Saw a comedy show over the weekend. My first time here. It's a small venue and every seat seems to be good. There is free parking which is a nice perk!

Hugeeee venue with great lighting for the comedians. Been here a couple times for a show and always enjoyed it. Standard procedures for these kind of club is a drink or food minimum, so be prepared to order something. Personally not a fan of the rule, but the club gotta make their bread somehow. I do like their fried pickles chips and they're worth a try. parking can be found around. I parked at a structure across the street but i'm sure you can find more around.

First time came in for a show at their new venue. It was Ali Wong's first stand up comedy show after her long break. She was great as always but a bit rusty in my opinion. We saw her in Vegas before pandemic and she was fantastic! This venue is huge with so many seatings but very few booths. No more little round tables in the front. Maybe they replaced those with bigger tables considering how packed this show was! Food and drinks are still very good and reasonably priced. Still a great comedy club that we will visit from time to time!

Brea Improv is a fun, no frills comedy venue that's easy to enjoy if you go in knowing what to expect. Parking is refreshingly simple with tons of free public parking right across the street, which already puts it ahead of many other venues. There's a two item minimum that mostly means bar snacks and drinks, so nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. The room isn't very large, but arriving closer to when doors open is a good idea unless you have VIP tickets and want to avoid sitting way in the back. Seating is a bit tight and shared, but once the show starts that fades into the background. Overall, it's a lively, intimate comedy experience that feels relaxed and easy, exactly what I want for a night out laughing.

Such a great venue! My family and I went for Marcello Hernandez and we had so much fun!! Love how spacious the venue is and how organized everything was. We definitely recommend getting VIP because the GA line was around the building and the VIP seats are really up close! Staff were friendly and got our orders in quickly! Their menu has a lot of diverse options ranging from wine, cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, burgers, appetizers, and desserts. The restrooms were also clean with a lot of stalls. Great location to check out your favorite comedians. We will definitely be back!!

First time at a comedy show and first time at the improv and boy did I laugh a lot here! I've always been a bit skeptical about going to comedy show and I haven't really had an interest to attend one. Ended up being a great time and I definitely would want to go back with the right comedian. Andrew Santino was awesome and so were all of his openers. He was so funny and knew how to interact with the crowd during the show. For parking here, there is a parking garage across the street and a shopping center, I would recommend dining in the shopping center first. The line for the improv was quite long, once we got in we walked through a dark hallway to be seated. The theater was small but more spacious to fit people than I thought. We sat at a long table in the back with our large group. Upon sitting down, waiters come to get your order for food and drinks, its a two item minimum per person. I got the burger and it was not good at all, it did the job but it was dry and just what you would expect. Fries were decent though. I would definitely recommend coming here for the experience of the comedian, I think they should add TV's on the sides of the venue so you are able to see the comedian better.

We went to see Marcelo Hernandez and it was such a great experience, really nice for date night. The doors opened at 9:30, we got there at 9 and the line was already wrapped around the building (2 corners wrapped). The seats are first come first served so definitely encourage arriving early. Our seats were not bad either way, we had a great view of the stage and people were not in the way. It's an intimate setting so I think pretty much any seat will have a decent view. This show in particular was no phones/smart watches so they lock them in a little bag and get unlocked after the show ends. The shows start time was 9:45 but it was raining so I think they were a little bit behind schedule (probably only by 10 mins). They seated us and took our orders right away. They encourage ordering everything at the same time especially since they are taking the whole venues order at the same time. We ordered garlic fries and mozz sticks, which were tasty and didn't take too long to come out. They have a decent selection of food items too. The only thing that was a downside was that the chair was so extremely uncomfortable for me. I don't know if it was the wooden back, the cushion was flat or what but it was so uncomfortable. I asked my partner about his and he said he was fine so take it with a grain of salt. Otherwise the experience was great! The show ended around 12:15am so a really solid set. Had great laughs, good food and a great night! I would definitely return to see other comedians and recommend this for a date, hangout, or something fun to do!

Absolute Gem I love this venue! I really enjoy the live comedy performances the Improv puts together! This venue is beautiful yet has a classic feel that gives you nostalgic FOMO! Getting away from the mundane and laughing so hard my smile hurts and my stomach is sore, feels pretty darn good! Also it's fun coming with your friends or even solo out to see comics you've been a fan of for a long time, and new comics on the come up! So come out support your local comics and also ones coming to visit! If that wasn't enough to peak your comedic interest then this should be the cherry on top. The food is actually really good. Not your typical frozen microwave dishes. These dishes have character and flavor profiles. My friends and I keep ordering our favorites when we go but I like trying some of the other menu items, fried Oreos, fried pickle chips, pizza, and the mozzarella sticks were amazing! Cocktails and beers on tap are all amazing too as I keep ordering the old fashioned and the Elysian Space Dust! Come see what the fun is all about!! There's a comedy community here and you're missing out! Thanks so much to Brea Improv and all the friendly and helpful staff you guys are all rock stars!!!

We had the greatest time! Food was so yummy! Mozzarella sticks! Spinach dip! The donuts!! Food was fast! Drinks were fast! And the show was incredible. I love it here. It's always a blast!!

Came here for a show on Valentine's Day. It was a great and funny show - Damon Wayans, Jr. the drinks were good and came out fast (2drink minimum per person). The new venue is nice and remodeled. Definitely a lot bigger and nicer than the old one. The only reason they didn't receive 5 is because the seating is horrible. We sat at a long table with a a few people in front of us and how the seats were arranged, you're looking directly behind someone's or a few someone's head(s). If you go, and want to see the show, get there at least an hour early to get one of the front facing seats or pay extra for VIP.

We came for a late night show. I would highly advise to come with plenty of time for queuing. It is first come first serve for seating so if you want a good spot, you have to be here early. There is plenty of parking nearby or with a short walk. Do not expect the best service and keep in mind you are here for the show. There are QR codes on the table to place your order or you can ask a server. Servers are very busy coming and going everywhere so I would highly recommend just to use the QR code. We waited a very long time to even get water. My bf had a coughing episode from the michelada and by the time we got water, he was done coughing. The michelada was whatever, not the best. I prefer to go with canned product as you know what you are getting. We have tried their food in the past and have been disappointed for the quality for the value. Overall it is a very convenient location but not the best service and food.

Saw Jamie Kennedy he did a meet and greet after the show

A good time with laughs and alright drinks and food. I had the pizza it was a flat bread. Ordered sliders but they forgot to add it which is fine since it saved me some money lol I did try some drinks including the watermelon margarita. Was fortunate to snag a promotional deal on tickets and basically just had to do the 2 item minimum. They did a meet and greet after with Jamie Kennedy who performed that night. I got a selfie with B-rad from malibus most wanted and got a funny stand up comedy dvd and cd which he signed Nice fun atmosphere.

When buying booth seats, do I purchase 1 booth for the set price or am I purchasing 4 tickets for the booth? It says for the booth is $95 and admits 4.

When you click on the option to purchase a booth, it will automatically default to four tickets @ $95 each. This typically includes $200 bar/food credit. So you do not have the option to purchase one ticket at $95.… Read more

How do we purchase a booth? It is not available the website

If it is not on the website, they are most likely sold out for that performance.

    What time do doors open?

Tickets usually say when doors open. For 10:00 shows they usually let you in between 9:30-9:50 depending when and how fast the first show gets out.

How long ahead of time should we wait in line for Chris D Elia?

    Until after you turn 18

If I purchased a GA Booth ticket, how many people does that ticket admit, 1 or 4? If I only purchase 2 tickets, will we be seating with 2 other people?

Booth tickets seat 4 people! So you should get 4 separate ticket ID's to check in.

Can you avoid online ticket fees by purchase in person?

No, I tried that too and it's the same last time I checked.

I am coming down for my best friend's college graduation and I wanted to surprise her with tickets, but they say 21+. I am 20 and at that time will be 3 months from my 21st. do you think they'd let me in?

No, they card everyone at the door. Maybe try a different show or location

What does a $200 food and beverage credit mean for booth seating?

It means that $200 will be applied towards your two item, per person minimum. If you keep it to 2 items each for 4 people, most likely that will cover the entire bill.

Do you need a vaccine record or a negative covid test result to go see a show?

Are there seats for 2 people? My wife and I were thinking about going and we'd like to sit alone.

Yes you can but only at a booth. But the booth is the best bang for buck as you need to purcchase items and with the booth some are included. The booth is the best for a couple!

If everyone in my party purchases tickets separately but we arrive together, will we be seated together?

Yes, but you must be together and its worth the money! Big bang for buck as you have to purchase two items each. The booth provides you with much more bang for buck.

What does it mean when doors open two hours before the show actually starts? eg: doors open at 5. Show starts at 7?

They allow you to enter the theater and be seated when the doors open. You can order food and drinks and dine in your seats until the show begins at 7. I believe they stop serving once the show begins so it is best to arrive early.

Purchased two tickets for tonight. How early should we line up to get a table spot?

Does anyone know if Brea Improv has 18 and under Comedy shows?

Yes they do, if they haven't changed things. It's usually during the week though. The weekends are definitely 21+

    Where are booth seated located?

Last time I was there, there were tables that butted up to the stage that could seat 8-10 people each and the booths were behind those. Close to the stage, but not too close. I think there might've been booths at the very back too.

Everyone is amazing and gracious in spite of doing this over and over and I'm certain no two shows are the same. I would only change one thing and that is that the theater request all guests to have a slight bit of theater etiquette. I understand this is an audience friendly show with interactions between cast and audience, some of these families do not prepare their children for how to behave nor correct inappropriate behavior during the performance. At last night's show a young boy hit "Billy" so hard with the stuffed rabbit that his glasses flew into my lap 5 feet away. We noticed "Billy" had a band aid on the rest of the show. Whether that was a joke or real, the boy should have been reined in by his parents long before because he was also talking or shouting out through the performance. The cast handled it with ultimate professionalism and rolled with the "punches" as it were. This truly shows how amazing they all are and why The Maverick is a great place to see a show. Now if they would just do Clue on stage again ;-)

It was pretty damn crowded. For parking, we avoided the adjacent parking structure all together. You can tell that was the first place people attempted, but we just circled the nearby Ralph's shopping center lot since you were allowed to park there. After about 5-minutes, we easily found a spot, and less than a 5-minute walk, we were already there. The festival itself has a shopping village with local vendors, a beer garden and of course music. Though the event skewed a little older at night, it was cool to see so many people out and and about. When the music was playing, there were lots of people on their feet dancing and laughing, and if you just wanted to sit and enjoy the spectacles, they had plenty of seats put up for you to rest your keister. Though we didn't purchase anything from the vendors, we did stop by a lot of the restaurants in the area to see what they had. Our biggest score of the night was stumbling upon Merely Sweets. We bought some cupcakes, propped up and watched the festivities. The festival goes on every weekend until the end of September. Even if you're not into jazz, it's cool to stroll and see what Brea has to offer. I think it's great for the community and gets you out of the house for a night!
