It's wonderful to have the Improv close to home! They showcase new and known comedians, and on this night, we were seeing the legendary Love Master himself, Craig Shoemaker. Seating was General Admission, with guests being seated in queueing order. We got there early and were seated close to the stage, toward the right. We did notice some tables being reserved, so there must be a way to call ahead for your party. We were brought to a bench seat & chairs combo, which appears to be the bulk of the seating, with a few tables and chairs set for 4 up front. There is a 2 drink and/or food item minimum. Because we're a fun loving group, that minimum was quite easily met! A couple drinks each, seasoned fries and cheese sticks. We had a dedicated server for our section who was efficient and friendly. I felt badly for him as there's really no room for scooching through tables without guests really tucking into their table or moving their legs to the side when chairs are turned toward the stage. He was a good sport, and we had a laugh and a "sorry" along with the "excuse mes." Sadly, my accompanying pic is so blurry ‍ (didn't look at it until later) due to one of these said chair bumps which brings me to seating. It's tight. When I turned my chair around to face the stage, I was practically joining the ladies whose table was stage-side. Fortunately, they were fun loving and the one closest kept hitting my leg when she guffawed. She was in her 80s and was living it up. But, it does give a sense to the closeness. If one is sitting on the bench side, this is likely not an issue. It may also not be an issue if you're seated in a middle are vs up close. Bathrooms were clean, indoor temp was cool with good circulation and service was friendly. No photos once the show starts. Sit back, be present, and enjoy a night of laughter! read more

Solely reviewing the actual venue, not the show. The venue was great. The staff was friendly, and the service was good. We went for a drag brunch with a group of 6. Parking at the mills was easy. We got there early and were checked in and seated right away. Food was easy to order. They have QR codes on the table, which made it very convenient and easy to order and pay digitally. In fact, I wish more restaurants did that to accommodate large parties because it made it so much easier to split and pay for our food and drinks. They also have the option to not use that feature. I would never come here again, the seating here sucks! They try to squeeze as many people in for more profit of course. We paid for VIP seating and the layout was so horrible. Seating is so tight, you can barely squeeze into your seat. If you have 2 tickets you don't get a table to yourself they will sit 2 more people at chairs in front of your table. Keep in mind these are already very small tight tables and then you're sitting there rubbing elbows with someone else. I'm not exaggerating see the pictures! read more

Fun place to see comics at an affordable price, it's located in a mall plaza so there are plenty of things to do before the show. The two item minimum requirement isn't so bad. My boyfriend and I came to see Michael Blaustein. We sat towards the back. If you want seats near the front come early at least maybe an hour. They offer food and drinks. 2 items minimum per person. We got chicken and waffle, 2 fish tacos, iced tea, an alcoholic drink and key lime pie in a dessert cup. Food and drinks were good. Service was okay. The Ontario Improv is "that girl" lol. It's nestled in the Ontario Mills shopping center and is a cozy comedy space. The support staff (waiters, waitresses, vendors, t-shirt sellers, host) everyone provided great customer service. I had the privilege of being helped by Brandon - super kind, on top of everything made sure my guest and I were taken care of throughout the whole show. He was a vibe. And of course MS PAT did her thang! Like many have stated already there is a 2 purchase minimum per person which is basically a drink and some food or two drinks , however you want to do it. The food was OK the drinks were good overall 9/10 would recommend this place. read more

This has got t be my 3rd time here and I have to say for the 2 item minimum, the food and drinks suck. We had VIP seats for Nate Jackson and I ordered a Angry Orchard hard cider and a bottled water and the Cider was so flat. I tasted like apple juice with no carbonation at all. My sister ordered deep fried Oreos and they were sub par. I wish they would improve the food quality and alcohol quality a lot. It's a shame. As for Nate Jackson and the comedians they get to perform here I give them 5 stars. It's so nice to not have to drive to L.A. to see these top tier comedians so thank you Ontario Improv for that. read more

There were a lot of people at the Improv to see the twins. I've never watched their comedy, so I didn't know what to expect. These guys were hilarious! They had a lineup of comedians come up and everyone of them were amazing except for one comedian who has been out of the game for over a decade. But then the host twins came up afterwards and made everyone laugh again. The whole night was fun! The service was friendly and the food and drinks came fresh and with good quality ingredients. I will definitely be back! This was a lot of fun! read more

We had never been to The Improv so, we didn't know what to expect. We went to see Tavin Dillard and we had a really fun evening. The show was great! We were with a large group so, it was even more fun! The food was good. We had tacos and chips and corn guacamole. Our server was amazing! He was attentive and very helpful. read more

Been to Ontario mills plenty of times and just noticed this place! Drinks were good although I couldn't really taste the alcohol in the cosmo martini. Service was good and quick surprisingly with how packed it was. Space is a little crowded but also feels intimate. If you are on the shorter side, try getting there early. Had a date night with the BF, decided to hit the improv, located in Ontario mills. We got there, and were immediately seated, no waiting. Thankfully the air conditioning was working and it was cool; however the seats were small and uncomfortable. I enjoyed the show but it very expensive. 2 tickets cost 62$ and then each person must purchase 2 items, we got the Asian salad and chicken sandwich (the food was good at least) and 2 bottled waters but that cost another $60ish. So it was like a 120$ for 2 people, more than I wanted spend! read more

What a fabulous night! Ventured out for a girl's night out on a Thursday/School night and we had a blast! We had tickets for the 7:30 show and got there slightly before the doors opened at 6pm. There was a shorter line for VIPs as well as a general admission line, with about maybe 50 people in it already. They started letting VIPs in exactly at 6pm and general admission maybe 5 minutes later. They scanned our tickets and checked our bags quickly. Once we entered, they worked to get us all seated. It was very efficient. They gave us the option of a booth or a table and we chose the table, even though that meant there would be two other people seated with us. We sat with a nice couple and bantered a bit together throughout the evening. I ordered the boneless buffalo wings and the seasoned fries along with a Sprite in their souvenir glass. My friend ordered the warm pretzels, angus sliders and a Sprite in their souvenir glass. I was surprised at the quality of the food, given some of the other reviews on here. Everything was very good! The wings were best when they were piping hot though. When they cooled down a bit, the texture became a little off. The souvenir glasses came with unlimited refills all night. Service was top-notch and our server Ray was attentive, efficient and amazing! We visited Ontario Improv to see Anjelah Johnson and Mal Hall opened for her! This was my third time seeing them live! My face seriously hurts from laughing so hard and so much! Mal is returning in November as the headliner and we may try to catch that show as well! No video or photos were allowed during the show. Original Improv setup!! Yesss! Different from the new Brea Improv layout this location has the original setup. Why is that better you might ask? Well for one you get a better close up experience to the comedians!! And the seating is still better than the long table rows seen at Brea-- the arrangement is worth your money too!! The connection you get with the experience with comedian is soo much better. My best friend and I got there early before the show began and we got the front seats - by the stage! If you have a comedian you want to see or a fun night of laughs this is the place to go!! Servers were friendly and attentive. Everything is digital but they were able to provide a paper copy to order. We kept it simple with Stella's, boneless wings, fries and the artichoke dip. Tip. Only thing is if you ask for a copy of the receipt they might forget so you may need to ask twice or stop by their back counter for a copy. read more

The only problem with the comedy shows is that you end up arriving an hour to an hour in a half before the show starts to get the best seats. I recommend VIP. I grew up in the Inland Empire and before i left the area, they were barely building this place so I never got to check it out. I came here with a few girlfriends to see a comedy show and didn't really know what to expect. I am a little hesitant of comedy shows but decided to accept the invitation. The venue itself is located in the Ontario Mills. Parking sucks but there are so many parking spots just might not be right in front of the venue since it is in the same parking lot of mall. The venue is clean and staff is great. Even the emcee before the show began, was funny and played some great music. The food and drink menu was great. You can order your food on your phone and keep the tab open if you want to continue ordering stuff throughout the show (very convenient). My favorites are the mozzarella sticks, nachos, and chicken tenders. Prices are a little higher but well worth it. The show itself was funny. We went to the showing of the Dirty Show with the Smash Brothers. All the special guests made me laugh and at times I felt was super inappropriate lol. I checked the schedule and they have a great calendar of laughs. So if you are in the area or live in the IE, I highly suggest to come see a show. You will laugh out loud and have a great time with your friends. Get there early to get a good seat int he house and enjoy your night of laughter!!! read more

White Corn Guacamole with Chips: Lackluster overall in presentation and flavor. Chips felt like they were taken straight from the bag. It was cold, they could've at least lightly toasted it. The guacamole tasted very plain, they could've used some lemon mixed in the dip. Improv Burger: So worth to get compared to other options. The burger was decently sized and it comes with a good amount of fries! Darker the Berry: Sweet like berries tastes like Berry combined with sprite. You can't taste the alcohol at all. Spicy cucumber: It's an okay drink. The spiciness came from the jalapeno. I would recommend this if you wanted a drink that's a bit more on the simple side. It's not a fun drink. Attended a Martin Amini show at The Ontario Improv on 2/28/25. This Improv is located at The Ontario Mills Mall next to the AMC Theaters. Very friendly staff and street tacos weren't bad! It's a 2 item minimum order per person, but noticed the next door table didn't appear to order any food or drinks other than water. Parking is free in the mall parking lot. We had so much fun tonight seeing Anjelah Johnson again, for my fourth time and my fiancés first!! . I'm so glad she still comes to the Improv when she can easily sell out stadiums. She finished with Nail Salon and got the audience all involved at a few points in the show!! We love you Anjelah!! Nice also that her friend Mal came to join as her opener. The Improv does such a great job serving food to a large group in a good amount of time during a comedy show. We got the Improv burger, Street tacos and the salted caramel dessert cup. The venue is pretty standard. I mean it's kinda like the movies where the food and beverages are overpriced to bring in some kinda income for the space-which isn't an issue. However, the're very skimpy on the food and beverages plus the food is too lackluster to balance everything out. I had a party of 4 with me. Here's what was ordered and the comments to go along with each I ordered the corn tortillas with the guac, corn and beans, plus the impossible burger: I've never had guac that was so plain. Even grocery store guac has more flavor than this. You'll need to add lemon and salt yourself...and it's hardly enough gip to go with the chips. As for the burger, you can't go wrong with a burger. I got mine with fries-which they hardly brought enough ketchup for. The others got the shrimp tempura and buffalo cauliflower. Cauliflower was ok, but the tempura had a lot more crust and breading with these itty bitty baby shrimp inside. Nobody finished the tempura, not even the party next to us who ordered the same thing. Next time I'd probably get nachos and a burger with fries. As far as the ambience, you're packed in pretty tight. I mean every seat is accounted for, there are booths and the regular chairs. I don't think you get to pick-at least we didn't. I'd go again if the headline act is worth it. read more
