30 year comedy veteran, Willie Barcena, is always a crack up

This is a beautiful Laugh Factory. Classy and professional. I love watching my favorite comedian, Willie Barcena , perform here. One of the owners, Harry, is a class act.

Got free tickets to a 7pm Friday night showing and had an AMAZING time! They serve food and alcohol, all at very reasonable prices. There's a two item minimum per person, which is not a huge requirement. The two hours show went by quickly because the comedians were super funny and kept us laughing from beginning to end. The revenue was very clean and there's free parking available on the street, and well as at the rear parking structure. Since it's located in the heart of downtown Covina, there's a huge selections of bars for you to kill time before & after the show. Laugh Factory is definitely a 8/10!

The Laugh Factory stands out for its theater/orchestra style seating. There's private seating/VIP as well as seating on the actual stage. We visited on 9/6 and saw 4 comedians. It was pretty cool, just wish the sets lasted longer. Sean Grant was hilarious! He was super personable as well and allowed us to take a photo with him. Tickets were around 120 for two, with a 2 drink minimum. We also ordered chips and salsa, which was pretty good. Very cool venue with ample parking in the back. Can't wait to go back!

We really liked the decor, an old art deco design movie theater from many years ago, with a good design and upgrades. The comedians were decent, with Sean Grant being the best one- he went on last. Two drink minimum, as is usual at comedy clubs. We were on the VIP list, Two at a table on the upper deck on the side. We really liked the seating, as it was private. We will return soon- we liked the bars and restaurants along the street from the club. The only thing that I didn't like was that we spent over $120 for our seats and the show was barely one hour. Perhaps add a bit more time to the sets, so we can finish our drinks.

The venue is amazing. They revamped the old school theatre into a venue that shows mostly comedy shows. Laura and Harry are outstanding hosts. They really go the extra mile to make sure their patrons are having a great time. Laura saw that we had a limited view up in the balcony and moved us up to the gold circle seats on the stage. She really made the night special for us. My wife really took a liking to her. We will definitely be back soon for future events!

Found parking behind the building at the structure and it was free. My sister invited me to the Laugh Factory to see Erik Rivera. I had no idea who he was, but by the end of the show I was a fan. The theater is really nice and I asked my sister if she had been here before and she said she saw the film Grease here, back when it was a movie theater! They oversold the show and we just barely made the cut and got a table inside towards the back. It was a great view and we were able to eat and drink with enough room for everyone. Page with the cool hair was our server and she was very attentive. I ordered the mozzarella sticks and it came with buffalo sauce instead of marinara. I asked one of the younger guys handing out everyone's food to please get me marinara instead and he said something about the chef and then walked off and never returned with the correct dipping sauce. I'm not a fan of eating at comedy clubs, but I'll do it since there's a two item minimum, but the fact that the guy just walked off and not come back with an apology or the correct sauce is enough for me to just stick to water. Overall, great venue, the host and the comedians were excellent, Page was a great server, but the food was lacking.

Hmm, where to begin.. Well it's first come first serve seating so get there early if you want to get seats in closer to the front. Unless you get VIP seats, you go in a separate line that gets to go in first. The place it self was nice, cozy, and kind of cramped. It can get cold so bring a jacket if you get cold easily. This place requires you to buy two things off their menu. Which.. honestly kind of threw me off because you have only one cup holder and if you're not sitting in the front you don't have a table so you if you want to order food then you don't really have space to enjoy your food. But I ended up getting two drinks a $6 virgin margarita and $6 ginger beer. Which I didn't really enjoy having to hold a cold drink in a super cold theatre after coming in from the cold rain. The service was not bad but I heard a server tell some other customers as they were paying that their bill "didn't include tip." The whole two items required per person really just threw me off because I came for the comedy and we didn't want to be rude and refuse drinks.. because would they kick us out for not wanting to order? I'm not sure and I didn't want to find out. And on top of that, the server was pressuring some people to tip? It just didn't feel very welcoming

So nice to have a comedy place nearby. We enjoyed the show, the seating area (no bad seats), and service. We only had beer and shared some chicken tenders and fries, which were okay...nothing to brag about. Their menu is limited, so future outings we'll have drinks only. Our server was friendly and prompt. The comedians were funny and we plan to go back.

View from the "VIP" seating. Not worth it. Seats are too far deep.

We went on a Friday night and parking was very challenging we ended up walking a good distance to get to the venue. Once we arrived it was very small compared to the brea improv, id guess that it holds around 10 to 15 percent of the audience that brea does. The up side is that not a single seat is far from the stage. So it feels very intimate. 2 items minimum per person, same menu as the brea location. Table service and you can scan a QR code on the table to order yourself. I had pepperoni pizza and my fiance had her regular chicken quesadilla. Ordered some seasoned fries, a Pepsi, and chocolate brownie sundae. We had a great time, if the parking situation was better it would be a fantastic venue. I'll definitely return.

Ended up ordering a drink and a dessert each to meet the 2 item minimum. We got the cheesecake the and dessert nachos and both were excellent. As for drinks, I ended up getting a spicy margarita mocktail and my partner got a regular margarita. Our drinks took forever to arrive, and when it did, I realized that my mocktail had alcohol in it. Since the drink was kinda sweet, you dont really taste the alcohol at first, but I started getting the Asian flush so there was definitely alcohol in it. Not a big deal for me since I dont mind the alcohol, but I'd imagine this could be serious for people who are avoiding alcohol (Allergies, pregnancy etc). Other than that, the venue is great. Intimate vibes, great setting, clean establishment, good AC :P Will return again!

It is wonderful to see that it's still around, thriving, and headlining some of the absolute best comedians in the business. My niece, nephew, mom and I came to see the headliner, John "Polar Bear" Gonzales. I like him for his Mexican-American stick, where he compares the white and Mexican side of his family. The venue itself is pretty solid, super clean, and spacious, while the main room maintains a nice, tight, and intimate vibe. The setup is excellent--you can get a decent view from almost anywhere in the room, and both the sound quality and lighting are great. Just keep in mind that the seating is a bit compact, and it gets pretty cold in there once the AC kicks on, so you might want to bring a jacket. There is a standard two-drink minimum, and the prices are reasonable. The also offer specials. The drink service inside the showroom is fast and comes without any attitude. Pro tip: Don't buy a drink at the external bar beforehand if you only plan to hit your two-drink minimum for the event. All in all, we spent about $180 (including tip) for six drinks, garlic parmesan fries, mac and cheese, and mozzarella sticks. The alcoholic drinks were loaded and well-crafted, though the mocktails could have used a bit more flavor punch. As for the food, everything was tasty and hit a solid, dependable Chili's quality level. The staff was super friendly, and I really appreciated that the servers checked in often while being incredibly mindful not to block anyone's view of the comedy show while taking orders. For parking, you can choose between metered street parking or a paid lot across the street for $15. If you arrive early enough, there is street parking available--we lucked out and found a spot just a couple of spaces down from the venue. It's a fantastic, nostalgic night out that still delivers.

8/12/26 Nurse John show…read more My husband and I came here for Nurse John's comedy show at the improv. A couple weeks leading up to the show, I emailed the improv to inquire about ADA seating. It took a few days to receive a response. After some back and forth, they couldn't help me since I bought my tickets from Stubhub and the ticket info wasn't released until the day before. I tried to contact them via phone and email prior to the event to ask but not a single soul got back to me. The customer service on this front is rated 2 stars for me. I would have been dead before I got an answer. Evening of the show, line was wrapped about the restaurant. They don't admit until 930p for the 945p show time, however, it was still delayed. I read a bunch of not so pleasant online reviews and didn't expect much with this venue. A long line of people filed in and there was appointed seated when we got in. We got some decent general admit seating areas in the middle. Easy to walk with only a few steps to the restroom. Not sure if there is another area that has a wheelchair ramp but glad I didn't have to use it. Tables are cramped but worked out. QR code ordering for your table. Two item requirement per ticket. Not sure how they track this stuff but my husband and I were super hungry so the two item minimum was no big deal. *sorry about my blue hued food items. Lights already dimmed by the time they arrived. Everything tasted delicious. I loved our server gal. I asked for tap water and she informed me she will try to get back to me. They are rushed to get all ordered drinks and alcohol out before the show and if she can, she will bring me a water later. I wasn't holding my breath since it was so busy. To my surprised, 15mins into the show she stopped by with two glasses of water. I truly appreciated her. Overall, I gotta give all the servers props for doing the hustle before, during snd before the show ends. They have to take the orders for this who don't use the QR ordering, get the food and drinks out and make sure you check out before show ends so you can just walk out. Not an easy job for sure. *food service five stars* The first opening act was bleh, second act was better and the main act was superb. Nurse John was great! There are definitely some improvements Brea improv can make concerning communication/customer service via phone and email. At least return a call or shoot an email response. Hope they can take this feedback to heart.

I found the show through an ad promoting a 2-for-1 ticket deal: two tickets for the price of one ($15), with a two-drink minimum per person. The 2-for-1 was in the ad and even printed on the ticket itself. But when we went to scan in, the older gentleman checking tickets told us that wasn't how it worked. When we pointed out that it was exactly what had been advertised and says on the ticket, he said he'd "do us a favor" and let us in this time, but told us to "take care of our server." The venue wasn't full -- we were seated in the first section, and the upstairs wasn't being used at all -- so it's hard not to wonder if this was less about ticket policy and more about steering people toward bigger tips for the servers. Either way, it was a rough way to start our first visit to the Laugh Factory. Fortunately, everything after that was great. The hosts and comedians were hilarious, the servers were attentive, the drinks were good, and the venue itself was comfortable. I'd absolutely come back -- I'd just call ahead first to confirm ticket details so I don't have to deal with that unwelcoming entry experience again.
