistent double-booking, extremely long wait times (1.5 hrs at minimum), and overall inaccuracy and inefficiency of staff. My fiance was in a terrible accident and we were referred by insurance to this facility. For starters, entrance is TERRIBLE for an orthopedic office. My fiance was in a wheelchair and it was a horrendous experience everytime trying to get him into the office itself and in between the narrow spaces of each door. BTW, no one helps to get the door or even seems concerned lol so I had to bring my own door stopper for each visit. We have visited this office about 3 times and EACH time there is over an HOUR TO TWO HOUR WAIT for patients to be seen. Keep in mind, when we first visited my fiance COULD NOT WALK and was extremely uncomfortable to be waiting for 2 hours!!! Additionally, we would get calls confirming an appointment, show up for front office to say that there isn't one! We would wait about 2 hours to be seen, once in the room would wait ANOTHER hour to see the dr and btw it's just the PA that sees you for all follow ups. Overall, this place has terrible scheduling issues that borderlines negligent patient care but hey - just double book the doctor and hope some patients no-show for the sake of collecting insurance money right? Terrible facility for these reasons. Save yourself and your loved one the trouble please.

I told them I will call my surgeon , they say well we have the best Orthopedic surgeon in Orange County Right here. It was a Saturday morning and I wasn't sure I could get my guy that quick and my arm was very swollen. So since the hospital staff Felt he was good I said to call him. Wel he operated on it and the next day it was draining pretty good. They put. A vacuum bandage on it and per the docs orders I was to return to his office in two weeks. So a week later the vacuum bandage shuts down and Is hurting pretty bad. I go back Again with his vacuum thing I looked them up online and They are programmed to Run one week and Shut off. He had ER wrap itup And it smelled bad. They called Him and they were told to wrap it and have me go to his office in a week. A week went by I was At his office and it smelled so bad. He said it's coming along and to come back in two weeks. I was mad it smelled like death. It's been over A month since the surgery And I still had the staples in my Arm. I had to ask him to Remove the staples he said oh you Want them out. I said yeah there starting to hurt. So he removed them and the next morning it stated to open and it was still draining bad. Finally I went to my normal ortho surgeon now it's so open you can See the bone. The doctor told my wife if I make it through the night they will operate. I had 8 different strains of infection in my elbow. They removed the prosthetic and had to cut more dead bone out. Then they had a Plastic surgeon remove all the dead tissue and close it. That was three years ago and I still don't have a left elbow.

I saw them turn away a patient for being 10 min late when I arrived and there was no one waiting in the huge room. A PA pops in the room says he will be seeing me today and just let him wrap up his lunch. I'm so mad but figure it's not the PA fault. The PA says your leg isn't straight but your knee looks good to me I can offer cortisone shots or a brace. I said I'm back because a Dr In Anaheim said to see Dr Kelly if I'm having problems that's who I want to see. The PA says every doctor in this office will agree with me you don't need to have another surgery. I've given you options you don't want. I was so insulted I just waited time making appts, driving an hour, waiting for a PA on lunch. The Dr who operated doesn't care about you he care about seeing new patients. 7/2020 I broke my wrist almost the same day I break my leg in 2014. I was afraid I'd get Dr Kelly so I changed insurance, changed primary Dr, waited 3 weeks and im referred back to Platinum Medical aka Dr Kelly.!!!!!!! My new primary Dr doesn't seem to think I should be so picky. Was not willing to send another request for different ortho because he said they are all in the same office. I contacted ER and Urgent care and they can do my exrays & casts. I need to bring cast supplies or use ace bandages they have on hand. I'd rather drive 5 minutes to the ER wait hours to get a cast vs drive 1 hr, wait 1 hour and probably not see a Dr in Dr Kelly office then drive 1 hour home.

I had pain and swelling inside my mouth, it was at the borderline of the gum and inside cheek, It did not look to me it was an abscess but more on the cheek as the swelling was visible on the outside as if I had mumps but that could not be as I was fully vaccinated. Dr Schachter was not available so I saw his associate who told me I had an abscess, I still did not think so but accepted the Augmentin 875 mg twice a day. I took it for 7 days it helped a little bit but did not stop hurting so I went to the urgent care and the DO told me also it was an abscess. After a week it came back w a vengeance, I could not sleep, I went in today to ask for the antibiotic to be renewed as I could not get an appointment w an ENT larynx Md till 5-27 by that time I might get into a sepsis, infection inside the mouth is not a small matter. Here is my background: After my brother graduated from U of Paris medical school he gave me all his books n I read them all. I'm not a doctor but had 7 years of courses also required to become a doctor, anatomy, physiology, phamacology, Pharmacognosy, public health you name it plus I still spend hours each day watching medical, health videos and read mayo clinic articles. I literally cured my husband illness. For years he had so much pain, he thought he was going to die, he saw about 5 doctors, surgeons some wanted to do back surgeries, I BLOCKED IT the last thing you want to do is back surgery, one day I read about sciatica, the sciatic nerve can easily get bent crushed and cause symptoms similar to what he had, I studied his case, what he did all day and FIGURED OUT 100% CORRECTLY he drove 2 hrs in traffic to LA, 4 hours a day sitting on his huge wallet bulging out of his right side jeans pocket. I told him to remove his wallet, in 3 days the pain was gone!! YEP I CURED HIM, for 8 years all 5 doctors could not figure out and almost put my husband life in danger recommending back surgery. The wallet pressed hard on the sciatica nerve causing inflammation and pain. Remove the wallet VOILA, PROBLEM SOLVED. Last night during my insomniac episode, It flashed in my head since it was not mumps, not abscess, gotta be the salivary glands, I got up at4 and read for 3 hrs all articles from mayo clinic, Cleveland clinic, etc.. looked at all the pictures of the salivary glands, it is indeed the salivary glands all dried out from blockage by either calcium deposits or extreme dryness of mouth side effects from the statins then bacterias proliferate. That's my humble opinion, do not take it as advice on anything, check w your doctor. The receptionist or whichever title she has at the desk, refused to understand my situation that this infection is not a joke, it's in the blood stream and can cause sepsis and death for nothing. I told her it won't take more than 5 to10 minutes, no blood test needed, no Xray, I already had my problem figured out, prove me wrong, please grant me that favor anybody to renew my Rx I was already on, I did not ask for the moon, she said to come back tomorrow but I'm in Hoag hospital for my husband radiation and chemo till about 3pm. There must be some leeway for cases like mine, she showed no compassion. Dr Schacter is my hero, 6 stars for him, 2 stars refer to the office help, indifference to patients suffering.
